Memmert UF110plus Universal Oven, compact heating and drying oven with forced circulation and TwinDISPLAY, 108 litres, up to 300 °C

The Memmert UF110plus universal oven brings the series’ TwinDISPLAY safety features in a format that fits easily onto a laboratory bench: 108 litres’ internal volume, a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C, and two redundant Pt100 sensors that monitor each other. With up to 5 shelves and a maximum total load of 175 kg, it offers the same capacity as the base model UF110, supplemented by HeatBALANCE and AutoSAFETY for unattended processes.

Convection with redundant temperature measurement

The UF110plus’s air turbine, which can be electronically controlled in 10 per cent increments, actively distributes heat throughout the interior and achieves an operating temperature range from at least 10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C. Two DIN Class A Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire configuration monitor each other; if one fails, the second automatically takes over its function. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards. Preheated fresh air is introduced via an electronically adjustable exhaust air damper; the exhaust air outlet with throttle valve can also be controlled electronically.

ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY: HeatBALANCE and AutoSAFETY

The UF110plus is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, which features two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays. The HeatBALANCE function allows fine-tuning of the heat output distribution between the upper and lower heating groups from –50 to +50 per cent. AutoSAFETY also monitors over- and under-temperature conditions, automatically tracks the setpoint within a freely selectable tolerance range and triggers a visual and audible alarm in the event of a deviation; if the setpoint is exceeded, the heating system switches off. Programmes are programmed, managed and transferred via the Ethernet interface or USB port using the AtmoCONTROL software. A programmable door lock and a door-open detection system can be added as optional extras.

Capacity and dimensions of the Memmert UF110plus universal cabinet

The internal dimensions are 560 x 480 x 400 mm; the external dimensions of the housing are 745 x 864 x 584 mm, and the net weight is approximately 74 kg, identical to the base model UF110. Two electropolished stainless steel wire shelves are included as standard; up to five shelves can be fitted in total. The maximum total load is 175 kg, with a maximum of 20 kg per shelf. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The UF110plus can be connected either to 230 V (approx. 2,800 W) or to 115 V (approx. 1,800 W), in each case at 50/60 Hz.

Selection guide: choosing the right size from the UF range

The Memmert UF range with forced air circulation comprises eight sizes with internal volumes ranging from 53 to 1,060 litres, each also available with TwinDISPLAY. When selecting the appropriate size, the key factors – in addition to the volume – are the footprint and the number of racks required.

The UF110plus is the obvious choice when the Memmert UF75plus universal cabinet (74 litres) reaches its capacity limit, but you still wish to use TwinDISPLAY. Anyone requiring more volume and more shelves whilst maintaining the same footprint will find this in the Memmert UF160plus universal cabinet (161 litres, 8 shelves instead of 5, same footprint). Distinction: TwinDISPLAY versus SingleDISPLAY, and natural convection

Those who can do without sensor redundancy can save money with the structurally identical Memmert UF110 universal cabinet in the basic model with SingleDISPLAY. For samples sensitive to dust or air movement that cannot tolerate active air circulation, the Memmert UN110plus universal cabinet offers the same housing with natural convection instead of a fan, whilst still featuring TwinDISPLAY. Safety in accordance with DIN 12880, enhanced by AutoSAFETY

In addition to adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and AutoSAFETY, the UF110plus features a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. The display also allows you to select either a temperature selector monitor of protection class 3.1 or a temperature selector limiter of protection class 2. An integrated self-diagnostic system assists with fault finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL mark.

Installation, operation and disposal

For operation, a minimum clearance of 15 cm from the wall and a maximum clearance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum of 5 cm is sufficient on the sides relative to the wall or an adjacent unit. The unit may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 per cent, non-condensing. Electrically, the UF110plus is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior, made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, can be cleaned using standard laboratory cleaning products. As an electrical appliance, the UF110plus is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste; see Regulatory Information below.
