Memmert IN160plus incubator, 161 l, +20 to +80 °C, TwinDISPLAY

Measuring 560 x 400 mm, the IN160plus has the same footprint as the smaller IN110plus, but is significantly taller, with an internal height of 720 mm. This results in an internal volume of 161 litres with a maximum of eight shelves and a net weight of around 96 kilograms. Temperature control is managed via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two Pt100 sensors operating in the range from +20 to +80 °C.

Same footprint as the IN110plus

An electronically adjustable exhaust air flap mixes in preheated fresh air, whilst the exhaust air outlet with a throttle valve is electronically controllable. The interior features deep-drawn ribbing with 4-sided all-round heating; the housing has a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. For applications with forced air circulation, Memmert offers the same size model in the IF-plus series.

Control with HeatBALANCE

If one of the two DIN Class A Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire measurement fails, the second takes over its function; both supply data to the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, which features two TFT colour graphic displays. The distribution of heating power between the upper and lower heating groups can be adjusted via HeatBALANCE from -50 to +50 %; programmes are managed via Ethernet or USB using AtmoCONTROL.

Multi-stage temperature monitoring

AutoSAFETY additionally monitors the setpoint with upper and lower temperature limits at freely selectable intervals and issues visual and audible warnings. As a mechanical fallback measure, a temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature; an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can also be selected. The pre-programmed sterilisation programme sterilises the interior at 160 °C in 4 hours, but not the contents.

Selection guide for the right size

If the IN110plus, with its 108-litre capacity and five shelves, is no longer sufficient, the IN160plus offers eight shelves and an internal volume of 161 litres whilst occupying the same floor space. If even more capacity is required, the table below lists the IN260plus with a capacity of 256 litres.

The IN160plus can be fitted ex-works with, amongst other things, a 115 V power supply at no extra charge, a temperature limiting (factory limit on the maximum adjustable temperature) function and a supply air filter. Our range of accessories includes a USB user ID stick, additional grid shelves and perforated trays, a built-in frame and pipe extensions.
