Memmert Incubator IF110plus, 108 l, +20 to +80 °C, TwinDISPLAY

The Memmert IF110plus incubator has 108 litres of internal volume with external dimensions of 745 x 864 x 584 mm. Two stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, and up to five shelves are possible. Control is via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two Pt100 sensors that monitor each other, and forced air circulation is provided by an electronically controllable air turbine.

Interior, load and connection

The interior measures 560 x 480 x 400 mm (W x H x D) and is stiffened by deep-drawn ribbing, and the heating is protected and integrated on all four sides. A total load of 175 kg is permitted with a maximum of 20 kg per shelf, and the net weight of the oven is around 76 kg. The IF110plus is connected with 230 V at approx. 1,400 W or with 115 V at approx. 900 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. An electronically adjustable exhaust air flap admixes preheated fresh air, and the exhaust air outlet with throttle valve can likewise be controlled electronically.

TwinDISPLAY, HeatBALANCE and programming

Two DIN class A Pt100 sensors monitor each other in 4-wire measurement and automatically take over the function of the other in the event of a fault. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C, the setting temperature range extends from +20 to +80 °C, and the working temperature range begins at least 10 °C above room temperature. HeatBALANCE allows fine adjustment of the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group from -50 to +50 per cent, and SetpointWAIT starts the process time only after the setpoint temperature has been reached. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated, programmes are programmed, managed and transferred via the Ethernet interface or USB port with the AtmoCONTROL software, and the digital countdown timer can be set from 1 minute to 99 days. A permanently installed sterilisation programme sterilises the interior at 160 °C over 4 hours, not the loaded items.

Safety according to DIN 12880

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature, and an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can also be selected on the display. The additional AutoSAFETY monitoring automatically follows the setpoint at a freely selectable distance and triggers a visual and audible alarm when the temperature is exceeded or fallen short of, and it switches off the heating when exceeded. A self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding. A permissible ambient temperature of +5 °C to +40 °C applies at a maximum of 80 per cent relative humidity, non-condensing, as well as an installation altitude of up to 2,000 m above sea level. The units must be transported in an upright position.

Guide to choosing the right size

Anyone who has to manage with less floor space but values one more shelf will find an alternative in the smaller IF75plus (74 l, up to 6 shelves). If more capacity is regularly needed, the IF160plus with 161 litres and up to eight shelves offers more space, see the size table below.
