The IKA Tube Mill 100 control is a globally unique grinding system featuring single-use grinding jars, which has been specially developed for applications where cross-contamination must be avoided under all circumstances. With an extended grinding chamber volume of up to 100 ml, it is perfectly suited to sterile grinding in the pharmaceutical, medical, forensic and molecular biology sectors.

Safety through a single-use system

The patented design combines the grinding cup and lid into a single, sealed unit. The sample is ground inside the sealed, single-use cup, which effectively prevents the escape of dust or aerosols. After use, the cup is either disposed of or reused as a sample vessel. There is no need for time-consuming cleaning of the mill between samples, and absolute protection against cross-contamination is guaranteed.

Precise control and reproducibility

The ‘control’ version offers maximum process reliability. The speed (5,000–25,000 rpm) and timer can be set precisely via the clear OLED display. Programmable test sequences and the option to set intervals guarantee reproducible grinding results. Tests can be documented and controlled via the USB interface.

Versatility for different samples

The Tube Mill 100 control processes hard, brittle, soft and elastic materials alike. In addition to the disposable beakers (40 ml and 100 ml), the scope of delivery also includes a multi-use beaker (MMT 40.1), which can be cleaned and reused where cross-contamination is not a critical concern.
