Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 514 BH Ultrasonic Bath with Heater, 18.7 L, 200 mm Deep, 3216

The Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 514 BH has a tank 200 mm deep. Its internal dimensions are 325 x 300 x 200 mm and it has a capacity of 18.7 l, of which 12.5 l is usable volume. It is fitted with a heating element, push-button controls and a drain.

200 millimetres deep instead of 150

The base area is the same as that of the DT 514 H, but the tank is 50 mm deeper. This increases the total capacity from 13.5 to 18.7 l and the usable capacity from 9.0 to 12.5 l. With external dimensions of 355 x 325 x 385 mm, the unit is correspondingly taller and weighs 9.7 kg. The tank (1.0 mm) and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel.

Heating and safety features

The 600-watt heating element is adjustable from 20 to 80 °C; the setpoint and actual temperature are shown on the display. For protection, the heater is fitted with a boil-dry protection and a dry-run protection. The DT 514 operates without a heater but with the 150 mm deep tank.

Ultrasound and timer

Four transducer systems generate a peak power of 860 watts at 35 kHz (215 watts rated power). SweepTec automatically prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field; there is also a pulse function and DEGAS rapid degassing. The time can be set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes (± 5 per cent) or to continuous operation. The unit switches off after twelve hours if no button is pressed.

Operation and connection

The water drains via the G 1/2 ball valve on the left-hand side; a hose nozzle and hose for installation are included. The mains cable is 2 m long and permanently attached. The current consumption is 3.6 A at 230 V; the protection rating is IP 33; the permissible ambient temperature ranges from 5 to 40 °C.

Baskets and holders

For this basin, Bandelin supplies the K 14 B hanging basket (275 x 245 x 50 mm, up to 10 kg) and the K 14 AZ basket (285 x 260 x 155 mm, mesh size 12.5 x 12.5 mm), which is designed to hold one full-face mask, two full-face masks or four half-masks. Also included are the GH 14 equipment holder, the D 514 lid, the DE 514 perforated lid for four insert cups and the KW 14 B hanging tray (275 x 210 x 195 mm).
