Stainless steel 1.4571 for aggressive media

With a base area of 280 x 130 millimetres and a height of 380 millimetres, the canister fits into standard safety cabinets for flammable liquids and can also be easily placed on a normal worktop. When empty, it weighs 2.501 kilograms, so its weight remains manageable even when full. A single canister is usually sufficient for daily use at a fixed workstation; however, where there are several users or shifts, a second canister is recommended to prevent any bottlenecks during cleaning or refilling.

Maintenance of the pressure relief valve

As with all safety canisters fitted with a pressure relief valve, it is worth carrying out a regular visual inspection, particularly if the canister has been left unused in a cupboard for a prolonged period. If dirt or dried-up solvent becomes lodged on the valve seat, pressure equalisation may be impaired. A quick check before reuse is therefore part of standard health and safety procedures, regardless of which solvent is stored in the canister.

Labelling without reference to a specific standard

Bürkle labels the canister on the product page as food-safe, but does not refer to a specific standard such as EU 10/2011. Anyone requiring certification in accordance with this regulation for their own documentation should clarify this before placing an order.
