Unicare Black Latex, Latex gloves, Black, Powder-free, 1,000 pieces (10 x 100 pieces) - S, GS2902
Unigloves Unicare Black Latex gloves are the only latex option in this colour range and therefore differ fundamentally from the nitrile gloves in the Pearl range: they are made from natural latex rather than nitrile and are therefore not latex-free. Unicare is Unigloves’ basic range. The gloves are powder-free, with a micro-textured palm for a secure grip and a rolled cuff. Unicare Black Latex gloves are sold in a carton containing 1,000 pieces (10 boxes of 100 pieces each), in four sizes from S to XL, excluding size XS. Natural latex instead of nitrile: greater thickness, but allergy warning As a natural latex glove, Unicare Black Latex is 0.11 mm (± 0.02 mm) thick on the palm and 0.12 mm (± 0.02 mm) at the fingertips, thicker than the nitrile gloves in the Pearl range, which results in a more robust feel. As natural latex contains the allergen natural rubber latex, this glove is not suitable for people with a known latex allergy (Type I); in such cases, a nitrile glove from the Pearl range is a suitable latex-free alternative. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing, whilst the AQL value in the watertightness test is 1.5. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type B Unicare Black Latex is tested according to EN 374, Category III, Type B; this is a different protection class to the Type C classification of the nitrile Pearl gloves in this range. In addition, the glove provides protection against viruses according to EN ISO 374-5. It complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for medical disposable gloves as well as EN ISO 21420, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified according to EN ISO 13485:2016. As personal protective equipment, the glove is classified in PPE Category III. Information on food contact suitability and specific permeation values for individual chemicals is available on request. Typical applications Unicare Black Latex is suitable for applications where the elasticity of natural latex is valued and there are no known latex allergies amongst staff: Applications where the high elasticity of natural latex is preferred over nitrile, for example for work requiring a particularly precise fit Cleaning and disinfection tasks within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III, Type B Businesses that specifically use black as a contrasting colour to improve the visibility of light-coloured residues Areas of use where there are no known latex allergies amongst staff As this is a natural latex glove, it is worth briefly checking with the team before ordering to see if there are any known latex allergies. If this is the case, the Black Pearl from the nitrile range offers a colour-matched, latex-free alternative. Packaging for ongoing requirements The carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, is suitable for businesses with regular consumption, such as cleaning services, workshops or medical practices with multiple workstations. The individual boxes of 100 can be placed at different workstations independently of one another without having to open the entire carton, which keeps the remaining boxes sealed and ready to hand for longer. Unicare in the Unigloves range Unicare is Unigloves’ basic range, comprising latex gloves for everyday use. Anyone looking for a latex alternative with a different product focus will find it in the Select Black range, also black and powder-free, from another Unigloves product line. For latex-free applications, a nitrile glove from the Pearl range is a suitable alternative, such as the colour-coordinated Black Pearl. Unigloves Select Black 300 Latex Gloves, black, extra-long, powder-free, size M, 24303
Long tattoo sessions and kitchen work involving frequent contact with washing-up water have one thing in common: if the cuff is too short, liquid can quickly seep into the glove at the wrist. Unigloves has developed the Select Black 300 specifically for this scenario, described by the manufacturer itself as ‘Der lange Kreative’, the extended version of the black disposable latex glove, the Select Black. With a cuff length of 295 mm (± 5 mm), around 55 mm longer than the standard version, it provides additional protection for the wrist and part of the forearm. They are sold in a carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, in five sizes from XS to XL. Extended cuff and good-grip, chlorinated surface The name derives from the length: the technical data sheet specifies 295 ± 5 mm for size XS, and at least 295 ± 5 mm for sizes S to XL; the model designation ‘300’ rounds off this figure. At 0.16 ± 0.03 mm, the palm is noticeably thicker than on the standard Select Black version (0.11 mm), which provides additional durability during prolonged contact with water or cleaning agents; the same applies to the fingertips, which measure 0.16 ± 0.03 mm. The cuff itself is also documented as being 0.11 ± 0.02 mm thick, a measurement for which no value is given in the data sheet for the shorter Select Black version. The surface is micro-textured on the fingertips and palm for a secure grip and chlorinated on the outside to make it easier to put on and take off. According to the manufacturer, the glove is also touchscreen-compatible, allowing smartphones or tablets to be operated without removing the gloves, for example for documentation between two work steps. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type B, with three tested chemicals Select Black 300 shares the chemical resistance profile of the short version: classified according to EN ISO 374-1 in Category III, Type B, with additional protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. Three test chemicals are specified with numerical values: 40 % caustic soda with a permeation level of 6 and a degradation rate of minus 55.11 %, 30 % hydrogen peroxide with a level of 2 and a degradation rate of plus 9.7 %, and 37 % formaldehyde with a level of 2 and a degradation rate of minus 12.4 %. For other chemicals, the manufacturer’s product-specific chemical resistance table applies. Tested according to EN 455, PPE Category III The glove complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves and is manufactured under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021. The type examination was carried out according to Module B and Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 by the notified body CCQS (No. 2834); this combination of modules is intended exclusively for the highest PPE Category III. In the 1,000 ml water-tightness test, the glove achieves a high level of impermeability with an AQL value of 1.5; it is also food-safe. The data sheet does not specify a particular medical device class. Choosing the right size With Select Black 300, too, the manufacturer assigns a numerical glove size to each standard size, ranging from 5 to 6 for XS to 9 to 10 for XL, identical to the short Select Black version. SizeManufacturer’s item no.Glove sizeWidthLength XS243015-675 mm (± 5 mm)295 mm (± 5 mm) S243026-780 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 295 mm (± 5 mm) M243037-895 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 295 mm (± 5 mm) L243048-9110 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 295 mm (± 5 mm) XL243059-10≥ 110 mm≥ 295 mm (± 5 mm) Select Black 300 or Select Black: which length is right for you? Select Black 300 and the short Select Black share the same colour, chemical resistance profile and certification, but differ significantly in length and material thickness. For standard applications in the laboratory or at the treatment station, the short version with a cuff length of around 240 mm is sufficient. As soon as splash water, cleaning agents or frequent contact with liquids occur at the wrist, such as when washing up in a catering kitchen or during long tattoo sessions involving frequent hand contact with ink and disinfectant, the 300 version offers more robust protection with its cuff that is around 55 mm longer and its thicker palm. For those with a natural latex allergy, a nitrile glove such as Black Pearl from the nitrile glove range is the suitable alternative to both Select Black variants. Use, storage and disposal Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. Typical applications The extended cuff of the Select Black 300 makes a practical difference above all in these areas of use: Tattoo and piercing studios during long sessions involving repeated contact with ink, disinfectants and skin contact surfaces Catering and food processing, particularly when washing up and carrying out cleaning tasks involving splashing water on the wrist (food contact suitability according to the manufacturer) Laboratory work with an increased risk of splashes, where the extra cuff length offers a clear advantage over standard gloves Where the standard length is sufficient, the short Select Black is the more economical choice; see the distinction above. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the shift The carton of 1,000 pieces is divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, so that individual boxes can be made available independently at different workstations. In a catering kitchen with an estimated consumption of 15 gloves per dishwashing staff member per shift, one box of 100 covers around 6 to 7 shifts; a whole carton therefore covers around 65 shifts. In a tattoo studio, assuming 3 to 5 pairs of gloves per longer session (changed during breaks), one box of 50 pairs is sufficient for around 10 to 16 sessions, whilst a full carton covers 100 to 165 sessions. These are sold exclusively as whole cartons; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton How long is the cuff really, 295 or 300 mm?According to the data sheet, it measures 295 mm (± 5 mm); the model designation ‘300’ is the manufacturer’s rounded marketing figure. Who did Unigloves develop this glove for?Under the name suffix ‘Der lange Kreative’, the manufacturer explicitly lists tattoo artists, as well as the catering and food processing sectors, as the target groups for the extended cuff. Is Select Black 300 suitable for people with a latex allergy? No, the glove is made of natural latex. If you have a known natural latex allergy, a nitrile glove such as Black Pearl is suitable. How resistant is the glove to chemicals?Three test chemicals are listed with numerical values: 40 % caustic soda (Level 6, minus 55.11 %), hydrogen peroxide 30 % (Level 2, plus 9.7 %) and formaldehyde 37 % (Level 2, minus 12.4 %), identical to the short Select Black version. How does the Select Black 300 differ from the short Select Black?Primarily in length (295 mm instead of 240 mm) and material thickness (0.16 mm instead of 0.11 mm on the palm). The colour, certification and chemical resistance profile are identical. How do I find the right size?Either by the numerical glove size (XS 5-6 to XL 9-10) or by the width in millimetres; see the size chart above. Unigloves Black Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Black, Powder-free, Size M, GP0033
In a laboratory with several workstations or in a workplace with different work areas, a consistent colour-coding system helps to prevent mix-ups. Black nitrile gloves such as the Unigloves Black Pearl fulfil this function without compromising on protection or certification. These powder-free, latex-free gloves, made from fully dipped nitrile, feature textured fingertips for a secure grip during wet or oily tasks and a rolled cuff that makes them easier to put on. They are sold in a carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, in five sizes from XS to XL. Latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free As gloves made entirely from nitrile, the Black Pearl range is completely latex-free and, according to the manufacturer, also thiuram-free and protein-free. This makes them a suitable choice for staff who need to take into account allergies to natural latex or sensitisation to vulcanisation accelerators (thiurams). The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing, whilst the palm has a thickness of at least 0.05 mm, measured as a single layer in the centre of the palm according to the data sheet. Nitrile gloves with chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type C The glove is classified as a chemical-protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C, the highest protection category specified by the standard, and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. A permeation level of 6 was determined for 40 % sodium hydroxide solution according to EN 374-4, which corresponds to the highest level on the scale, with a degradation rate of minus 5.3 %. For work involving other chemicals, it is worth consulting the manufacturer’s product-specific chemical resistance table in advance, as the data sheet only lists this one test chemical with numerical values. Tested according to EN 455, PPE Category III The Black Pearl gloves comply with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for medical single-use gloves and are manufactured under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021. As personal protective equipment, they are classified in Category III, the highest PPE category for gloves involving complex risks, with type examination according to Modules B and C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 by the notified body CCQS (No. 2834). In the 1,000 ml water tightness test, they demonstrate a high level of impermeability with an AQL value of 1.5. Furthermore, they are food-safe; however, the data sheet does not specify a particular regulation in this regard. Choosing the right size With nitrile gloves, the fit determines tactile sensitivity and safety: if they are too tight, they are difficult to put on and restrict dexterity; if they are too loose, they reduce grip and may slip whilst working. The manufacturer also assigns a numerical glove size to each Black Pearl standard size, ranging from 5 to 6 for XS to 9 to 10 for XL. These numbers follow the standard sizing system used in EN ISO 21420, one of the standards against which the Black Pearl is tested, and are based on hand circumference in inches, measured at the widest point of the hand excluding the thumb. If you already know your glove size from other PPE gloves, you can use that directly; alternatively, you can refer to the specified width in millimetres. All colours share the same basic construction of fully dipped nitrile with textured fingertips, a rolled cuff and certification according to EN ISO 374-1 Category III Type C; however, according to the respective data sheets, they differ slightly in details such as the thickness of the palm and the width per size, varying between approximately 0.05 mm and 0.09 mm depending on the colour. For exact values for any other colour, please refer to the relevant product-specific data sheet. Black is particularly suitable where contrast is important: light-coloured powder residues, crystals or foreign particles are easier to spot on a dark surface than on a light-coloured glove, and in the tattoo and cosmetics industries, black has now become an established part of the look. In a workplace using several Pearl colours, black can also be used specifically for colour-coding, for example, to clearly distinguish a workstation, a process step or a shift from the other colours, without any one colour being at a technical disadvantage. Use, storage and disposal We can provide storage conditions and shelf life on request. Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. Nitrile gloves such as the Black Pearl are usually changed for each task or process step, or at the latest at the first visible sign of damage, soiling or contact with chemicals outside the tested application. After use, they are generally disposed of as commercial waste, whilst contaminated gloves are disposed of separately in accordance with internal hazardous substances regulations. Typical applications The dark colour makes the Black Pearl an obvious choice wherever contrast or a uniform appearance is required: Tattoo and beauty salons, where black has now become an established colour Laboratories and food processing, where light-coloured powder residues, crystals or foreign particles are more visible on dark gloves than on light-coloured ones Work involving 40 % sodium hydroxide solution and comparable chemicals within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III Businesses using multiple Unigloves Pearl colours, where black is specifically used for colour-coding individual workstations, shifts or process steps For example, in a laboratory with several Pearl colours, it is possible to see at a glance which workstation is currently using black, whilst in a tattoo or beauty salon, the same colour primarily ensures a consistent, professional appearance. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the change routine The carton of 1,000 pieces is divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, so that individual boxes can be made available at different workstations independently of one another, without having to open the entire carton. A simple rough calculation based on estimated consumption figures helps with demand planning: at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, a box of 100 covers around two working weeks, whilst a whole carton covers around 20 working weeks. If consumption is higher, at 30 gloves per workstation per day, one box will last for around three to four working days and a carton for a good six to seven working weeks. For businesses with multiple workstations, the same calculation can be multiplied by the number of workstations to roughly estimate the requirement for a specific period and reorder in good time. Sales are exclusively by the full carton; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process, even though the boxes can be opened and used independently of one another in the workplace. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton Is Black Pearl latex-free and suitable for people with allergies?Yes. The glove is made entirely of nitrile and, according to the manufacturer, is latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free. How resistant are the gloves to chemicals? The data sheet lists a test chemical with numerical values: 40 % sodium hydroxide solution with a permeation level of 6 and a degradation rate of -5.3 %. A breakthrough time in minutes is not specified in the data sheet; only the permeation level is given. For other chemicals, it is advisable to consult the manufacturer in advance. Are the Black Pearl gloves sterile? No, according to the data sheet, they are non-sterile, single-use gloves. How do I find the right size?Either by the numerical glove size (XS 5-6 to XL 9-10) or by the width in millimetres; see the size chart above. Can I order quantities smaller than a 1,000-piece carton? No, the sales unit is a carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each. Do other Pearl colours differ technically from Black Pearl?Slightly: the thickness of the palm and the width per size vary between colour variants as shown in the data sheets. For exact specifications of a different colour, please refer to the relevant product-specific data sheet. Unigloves Green Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Green, Powder-free, Size M, GP0043
Anyone who works in a workplace where several Pearl colours are used will be familiar with the problem: at first glance, every colour looks similar, but not every data sheet is equally comprehensive. With Unigloves Green Pearl nitrile gloves, you can check this straight away, as green is one of the few colours in the Pearl range for which the manufacturer specifies all three material thickness measurement points, the palm, fingertips and cuff, individually, rather than just one. These low-powder, latex-free gloves, made from fully dipped nitrile, feature textured fingertips for a secure grip and a rolled cuff that makes them easier to put on. They are sold in a carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, in five sizes from XS to XL. Low-powder rather than powder-free: a departure from the other Pearl colours Unlike most colours in the Pearl range, which are marketed as powder-free, the Green Pearl data sheet states a powder residue of less than 2 mg per glove and describes the product as ‘low-powder’, not powder-free. For most applications, this difference has no practical significance; however, for businesses with strict powder-avoidance policies, such as in cleanrooms, it is worth checking this specification before ordering. According to the data sheet, the glove is nevertheless latex-free and protein-free; however, unlike the other Pearl colours in our range, there is no indication that it is thiuram-free in the specification list. The material thickness is documented at all three measurement points: palm at least 0.06 mm, fingertips at least 0.08 mm, cuff at least 0.05 mm, each measured as a single layer. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type C Green Pearl is classified as a chemical-protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C. Against 40 % sodium hydroxide solution, a permeation level of 6 was determined according to EN 374-4, with a degradation rate of minus 78.9 %, significantly higher than for most other Pearl colours, which are predominantly around minus 5.3 %. Both values achieve the same permeation level 6; the difference lies solely in the degradation rate. For other chemicals, the manufacturer’s product-specific chemical resistance table applies. Tested according to EN 455 Green Pearl complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves. The type examination according to Modules B and C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 was carried out by CCQS Certification Services Limited (No. 2834), and production is certified to DIN EN ISO 13485. According to the data sheet, the glove is classified as personal protective equipment in Category III (EN 374 CAT III, Type C). An AQL value of 1.5 applies in the 1,000 ml water-tightness test; furthermore, the glove is food-safe according to the manufacturer. Choosing the right size The manufacturer also assigns a numerical glove size to each Green Pearl standard size, ranging from 5 to 6 for XS to 9 to 10 for XL. Those looking for a dark contrasting colour for cleanliness checks will find it in Black Pearl, whilst those preferring a similarly cool but completely powder-free colour will find it in Cobalt Pearl or the classic Blue Pearl. All colours share the same basic construction of fully-dipped nitrile with textured fingertips and a rolled cuff; however, according to their respective data sheets, they differ in details such as powdering and material thickness. Use, storage and disposal Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. Typical applications The green colour is suitable for work areas that are to be distinguished from other workstations in the colour-coding system: Laboratories and doctors’ surgeries that use green as the standard colour for general examinations and laboratory work Food processing (food-safe according to the manufacturer) Businesses using multiple Unigloves Pearl colours, where green is specifically used as a base colour alongside more striking signal colours for specialised areas Work involving 40 % sodium hydroxide solution and comparable chemicals within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III This means that in a facility with colour-coded workstations, it is immediately clear at a glance which work area uses green, whilst other colours from the Pearl range are reserved for exceptions or special processes. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the change routine The carton of 1,000 pieces is divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, so that individual boxes can be made available independently of one another at different workstations. A rough calculation can help with demand planning for a workstation using green gloves throughout: assuming a consumption of 12 gloves per workstation per day, one box of 100 pieces covers around 8 working days, whilst a whole carton covers approximately 16 weeks. Where there are several workstations with the same colour code, this calculation can be multiplied by the number of workstations to estimate the total requirement for a specific period and to reorder in good time. Sales are exclusively by the full carton; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton Is Green Pearl powder-free?Not quite; the data sheet lists the product as low-powder, with a powder residue of less than 2 mg per glove, rather than powder-free like most other Pearl colours. Which notified body is stated for the glove?According to the manufacturer, the notified body is CCQS Certification Services Limited (No. 2834). How resistant is the glove to chemicals?Against 40 % caustic soda, permeation level 6 was determined with a degradation of minus 78.9 %. The data sheet does not specify a breakthrough time in minutes, only the permeation level. Are the palm, fingertips and cuff fully documented for Green Pearl?Yes, Green Pearl is one of the few Pearl colours for which all three measurement points are specified with values in the data sheet: palm at least 0.06 mm, fingertips at least 0.08 mm, cuff at least 0.05 mm. Unigloves Select Black Latex Gloves, black, powder-free (sizes XS to XL), M, GT2403
Anyone who works with their hands all day, whether at the tattoo chair, in the laboratory or in the kitchen, needs a glove that doesn’t compromise tactile sensitivity and grip for the sake of safety. The manufacturer specifically markets the Unigloves Select Black latex gloves, under the name suffix ‘Der Kreative’ (The Creative One), for tattoo artists and other precision trades where dexterity is crucial to the quality of the work. Unlike the nitrile gloves in the Pearl range, Select Black is made from natural latex with micro-textured fingertips and palms for extra grip, a rolled cuff and a matt black finish. They are sold in a carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, in five sizes from XS to XL. Latex instead of nitrile: greater elasticity, a different situation regarding allergies Natural latex moulds more closely to the hand than nitrile and is therefore perceived by many users as more comfortable during prolonged wear, one reason why Unigloves specifically targets this range at tattoo artists who work for hours on end. According to the data sheet, the palm has a thickness of 0.11 ± 0.03 mm, and the fingertips 0.13 ± 0.03 mm, both measured as a single layer. According to the manufacturer, the glove is thiuram-free, meaning it contains no vulcanisation accelerators, which frequently trigger contact allergies. However, unlike the fully synthetic nitrile gloves in the Pearl range, Select Black, being a natural rubber product, does contain proteins: for staff with a natural latex allergy, a nitrile glove such as the Unigloves Black Pearl is the more suitable choice, not Select Black. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type B, tested against three chemicals Select Black is classified as a chemical protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type B, and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. The data sheet lists three test chemicals with numerical values for this glove: 40 % caustic soda achieves permeation level 6 with a degradation rate of minus 55.11 %, 30 % hydrogen peroxide at Level 2 with a degradation rate of plus 9.7 %, and 37 % formaldehyde at Level 2 with a degradation rate of minus 12.4 %. For other chemicals, the manufacturer’s product-specific chemical resistance table continues to apply. In the 1,000 ml water-tightness test, the glove achieves a high level of watertightness with an AQL value of 1.5; it is also food-safe. The data sheet does not specify a particular medical device class. Choosing the right size The manufacturer also assigns a numerical glove size to each Select Black size, ranging from 5 to 6 for XS to 9 to 10 for XL. These figures are based on hand circumference in inches, measured at the widest point of the hand excluding the thumb, and help when comparing sizes with other PPE gloves. The Select Black described here, with a standard length (≥ 240 mm), is suitable for most applications in laboratories, catering and studios. Those who need additional protection on the wrist and forearm, for example, during longer tattoo sessions or when washing up and cleaning in the kitchen, will find Select Black 300, with a cuff length of around 295 mm, to be a suitable addition. It offers the same colour and the same chemical protection profile, but with a thicker palm (0.16 instead of 0.11 mm). For staff with a natural latex allergy, switching to a nitrile colour such as Black Pearl from the nitrile glove range is the right alternative. Use, storage and disposal Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. Typical applications The combination of elasticity, grip and an unobtrusive black appearance makes Select Black particularly attractive for tasks where dexterity is paramount: Tattoo and piercing studios, for which the manufacturer has specifically developed the range Cosmetic and beauty treatments requiring a high degree of tactile sensitivity Catering and food processing (food contact suitability according to the manufacturer) Laboratory work with a documented need for chemical resistance to caustic soda, hydrogen peroxide or formaldehyde, provided there is no natural latex allergy The following applies to all these sectors: where latex is ruled out due to allergies, the nitrile Pearl range offers a synthetic alternative with the same basic features of textured fingertips and a rolled cuff. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the session The carton of 1,000 pieces is divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, so that individual boxes can be made available independently of one another at different workstations. In a tattoo or piercing studio, assuming 2 to 4 pairs of gloves per client appointment (changed during breaks or if soiled), a box of 100 pieces, i.e. 50 pairs, covers approximately 12 to 25 appointments, whilst a whole carton covers 125 to 250 appointments. In a laboratory or catering establishment, assuming a consumption of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one box lasts for approximately two working weeks, whilst a whole carton lasts for around 20 working weeks. The product is sold exclusively in whole cartons; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton Is Select Black suitable for people with a latex allergy? No. The glove is made of natural latex and therefore contains proteins, unlike the fully synthetic nitrile gloves in the Pearl range. If you have a known natural latex allergy, a nitrile glove is suitable. What has Select Black been specifically developed for?The manufacturer positions the range under the name suffix ‘Der Kreative’ (The Creative One), specifically for tattoo artists and other precision professions with high demands on tactile sensitivity and grip. How resistant is the glove to chemicals? The data sheet lists three test chemicals with numerical values: 40 % caustic soda (Level 6, minus 55.11 % degradation), 30 % hydrogen peroxide (Level 2, plus 9.7 %) and 37 % formaldehyde (Level 2, minus 12.4 %). The data sheet does not specify breakthrough times in minutes, only the permeation levels. How does Select Black differ from Select Black 300?Mainly in terms of length: Select Black has a cuff of at least 240 mm, whilst Select Black 300 has a cuff of around 295 mm for additional wrist protection, as well as a thicker palm (0.16 mm instead of 0.11 mm). The colour, certification and chemical profile are identical for both. How do I find the right size?Either by the numerical glove size (XS 5-6 to XL 9-10) or by the width in millimetres; see the size chart above. Unigloves Pink Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Pink, Powder-free, Size XS, GP0051
The thinner a glove, the more direct the sense of touch, but the more important it is that the fit is just right. With a palm thickness of at least 0.05 mm, the Unigloves Pink Pearl nitrile gloves are among the thinnest in the Pearl range, a thickness matched only by Black Pearl among the Pearl colours in our range. These powder-free, latex-free gloves, made from fully dipped nitrile, come in a vibrant pink, with textured fingertips for a secure grip and a rolled cuff that makes them easier to slip on. They are sold in a carton of 1,000, divided into 10 boxes of 100 each, in four sizes from XS to L. Latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free As gloves made entirely from nitrile, the Pink Pearl gloves are completely latex-free and, according to the manufacturer, are also thiuram-free and protein-free. This makes them a suitable choice for staff who need to take into account allergies to natural latex or sensitisation to vulcanisation accelerators (thiurams). According to the data sheet, the palm has a thickness of at least 0.05 mm, measured as a single layer in the centre of the palm; the data sheet does not specify separate values for the fingertips and cuff. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N, both before and after artificial ageing. Thin material for high tactile sensitivity With a minimum palm thickness of 0.05 mm, Pink Pearl is one of the thinnest documented colours in the Pearl range. A thinner material transmits more tactile feedback to the fingertips, which is beneficial for tasks where fine movements and immediate feedback are crucial, such as when making fine stitches, during dental work at the treatment chair, or when carrying out precision work in cosmetics. The trade-off: a thinner glove is generally more susceptible to mechanical stress than a thicker material, which is why a more robust glove may be the better choice for rough or sharp-edged tasks. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type C Pink Pearl is classified as a chemical-protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C, and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. A permeation level of 6 was determined for 40 % sodium hydroxide solution according to EN 374-4, with a degradation of minus 5.3 %. For other chemicals, the manufacturer’s product-specific chemical resistance table applies, as only this one test chemical with numerical values is listed in the data sheet. Tested according to EN 455, PPE Category III Pink Pearl complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves and is manufactured under a quality management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021. The type examination was carried out according to Module B and Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 by the notified body CCQS (No. 2834); this combination of modules is intended exclusively for the highest PPE category, Category III. An AQL value of 1.5 applies in the 1,000 ml water-tightness test; furthermore, the glove is food-safe according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer. Choosing the right size: just four sizes instead of five in our range The manufacturer assigns a numerical glove size to each Pink Pearl standard size, ranging from 5 to 6 for XS to 8 to 9 for L, according to the data sheet. Important for ordering: Pink Pearl can be selected in sizes XS to L. Size XL (manufacturer’s item no. GP0055) is listed by the manufacturer. If you require size XL, you will find it in other Pearl colours, such as Red Pearl in XL, or please contact us via our procurement service. Amongst the warm shades in the range, Pink is lighter and more subtle than the bolder Magenta Pearl and the bright red Red Pearl. Anyone looking for the same thin material thickness as Pink Pearl but preferring a dark contrasting colour will find it in Black Pearl, which is the only other Pearl colour in our range that also achieves a palm thickness of at least 0.05 mm. All colours share the same basic construction, made from fully dipped nitrile with textured fingertips and a rolled cuff. Use, storage and disposal Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. Typical applications The combination of thin material and a striking colour makes Pink Pearl particularly interesting for tasks requiring a high degree of tactile sensitivity: Dental practices and other treatment areas involving fine motor skills when working on patients Cosmetic and beauty salons, for example during eyelash, nail or skin treatments Veterinary practices involving examinations requiring fine motor skills Food processing (food-safe according to the manufacturer) Where a more robust palm is required, such as for heavier cleaning or laboratory work, a thicker Pearl colour such as Cobalt or Green is the more suitable choice. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the treatment area The carton of 1,000 gloves is divided into 10 boxes of 100 each, so that individual boxes can be made available independently at different workstations. In a dental or beauty practice, assuming 2 pairs of gloves per treatment appointment, a box of 100 pieces, i.e. 50 pairs, covers around 25 appointments, whilst a whole carton covers 250 appointments. If consumption is higher, at 3 pairs per appointment, one box is sufficient for around 16 to 17 appointments and a whole carton for around 165 appointments. The product is sold exclusively as a whole carton; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton Is Pink Pearl also available in size XL?It is available from the manufacturer (item no. GP0055), but here sizes XS to L can be selected. For XL, another Pearl colour or our procurement service is an option. Is Pink Pearl latex-free and suitable for people with allergies?Yes. The glove is made entirely of nitrile and, according to the manufacturer, is latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free. How resistant is the glove to chemicals? The data sheet lists a test chemical with numerical values: 40 % caustic soda with a permeation level of 6 and a degradation of minus 5.3 %. The data sheet does not specify a breakthrough time in minutes, only the permeation level. Why is the palm thinner on Pink Pearl than on other colours?According to the data sheet, it is at least 0.05 mm thick, similar in thickness to Black Pearl and thinner than colours such as Cobalt (0.09 mm) or Green Pearl (at least 0.06 mm). This increases tactile sensitivity but reduces mechanical robustness. How do I find the right size?Either by the numerical glove size (XS 5-6 to L 8-9) or by the width in millimetres; see the size chart above. Unigloves Mint Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Mint, Powder-free, Size L, GP6804
The Unigloves Mint Pearl nitrile gloves add a light, cool shade of green to the Pearl range, which stands out clearly from bolder colours such as Green or Cobalt. They are powder-free, latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free, fully dipped in nitrile, with textured fingertips for a secure grip and a rolled cuff. The Mint Pearl nitrile gloves are sold in a carton containing 1,000 gloves (10 boxes of 100 each), in five sizes from XS to XL with a comparatively snug fit. Tight fit: width tolerance of just ± 3 mm Mint Pearl has a tight manufacturing tolerance: The width is 76 mm (± 3 mm) for XS, 84 mm (± 3 mm) for S, 94 mm (± 3 mm) for M, 105 mm (± 3 mm) for L and 113 mm (± 3 mm) for XL. This points to comparatively consistent dimensions within a size. The length is at least 240 mm for all sizes, whilst the thickness at the palm is 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm). The data sheet does not specify values for the fingertips or cuff. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing. Chemical protection according to EN ISO 374, Category III, Type C Mint Pearl is classified as a chemical-protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C, and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. A permeation level of 6 was determined for 40 % sodium hydroxide solution according to EN 374-4, which corresponds to the highest level on the scale, with a degradation of minus 5.3 %. Manufacturing takes place under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021; the type examination according to Module B and Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 is carried out by CCQS (Notified Body 2834). With an AQL value of 1.5, the glove achieves a high level of impermeability in the watertightness test; it is also food-safe according to the manufacturer. Unigloves Magenta Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Magenta, Powder-free, Size XL, GP8505
Gloves that fit loosely to varying degrees depending on size take time to adjust and hinder dexterity. With the Unigloves Magenta Pearl nitrile gloves, it is striking that the manufacturer specifies the same tight manufacturing tolerance of just ± 3 mm for each of the five sizes, which is tighter than for some other colours in the Pearl range. These powder-free, latex-free gloves, made from fully dipped nitrile, come in a vibrant magenta, with textured fingertips for a secure grip and a rolled cuff that makes them easier to slip on. They are sold in a carton of 1,000, divided into 10 boxes of 100 each, in five sizes from XS to XL. Latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free As gloves made entirely from nitrile, the Magenta Pearl are completely latex-free and, according to the manufacturer, are also thiuram-free and protein-free. This makes them a suitable choice for staff who need to take into account allergies to natural latex or sensitisation to vulcanisation accelerators (thiurams). According to the data sheet, the palm has a thickness of 0.07 ± 0.02 mm, measured as a single layer in the centre of the palm; the data sheet does not provide separate figures for the fingertips and cuff. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing. Tight manufacturing tolerances: consistent fit across all sizes A glance at the size chart in the data sheet reveals a distinctive feature: Whilst some other Pearl colours have a larger width tolerance, Magenta Pearl remains constant at ± 3 mm across all five sizes, ranging from 76 ± 3 mm for XS to 113 ± 3 mm for XL. In practice, this means a more consistent fit within each size, regardless of which size is chosen. This is particularly relevant for activities that require a consistently high level of dexterity, such as in the cosmetics industry or for intricate tattoo and piercing work, where a fit that is too loose or too tight can noticeably impair precision. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type C Magenta Pearl is classified as a chemical-protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C. A permeation level of 6 was determined for 40 % sodium hydroxide solution according to EN 374-4, with a degradation of minus 5.3 %. For other chemicals, the manufacturer’s product-specific chemical resistance table applies, as only this one test chemical is listed with numerical values in the data sheet. Tested according to EN 455, PPE Category III Magenta Pearl complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves and is manufactured under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021. The type examination was carried out according to Module B and Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 by the notified body CCQS (No. 2834); this combination of modules is intended exclusively for the highest PPE Category III. An AQL value of 1.5 applies in the 1,000 ml water-tightness test; furthermore, the glove is food-safe according to the manufacturer. Within the range’s warm colour palette, Magenta stands out clearly from the lighter Pink Pearl and the bright red Red Pearl, meaning that all three can be easily distinguished even when used side by side in the same workplace. If you are looking for a dark contrasting colour, you will find it in Black Pearl. All colours share the same basic construction of fully dipped nitrile with textured fingertips and a rolled cuff; the width tolerance of ± 3 mm across all sizes differs between the colours according to the data sheets. Use, storage and disposal Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. Typical applications The bold colour and consistent fit make Magenta Pearl particularly interesting for tasks that combine visible precision with a clear brand impact: Cosmetics and beauty salons with high standards regarding fit and dexterity Tattoo and piercing studios, where the colour serves not only as protection but also creates a visible, distinctive brand impact Food processing (food contact suitability according to the manufacturer) Businesses using multiple Unigloves Pearl colours, where Magenta is specifically used for colour-coding individual workstations or teams In studios with direct customer contact, the consistent fit across all sizes also ensures that every member of staff has the same grip experience, regardless of their own glove size. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the customer appointment The carton of 1,000 gloves is divided into 10 boxes of 100 each, so that individual boxes can be made available at different workstations independently of one another. In a beauty or tattoo studio, assuming 2 pairs of gloves per client appointment, a box of 100 pieces, i.e. 50 pairs, covers around 25 appointments, whilst a whole carton covers 250 appointments. If consumption is higher, at 4 pairs per appointment, one box is sufficient for around 12 to 13 appointments and a whole carton for around 125 appointments. Sales are exclusively by the whole carton; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton What does the tight width tolerance of ± 3 mm mean in practice? It ensures a more consistent fit within each size. Some other Pearl colours have a larger width tolerance, whilst Magenta Pearl remains consistently at ± 3 mm across all five sizes. Is Magenta Pearl latex-free and suitable for people with allergies?Yes. How does Magenta differ from Pink and Red Pearl? All three are distinct colours with their own data sheets. Magenta is a colour that lies between the lighter Pink and the bright red Red; technically, the main differences between the colours lie in the material thickness and width tolerance. The length is at least 240 mm in all sizes; the median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing. Tested according to EN 455 and EN ISO 374, Category III, Type C Opal Pearl is classified as a Category III, Type C chemical protection glove according to EN ISO 374-1 and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. In testing with 40 % sodium hydroxide solution according to EN 374-4, the highest permeation level 6 was achieved, with a degradation of minus 5.3 %. Manufacturing takes place under a quality management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021; the type examination according to Module B and Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 is carried out by CCQS (Notified Body 2834). With an AQL value of 1.5 in the watertightness test, the glove is also food-safe according to the manufacturer. Typical applications The light, iridescent shade makes Opal Pearl a pleasant alternative to bolder signal colours: Laboratories and medical practices that use a light, understated shade as their standard colour Food processing (food contact suitability according to the manufacturer) Work involving 40 % sodium hydroxide solution and comparable chemicals within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III Businesses that prefer a slightly thicker material to thinner Pearl colours Where several light Pearl colours are used side by side, Opal Pearl stands out slightly from more monochromatic pastel shades thanks to its iridescent tone, without appearing as bold as a pure signal colour. Application and packaging Like the other nitrile gloves in the Pearl range, Opal Pearl is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. The carton containing 1,000 gloves, divided into 10 boxes of 100 each, is suitable for businesses with regular consumption, such as laboratories, medical practices or workshops with multiple workstations, as individual boxes can be made available independently at different stations. Opal Pearl in the Pearl range Opal Pearl is one of twelve colours in the Unigloves Pearl range available from us. Other light, pastel shades in the range include Mint Pearl and Pink Pearl. Unigloves Red Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Red, Powder-free, Size M, GP0063
In hardly any other colour system is red as unambiguously assigned as in the marking of exceptions: stop, caution, special case. It is precisely this signalling effect that the Unigloves Red Pearl nitrile gloves bring to the colour of the gloves in the workplace, for example to visually distinguish a non-standard process step, an allergen area or a cleaning validation from the other colours in the Pearl range. These powder-free, latex-free gloves, made from fully dipped nitrile, come in a vibrant red, with textured fingertips for a secure grip and a rolled cuff that makes them easier to slip on. They are sold in a carton of 1,000, divided into 10 boxes of 100 each, in five sizes from XS to XL. Latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free As gloves made entirely from nitrile, the Red Pearl gloves are completely latex-free and, according to the manufacturer, are also thiuram-free and protein-free. This makes them a suitable choice for staff who need to take into account allergies to natural latex or sensitisation to vulcanisation accelerators (thiurams). According to the data sheet, the palm has a thickness of 0.08 ± 0.03 mm, measured as a single layer in the centre of the palm; the data sheet does not provide separate figures for the fingertips and cuff. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing. Red as a signal colour: colour coding for exceptions and special processes In many colour-coding systems used in the food and laboratory sectors, red is the colour that attracts attention most quickly, for example, for production lines handling allergens, for cleaning stages with particularly high hygiene requirements, or for areas where an error would be particularly costly. Because red stands out clearly from the other Pearl colours, Red Pearl is well suited in a multi-colour colour-coding system as a ‘special colour’ that deliberately catches the eye and reminds staff at a glance that different rules apply in this area compared with the standard colour-coding used in other stations. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type C Red Pearl is classified as a chemical-protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C, and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. Tested according to EN 455, PPE Category III Red Pearl complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for medical single-use gloves and is manufactured under a quality management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021. The type examination was carried out according to Module B and Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 by the notified body CCQS (No. 2834); this combination of modules is intended exclusively for the highest PPE Category III. An AQL value of 1.5 applies in the 1,000 ml water-tightness test; furthermore, the glove is food-safe according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer according to the manufacturer. Choosing the right size The manufacturer also assigns a numerical glove size to each Red Pearl standard size, ranging from 5 to 6 for XS to 9 to 10 for XL. The width measurements for each size correspond exactly to those of Black Pearl, indicating that both colours are manufactured using the same basic shape. SizeManufacturer’s item no.Glove sizeWidthLength XSGP00615-675 mm (± 5 mm)≥ 240 mm SGP00626-785 mm (± 5 mm)≥ 240 mm MGP00637-895 mm (± 5 mm)≥ 240 mm LGP00648-9105 mm (± 5 mm)≥ 240 mm XLGP00659-10120 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 240 mm Red in the twelve-colour Pearl range Red Pearl is one of twelve colours in the Unigloves Pearl range available from us. As a signal colour, red complements the other warm shades in the range, the lighter Pink Pearl and the vibrant Magenta Pearl, which are more suited to the standard colour code than to exceptional cases. Anyone looking for a dark contrasting colour for cleanliness checks will find it in Black Pearl, which has the same dimensions as Red Pearl. All colours share the same basic construction of fully dipped nitrile with textured fingertips and a rolled cuff. Use, storage and disposal Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. Typical applications The signal effect of red makes Red Pearl useful wherever an area or process step needs to be deliberately highlighted: Food processing involving allergen segregation or special cleaning steps (food contact suitability according to the manufacturer) Laboratories with a colour-coding system for critical or error-prone work steps Facilities using multiple Unigloves Pearl colours, where red is deliberately used as an ‘exception’ colour alongside the regular station colours Work involving 40 % sodium hydroxide solution and comparable chemicals within the scope of the tested EN 374 Category III This means that, in a facility using multiple colours, it is immediately apparent at a glance who is currently working with red and is therefore deliberately deviating from the standard colour code, for example, during a special cleaning procedure or when handling an allergen. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the specific task The carton containing 1,000 gloves is divided into 10 boxes of 100 each, so that individual boxes can be made available independently of one another at different workstations. If red is reserved exclusively for special tasks rather than for day-to-day operations, for example, with an assumed consumption of just 5 gloves per day on selected special days, one box of 100 covers around 20 uses, whilst a whole carton covers 200 uses. If, on the other hand, red is used continuously as the station colour at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one box will last for around two working weeks, and a full carton for around 20 working weeks. Sales are exclusively by the whole carton; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton Why is red particularly suitable for identifying exceptions? In many colour-coding systems, red is the most striking colour and is therefore often reserved for special processes, allergen areas or particularly critical work steps, whilst more neutral colours indicate regular operations. Is Red Pearl latex-free and suitable for people with allergies?Yes. Is it true that Red Pearl has the same dimensions as Black Pearl?Yes, according to the respective data sheets, the width measurements per size are identical for both colours, indicating the same basic shape. The palm thickness, however, differs slightly (Red 0.08 mm, Black min. 0.05 mm). How do I find the right size?Either by the numerical glove size (XS 5-6 to XL 9-10) or by the width in millimetres; see the size chart above. Can I order quantities smaller than a 1,000-piece carton? No, the sales unit is the carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each. Unigloves Cobalt Pearl Nitrile Gloves, Cobalt, Powder-free, Size L, GP1014
Anyone who has to use a tablet, smartphone or barcode scanner from time to time whilst working in a laboratory or at reception will be familiar with the problem: taking off your gloves, using the device, putting them back on, several times an hour. According to the manufacturer, Unigloves Cobalt Pearl nitrile gloves are touchscreen-compatible, meaning that screens can be operated whilst wearing the gloves. These powder-free, latex-free gloves, made from fully dipped nitrile, come in a rich cobalt blue, with textured fingertips for a secure grip and a rolled cuff that makes them easier to slip on. They are sold in a carton of 1,000 pieces, divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, in five sizes from XS to XL. Latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free As gloves made entirely from nitrile, the Cobalt Pearl are completely latex-free and, according to the manufacturer, are also thiuram-free and protein-free. This makes them a suitable choice for staff who need to take into account allergies to natural latex or sensitisation to vulcanisation accelerators (thiurams). According to the data sheet, the palm has a thickness of 0.09 ± 0.03 mm, measured as a single layer in the centre of the palm. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N, both before and after artificial ageing. Touchscreen-compatible: operate devices without changing gloves According to the manufacturer, Cobalt Pearl allows you to operate a mobile phone or tablet screen without taking off your gloves. This is particularly useful wherever digital documentation, scanning or communication is required whilst working, such as when recording samples in a laboratory, scanning batches in food processing, or documenting procedures at a treatment station. This saves glove changes and reduces the risk of contaminated gloves being reused for screen work without realising it, as the devices can be operated directly through the work gloves. Chemical protection according to EN 374, Category III, Type C Cobalt Pearl is classified as a chemical-protective glove according to EN ISO 374-1, Category III, Type C, and also provides protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria according to EN ISO 374-5. A permeation level of 6 was determined for 40 % caustic soda according to EN 374-4, with a degradation rate of minus 5.3 %. For other chemicals, the manufacturer’s product-specific chemical resistance table applies. Tested according to EN 455, PPE Category III Cobalt Pearl complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for medical single-use gloves and is manufactured under a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021. Choosing the right size The manufacturer also assigns a numerical glove size to each Cobalt Pearl standard size, ranging from 5 to 6 for XS to 9 to 10 for XL. SizeManufacturer’s item no.Glove sizeWidthLength XSGP10115-670 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 240 mm SGP10126-780 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 240 mm MGP10137-895 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 240 mm LGP10148-9110 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 240 mm XLGP10159-10120 mm (± 10 mm)≥ 240 mm Cobalt in the twelve-colour Pearl range Cobalt Pearl is one of twelve colours in the Unigloves Pearl range available from us and should not be confused with the lighter Blue Pearl, which is a separate colour with its own data sheet. Those looking for a dark contrasting colour for cleanliness checks will find it in Black Pearl, whilst those preferring a neutral standard colour for general stations will find it in Green Pearl. All colours share the same basic construction of fully dipped nitrile with textured fingertips, a rolled cuff and certification according to EN ISO 374-1 Category III Type C. The manufacturer states touchscreen compatibility for Cobalt Pearl. Use, storage and disposal We can provide storage conditions and shelf life on request. Regarding handling, the manufacturer states that this is a non-sterile, single-use glove that can be worn on either hand. As a practical guideline based on everyday laboratory practice, rather than manufacturer’s specifications: nitrile gloves such as Cobalt Pearl are usually changed for each task or process step, but at the latest at the first visible sign of damage, soiling or contact with chemicals outside the tested application. After use, they are generally disposed of as commercial waste, whilst contaminated gloves are disposed of separately in accordance with internal hazardous substances regulations. Typical applications The touchscreen compatibility makes Cobalt Pearl particularly attractive where digital devices form part of the workflow: Laboratories with digital sample recording or tablet-based documentation at the workplace Food processing with barcode or batch scanners (food contact suitability according to the manufacturer) Medical and dental practices with digital patient documentation at the treatment station Facilities using multiple Unigloves Pearl colours, where Cobalt is specifically used for colour-coding individual stations or process steps Wherever a glove change would otherwise be necessary for every brief interaction with a screen, Cobalt Pearl’s touchscreen compatibility reduces the effort involved without compromising on protective performance or certification. Assessing requirements correctly: from the carton to the digital workplace The carton of 1,000 pieces is divided into 10 boxes of 100 pieces each, so that individual boxes can be made available independently of one another at different workstations. For a workstation with digital documentation and an assumed consumption of 15 gloves per day (changed when switching tasks or samples), one box of 100 covers approximately 6 to 7 working days; a whole carton covers around 13 working weeks. Where there are several digitally equipped workstations, this calculation can be multiplied by the number of workstations to estimate the total requirement for a specific period. Sales are exclusively by the full carton; a single box of 100 cannot be selected separately during the ordering process. Frequently asked questions about the 1,000-piece carton Does the touchscreen really work with every device? The manufacturer generally describes the touchscreen functionality as being suitable for mobile phone and tablet displays. We can provide details on compatibility with individual device models or specific film displays on request. Is Cobalt Pearl latex-free and suitable for people with allergies?Yes. The glove is made entirely of nitrile and, according to the manufacturer, is latex-free, thiuram-free and protein-free. How resistant is the glove to chemicals? The data sheet lists a test chemical with numerical values: 40 % caustic soda with a permeation level of 6 and a degradation rate of minus 5.3 %. We can provide the breakthrough time in minutes on request. Is Cobalt Pearl the same as Blue Pearl? No, they are two distinct colours, each with its own data sheet and manufacturer’s item number; Cobalt is a darker, richer blue than the classic Blue Pearl. How do I find the right size?Either by the numerical glove size (XS 5-6 to XL 9-10) or by the width in millimetres; see the size chart above. Unigloves Uniprotect Blue Nitrile Gloves, blue, powder-free, 100 pieces, size M, 5503
Sodium hydroxide, hydrogen peroxide and formaldehyde are components of many cleaning and disinfecting agents. The data sheet of the Unigloves Uniprotect Blue contains measured values for all three substances. The glove is designed as a Type B chemical protection glove according to EN ISO 374-1 and is personal protective equipment of Category III. It is made of nitrile, is blue, powder-free and non-sterile. The fingertips are roughened and the cuff is rolled. The glove is available in sizes S to XL, and one pack contains 100 pieces. Chemical protection according to EN ISO 374-1 Type B Type B requires that at least three test chemicals of the standard are passed with permeation level 2 or better. The Uniprotect Blue was tested with three substances. Sodium hydroxide 40 % (code letter K) achieves level 6, which corresponds to a breakthrough time of more than 480 minutes. Hydrogen peroxide 30 % (P) achieves level 2 (more than 30 minutes), formaldehyde 37 % (T) level 5 (more than 240 minutes). According to EN ISO 374-5, the glove is also tested against viruses, fungi and bacteria. Conformity is based on an EU type examination (Module B) by SATRA Technology Europe, notified body 2777, and on Module C2 of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425. The values apply to the stated substances in the tested concentrations. For other chemicals and for mixtures, a separate assessment of the workplace is necessary. Two AQL values for two tests The manufacturer states the AQL for each test. For the watertightness test with 1,000 ml (inspection level G-1), AQL 2.5 applies. For the visual inspection for major defects (inspection level G-1), AQL 1.5 applies, for the visual inspection for minor defects AQL 4.0. Dimensions are checked at inspection level S-2 with AQL 4.0. Anyone who requires AQL 1.5 for leak-tightness in a specification will therefore find the value 2.5 for this glove. Thickness, surface and force at break The thickness is stated as a minimum value for a single layer. At the cuff (25 mm from the rolled edge) it is at least 0.04 mm, in the centre of the palm at least 0.06 mm and at the fingertip (15 mm from the tip of the middle finger) at least 0.07 mm. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N before and after ageing. The gloves can be worn on either hand and are at least 240 mm long. Finding the right size There are four sizes. For each size, the manufacturer states the width of the hand and a numerical glove size. Sizes XS and XXL are not part of this range.
