Versatile grinding for demanding samples

The IKA A 10 basic is a newly designed batch mill that stands out for its exceptional flexibility in day-to-day laboratory work. Not only does it grind hard and brittle materials, but it also handles soft or fibrous samples up to a volume of 50 ml with ease. A key advantage for analytical work: the grinding chamber features integrated connections for water cooling. Furthermore, samples can be embrittled with dry ice directly in the grinding chamber, which makes it possible to process tough, greasy or water-containing substances.

Safety and durability

Safety and robustness were the focus during the development of the A 10 basic. The unit only starts up when the lid is correctly closed and features a quick-stop function as well as a lid lock during operation. The built-in brushless motor not only runs pleasantly quietly but is also extremely wear-resistant, guaranteeing a long service life.

Precise Control and Reproducibility

All parameters can be conveniently controlled via the intuitive membrane keypad. A digital display with a timer function shows the grinding time precisely, whilst intermittent operation ensures optimised mixing and comminution. As the grinding chamber, beater geometry and rotational speed (25,000 rpm) are identical to those of the tried-and-tested predecessor model, the A 10, your existing test results remain comparable and valid.
