High-precision torque monitoring and real-time viscosity display

An outstanding metrological feature of the control series is the integrated high-end torque sensor. With an absolute accuracy of ±1 Ncm, it enables continuous, transient torque monitoring throughout the entire mixing process. Based on this data, the internal microprocessor control calculates the exact viscosity of the medium in mPas and displays it in real time on the large TFT graphic display. Thanks to a sophisticated electronic speed control system operating in the range of 30 to 2000 revolutions per minute, the brushless DC motor dynamically adapts to changes in load. The stirring speed therefore remains absolutely constant even during transient viscosity fluctuations, guaranteeing maximum reproducibility.

Extended functionality and uncompromising process reliability

From a process engineering perspective, the EUROSTAR 100 control offers capabilities that go far beyond conventional stirring. The system features an integrated temperature measurement function (via a PT1000 interface), a direction of rotation that can be reversed at the touch of a button (anti-clockwise/clockwise) for the targeted disruption of flow patterns, and a programmable interval mode. An integrated vibration sensor continuously monitors the test setup for imbalances or critical vibrations and initiates an automatic safety shutdown in the event of danger. Mechanical jams or thermal overloads are prevented by self-contained safety circuits. An integrated lock button also protects against unintentional parameter changes during operation.

Industry 4.0 connectivity and robust housing design

The system’s infrastructure architecture is consistently tailored to the requirements of digitised laboratory environments. With standard USB-C, RS232, Ethernet, wireless and Wi-Fi interfaces, the overhead stirrer can be seamlessly integrated into automated networks and fully controlled and validated via the labworldsoft ® laboratory software. The housing, made from coated die-cast aluminium and robust thermoplastic, meets the demanding IP 54 protection rating.
