Memmert IF30 Incubator, 32 L, with forced air circulation, +20 to +80 °C

With an internal volume of 32 litres, the Memmert IF30 incubator has the smallest internal volume in the IF series and, with external dimensions of 585 x 704 x 434 mm, takes up a comparatively small amount of floor space. With forced air circulation and a temperature range of +20 to +80 °C, it is suitable for incubating and temperature-controlling individual samples or small batches.

Construction and air flow

An electronically controlled air turbine circulates the air inside the cabin and can be adjusted in 10 per cent increments, whilst operating quietly. An electronically adjustable exhaust air damper mixes in preheated fresh air; the exhaust air outlet itself also features an electronically adjustable throttle valve. The interior of the IF30 is reinforced with deep-drawn ribbing and features a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system; the housing has a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel.

Control via the ControlCOCKPIT

The IF30 is controlled via a SingleDISPLAY with a high-resolution TFT colour graphics display; the temperature is measured by a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor using a 4-wire measurement. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The SetpointWAIT function ensures that the process time only starts once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached; a digital countdown timer covers target times ranging from 1 minute to 99 days. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated, whilst a self-diagnostic system assists with troubleshooting. The programme sequence remains stored in the event of a power failure, and the data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface.

Safety in accordance with DIN 12880

A mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature; in addition, the electronic temperature monitoring can be adjusted. The fully insulated stainless steel door with an internal glass door is secured by a two-point locking mechanism acting as a compression door seal.

Guide to choosing the right size

The scope of delivery includes a stainless steel grating and the option of up to three inserts; the IF30 is designed for small sample quantities; the maximum total load is 60 kg, with 20 kg permitted per insert. Those who regularly wish to incubate more samples at the same time will find the neighbouring IF55 With an internal capacity of 53 litres and up to four additional shelves, it offers greater capacity.
