Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF450TS, 449 l, +20 to +250 °C, TwinDISPLAY

The Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF450TS offers 449 litres of internal volume and, like the UF750TS, is connected via three-phase current, while the smaller models UF160TS and UF260TS use 230 V or 115 V. Two fully insulated stainless steel doors on the clean and unclean side continue to provide the airlock function between the grey area and the clean room, controlled via TwinDISPLAY in the range +20 to +250 °C.

Design: more load capacity per shelf

The interior measures 1,040 x 720 x 600 mm and the housing externally 1,224 x 1,233 x 782 mm plus the door handles. 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, and up to 8 shelves can be fitted. Unlike the smaller TS models, up to 30 kg per shelf is permissible, up to 300 kg in total. The net weight is around 213 kg, and packed in the carton (1,330 x 1,450 x 1,050 mm) around 279 kg.

Control: TwinDISPLAY for larger batches

The ControlCOCKPIT controller with TwinDISPLAY and two TFT colour graphic displays also controls the UF450TS, and HeatBALANCE adjusts the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group between -50 and +50 per cent. SetpointWAIT starts the process time only after the setpoint temperature has been reached, and the electronically controllable air turbine distributes the heat segment-specifically in 10 per cent steps. Programmes are managed via Ethernet or USB with AtmoCONTROL, and the sequence remains stored in the event of a power failure. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C.

Electrical connection with three-phase current

The UF450TS is connected at 400 V and 3 x 230 V without neutral conductor at approx. 4,800 W, 50/60 Hz. An installation altitude of up to 2,000 m above sea level is permissible at +5 °C to +40 °C ambient temperature and a maximum of 80 % relative humidity, non-condensing. The cabinet may only be transported upright.

Safety under DIN 12880

Two redundant Pt100 sensors of DIN class A monitor each other in 4-wire measurement, and a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 under DIN 12880 switches off the heating around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. AutoSAFETY additionally monitors over- and under-temperature with an optical and acoustic alarm, and a self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding.

Choosing: between UF260TS and UF750TS

Anyone who reaches the load limit of 20 kg per shelf with the smaller Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF260TS or needs a three-phase connection will find the suitable upgrade in the UF450TS with 30 kg per shelf and 300 kg total load. For even more capacity at the same load per shelf, the Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF750TS with 749 litres and 14 shelves is the next step. Without an airlock function and with access from one side, the likewise 449 litre Memmert Universal Oven UF450plus is an option, and its temperature range extends to +300 °C.

Typical applications

With a permissible load of 30 kg per shelf, the UF450TS is also suitable for heavier load material that is passed directly between the grey area and the clean room, with a reduced risk of contamination.

For the UF450TS, options available include a full-view glass door with 4-layer insulating glazing up to 250 °C, a door interlock for alternating opening, an additional Pt100 sensor and a 4-20 mA interface.
