The Memmert UF750plus universal oven is designed for large-volume batches with high demands on process reliability: 749 litres internal volume, a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C and the same electronically controlled air turbine as the base model, supplemented by TwinDISPLAY with two redundant Pt100 sensors. If one of the two sensors fails, the second automatically takes over, providing added safety during long, unattended runs with valuable or time-critical batches. Fitted with castors that can be locked in place, the cabinet, weighing around 217 kg, can be moved around the laboratory or production hall despite its size.

Forced air circulation with redundant temperature measurement

The UF750plus’s air turbine, which can be electronically controlled in 10 % increments, actively distributes heat throughout the large interior and reliably reaches the working temperature range from at least 10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C, even when fully loaded. Two DIN Class A Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire configuration monitor each other: if one sensor fails, the other takes over without the process having to be interrupted. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards. Preheated fresh air is introduced via an electronically adjustable exhaust air damper; the exhaust air outlet with throttle valve can also be controlled electronically.

ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY: HeatBALANCE and AutoSAFETY

The UF750plus is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, which features two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays. The HeatBALANCE function allows for fine-tuning of the heat output distribution between the upper and lower heating groups from -50 to +50 %, for example to compensate for temperature differences caused by unevenly distributed loads. AutoSAFETY also monitors over- and under-temperature conditions, automatically tracks the setpoint at a freely selectable interval and triggers visual and audible alarms in the event of a deviation; if the setpoint is exceeded, the heating system switches off. Programmes are programmed, managed and transferred via the Ethernet interface or USB port using the AtmoCONTROL software. A programmable door lock and a door-open detection feature can be added as options, functions that are exclusive to TwinDISPLAY units.

The interior measures 1,040 x 1,200 x 600 mm and comes fitted as standard with 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves; up to 14 shelves can be fitted in total. The external dimensions of the housing are 1,224 x 1,720 x 784 mm, and the net weight is approximately 217 kg, identical to the base model UF750. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. Those who can do without sensor redundancy and HeatBALANCE can save money by opting for the Memmert UF750 universal oven of the same design in its basic model with SingleDISPLAY. For samples sensitive to dust or air movement that cannot tolerate active air circulation, the Memmert UN750plus universal oven offers the same housing with natural convection instead of an air turbine, and still features TwinDISPLAY. Safety according to DIN 12880, enhanced by AutoSAFETY

In addition to the adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and AutoSAFETY, the UF750plus is fitted with a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. The display also allows you to select either an adjustable temperature monitor (protection class 3.1) or an adjustable temperature limiter (protection class 2). An integrated self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and 3 freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL test mark.

Installation, operation and disposal

For operation, a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall and a minimum distance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum distance of 5 cm from the side of the wall or an adjacent unit is sufficient. The unit may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 %, non-condensing. Electrically, the cabinet is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. Thanks to its castors, the UF750plus can still be moved within these specifications even after installation.
