Memmert Peltier Cooled Incubator IPP260ecoplus, 256 l, 0 to +70 °C, TwinDISPLAY

With 256 litres of interior volume, the Memmert Peltier Cooled Incubator IPP260ecoplus sits between the IPP110ecoplus with 108 litres and the IPP410ecoplus with 384 litres. It keeps samples and cultures between 0 and plus 70 degrees Celsius, optionally also several degrees below room temperature, and can be placed on an optional levelling base frame with a height of 500 mm. The TwinDISPLAY equipment with dual Pt100 sensors protects against the failure of a single sensor without interrupting the running experiment.

Control and safety

Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A quality work in 4-wire mode and monitor each other. If one fails, the second takes over without interruption. The AutoSAFETY function automatically follows the set point within a freely selectable tolerance band and switches off the heating when it is exceeded and the cooling when it is undershot. In addition, a temperature monitor of class TWW 3.3 or a temperature limiter of class TWB 2 can be activated on the display. The HeatBALANCE function allows the heating power to be distributed between the upper and lower heating group in a range from minus 50 to plus 50 per cent.

Door and interior

The fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking has an inner glass door through which the interior can be viewed while the outer door is open. Up to 9 shelves are available in the interior, and 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are fitted as standard. The total load is 200 kilograms and 20 kilograms per shelf. The energy-saving Peltier heating and cooling system is integrated in the rear wall and works on the heat pump principle, without refrigerant and without a compressor.

Choosing the right size

If less volume is needed, the IPP110ecoplus with 108 litres is the smaller alternative in the same series, likewise with TwinDISPLAY. If more volume is needed, the IPP410ecoplus with 384 litres and up to 14 shelves is closer, which can be moved on castors and locked in place.

Typical applications

The IPP260ecoplus is designed for cultivation below room temperature, and its setting range of 0 to +70 °C also extends well above room temperature:

• Cultivation of samples and cultures down to at least 20 °C below room temperature
• Incubation across the entire setting range of 0 to +70 °C with a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C
• Time-controlled temperature programs with SetpointWAIT and timer up to 99 days, programmed via AtmoCONTROL
• Experiments with lighting via the optional LED light modules, then in the working temperature range of +10 to +40 °C

The IPP-ecoplus series covers seven chamber sizes, all with TwinDISPLAY and the same setting temperature range of 0 to +70 °C.

The same chamber size is also available in the SingleDISPLAY line as the IPP260eco, without TwinDISPLAY redundancy and without the TwinDISPLAY-exclusive options.
