The Memmert IF110 incubator has an internal volume of 108 litres and is fitted with two shelves as standard, whilst being designed to accommodate up to five shelves for parallel sample runs. It covers a temperature range of +20 to +80 °C using forced air circulation and can accommodate a total load of up to 175 kg.
Interior and forced air circulation
The interior of the IF110 is reinforced with deep-drawn ribbing and features a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system; the housing itself has a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. Air circulation is provided by a low-noise turbine that can be adjusted in 10 % increments.
Controls and programme functions
The IF110 is operated via the SingleDISPLAY ControlCOCKPIT; temperature is measured by a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor using a 4-wire measurement system, with a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C. In addition to temperature, recirculation fan speed and exhaust air damper position, the programme duration, time zones and summer and winter time can also be set. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and the programme sequence remains stored in the event of a power cut.
Safety and door locking
A mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature; in addition, electronic temperature monitoring can be set. The fully insulated stainless steel door with an inner glass door locks via a two-point locking mechanism.
Finding the right chamber size
With two shelves fitted as standard, up to five possible shelves and a maximum total load capacity of 175 kg, the IF110 is designed for parallel sample runs. If a smaller volume is sufficient, the IF75, with a capacity of 74 litres, is the more compact alternative; for larger batches, the IF160 offers more space with a capacity of 161 litres and up to eight shelves.
