Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF260TS, 256 l, +20 to +250 °C, TwinDISPLAY

With 256 litres of internal volume, the Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF260TS offers more capacity than the most compact model of the TS series, with the same airlock function between the grey area and the clean room. Two fully insulated stainless steel doors on opposite sides pass load material directly between the room areas, controlled via TwinDISPLAY in the range +20 to +250 °C.

Design and dimensions

The interior measures 640 x 800 x 500 mm and the housing externally 825 x 1,314 x 682 mm plus the door handles. 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, up to 9 shelves can be fitted, with up to 20 kg per shelf and up to 300 kg total permissible load. The net weight is around 138 kg, and packed in the carton (930 x 1,380 x 930 mm) around 189 kg. As with the smaller model, a door interlock for alternating opening can be ordered from the factory, as contamination protection for wall installation.

Control: ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY

The controller works with two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays, and the HeatBALANCE function adjusts the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group in the range from -50 to +50 per cent. SetpointWAIT lets the process time start only when the setpoint temperature has actually been reached, and a calibration function covers three freely selectable temperature values. The electronically controllable air turbine works segment-specifically in 10 per cent steps, and an exhaust air flap admixes preheated fresh air. Programmes are managed via Ethernet or USB with AtmoCONTROL, and the sequence remains stored in the event of a power failure. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C.

Electrical connection and installation

The UF260TS is connected at 230 V at approx. 3,400 W or at 115 V at approx. 1,800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. An installation altitude of up to 2,000 m above sea level is permissible at an ambient temperature of +5 °C to +40 °C and a relative humidity of at most 80 %, non-condensing. The cabinet may only be transported upright.

Safety under DIN 12880

Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A monitor each other in 4-wire measurement and automatically take over the function of the other in the event of a fault. A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 under DIN 12880 switches off the heating around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and AutoSAFETY additionally monitors over- and under-temperature with an alarm. A self-diagnosis system detects faults early, and optical and acoustic alarms report faults immediately.

Choosing: between UF160TS and UF450TS

If the 161 litres of the smaller Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF160TS are no longer sufficient, the UF260TS with 256 litres and up to 9 shelves is the obvious next size. For heavier goods of over 20 kg per shelf or a three-phase connection, the larger Memmert Pass-Through Oven UF450TS is the more suitable choice. Without an airlock function and with access from one side, the likewise 256 litre Memmert Universal Oven UF260plus with TwinDISPLAY is often sufficient too.

Typical applications

The UF260TS is also designed for the direct transfer of load material and samples between the grey area and the clean room and reduces the risk of contamination when transporting the samples.
