Some samples are sensitive to the heat generated by the motor during dispersion. The T 25 mini control ULTRA-TURRAX measures the sample temperature in real time via specialised dispersion tools and can also be integrated into a laboratory environment via Wi-Fi, Ethernet or RS232; it features a compact design in the same form factor as the T 18 mini digital.

Temperature monitoring protects heat-sensitive samples

Using suitable dispersing tools, the instrument measures the sample temperature within a range of 0 to 125 degrees Celsius, with a resolution of 0.1 Kelvin and a measurement accuracy of ±1 Kelvin. A safety temperature limit can be set to protect heat-sensitive samples from degradation – useful, for example, with protein solutions or other temperature-critical preparations.

Networking via Wi-Fi, Ethernet and RS232

In addition to the USB-C interface, the T 25 mini control also connects to higher-level laboratory systems via WPAN, Wi-Fi, Ethernet or RS232, enabling remote control and parameter documentation using labworldsoft. The speed range extends from 600 to 25,000 revolutions per minute, with a deviation of ±3 per cent above 3,000 rpm and a maximum deviation of ±100 rpm below this. The processable volume ranges from 0.001 to 1.5 litres (H₂O), with a maximum viscosity of 2,000 mPas.

Compact design, brushless motor

Measuring 66 x 186 x 100 millimetres and weighing 1.8 kilograms, the unit takes up little space on the fume cupboard. The brushless DC motor draws 210 watts and delivers 160 watts, with a noise level of 75 dB(A) when no tool is fitted. Speed, timer and temperature are shown on a digital display.

Tools with temperature sensor and remote control

The patented temperature sensor function works with the S-25-EC series dispersing tools featuring an integrated sensor, such as the S 25 EC - T - C - 18 G; all S-25 tools up to 18 millimetres in size are compatible with the drive. For operation without direct access to the unit, the IKA HUB and HUB-DS remote controls are also available; both can be ordered alongside the drive via LT Laborhandel’s procurement service.

Compatible dispersing tools

From simple stirring shafts to the high-speed dissolver shaft S 25 KV - 2802, the S-25 range covers a wide spectrum of tasks; all variants up to 18 millimetres in size are compatible with the T 25 mini control. The S 18/25-ET50 disposable tube is also available for cleaning between samples; for stationary operation, a plate stand from the R-1825 series with a suitable cross-sleeve is recommended.

Selection guide: with or without temperature measurement and networking?

If you do not require temperature monitoring or a network connection, the T 18 mini digital ULTRA-TURRAX – which is identical in design but more compact – offers better value for money. For larger volumes of up to 2 litres and higher motor power without temperature measurement, the T 25 digital ULTRA-TURRAX is suitable. According to the manufacturer, a dispersing tool is expressly not included in the scope of delivery and must be selected separately, for example the S-25-EC tool with temperature measurement.
