The Memmert IF75 incubator has an internal volume of 74 litres and comes fitted with two shelves as standard, whilst accommodating up to six shelves for larger sample quantities. The temperature range, with forced air circulation, is from +20 to +80 °C, and the maximum permissible load is 120 kg.
Airflow and housing
The IF75 features an easy-to-clean, deep-drawn ribbed interior with all-round heating on all four sides; the housing has a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. An electronically controlled fan circulates the air quietly, whilst an exhaust air flap mixes in preheated fresh air.
Control and timing functions
The SingleDISPLAY ControlCOCKPIT measures via a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor in a 4-wire configuration; the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached; the digital countdown timer covers target times ranging from 1 minute to 99 days. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated.
Temperature limitation and door safety
A mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. The fully insulated stainless steel door with an internal glass door closes via a two-point locking mechanism.
Smaller or larger?
With two shelves fitted as standard and space for up to six, the IF75 is designed for medium to large sample quantities; the maximum load is 120 kg for the unit and 20 kg per shelf. If more volume is required, the IF110 offers 108 litres and a total load capacity of up to 175 kg; however, it accommodates a maximum of five shelves, one fewer than the IF75. For smaller sample quantities, the IF55 with 53 litres is often sufficient.
