Memmert Peltier Cooled Incubator IPP1400eco, 1,360 l, 0 to +70 °C, SingleDISPLAY

The Memmert Peltier Cooled Incubator IPP1400eco has a double-leaf door and 1,360 litres of interior volume, with four shelves as standard and a maximum of 28 possible. Heating and cooling in the setting temperature range of 0 to +70 °C is again provided by a Peltier element integrated in the rear wall, without a compressor and without refrigerant. The unit is operated via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY with TFT colour graphic display.

Double-leaf door and four grid shelves

The stainless steel doors with glass cut-out are of double-leaf design, with fully heated inner glass panes fitted into full-view glass doors with 2-point locking (compression lock). Four electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are fitted as standard, and the interior carries a total of 250 kilograms at a maximum of 30 kilograms per shelf. At 345 kilograms net weight, the unit is considerably heavier than the IPP1060eco at 248 kilograms and stands on castors that can be moved and locked in place.

ControlCOCKPIT and temperature management

A Pt100 sensor of DIN class A measures in 4-wire technology with 0.1 °C setting accuracy, and SetpointWAIT starts the process time only when the set temperature has been reached. An electronic temperature monitor and the mechanical temperature limiter TB provide additional protection, a self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding, and the data logger records even in the event of a power failure and can be read out via Ethernet. A lockable door with two locks is available as option B62. In addition to CE, the unit also carries the EAC marking.

When the double-leaf IPP1400eco is worthwhile

If the 1,060 litres of the IPP1060eco are sufficient, you save the higher weight and larger space requirement of the IPP1400eco (external dimensions 1,435 × 1,913 × 905 mm compared with 1,224 × 1,720 × 1,005 mm). If sample quantity and sample throughput continue to grow, however, the IPP2200eco with a triple-leaf door and again considerably more volume follows in the series.

Typical applications

With 1,360 litres and four standard shelves, the IPP1400eco is suitable for the core applications of the series on a larger scale:

• Microbiological examinations and germ count determination with a high sample volume
• Cultivation of samples above and below room temperature
• Forced ageing tests for beer stability on a larger scale
• Shelf-life tests of dairy products with several batches in parallel
