IKA IKAFLON 15 round Magnetic Stirring Bar, 15 x 6 mm, 5 pcs., 0004488700

Product information "IKA IKAFLON 15 round Magnetic Stirring Bar, 15 x 6 mm, 5 pcs., 0004488700"

IKA IKAFLON round magnetic stirring bars are PTFE-coated stirring cores with a round cross-section for use on IKA magnetic stirrers. The PTFE coating is chemically resistant to most common laboratory solvents and acids and cleans without residue, which makes the bars practical when switching between different batches.

The series is available in five lengths from 15 to 50 mm, each in a pack of 5, so a suitably sized stirring core can be chosen for different vessel sizes and fill volumes, avoiding a bar that is too small spinning erratically in a large vessel or one that is too large getting stuck at the vessel base.

Compatibility

The IKAFLON 15 round is official accessory for the IKA RCT basic anodised magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0020133785), RET basic magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0025008265), RET basic anodised magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0020133787) and RH lite magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0020007108). The 25, 30, 40 and 50 mm lengths suit the RCT basic anodised, RET basic and RET basic anodised. For the RH lite we recommend the 15 mm length.

Part of the IKA Specials Q4/2026, valid until 31 December 2026. The crossed-out price is IKA's recommended list price. Our promotional price is net.The IKA RCT basic anodised magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0020133785) extends the RCT range with an anodised aluminium base plate. With 800 watts of heating power, a maximum stirring capacity of up to 20 litres of water and a sealed die-cast aluminium housing rated IP 54, the unit suits laboratory applications that need fast, direct heat transfer without a thick barrier layer, for example demanding chemical reactions, syntheses and thermal processes in industrial and academic laboratories. Maximum thermal conductivity from the anodised base The key feature of this model is the circular base plate, 135 mm in diameter, made from anodised aluminium. Compared with conventional ceramic coatings, the anodised metal surface gives high, direct thermal conductivity, which shortens heating times in daily lab work because energy reaches the vessel with little loss. The anodised layer protects the aluminium underneath from abrasion, scratches and a wide range of solvents, which keeps performance consistent over years of routine use. Precise kinetics and temperature control The control electronics of the RCT basic anodised allow stepless speed adjustment from 50 to 1,500 revolutions per minute, set via a rotary push button control with a setting accuracy of 10 rpm. The LED display shows setpoint and actual values for speed and temperature at all times. For temperature-sensitive media, the unit has a socket for external PT1000 series sensors as well as the ETS-D5 and ETS-D7 contact thermometers. With PT1000 or ETS-D5, medium temperature can be controlled to an accuracy of ±0.5 K, and this improves to ±0.2 K with the ETS-D7 or the wireless PT.Wireless sensor. Using ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless also gives an optional pH reading of the medium. Robust housing and safety concept The electronics sit inside a sealed die-cast aluminium housing rated IP 54, which protects the motor and control boards from splashing water and aggressive vapours during continuous operation. An independently adjustable safety circuit (50 to 360 degrees Celsius) monitors the maximum heating plate temperature and switches off the heater if an unexpected overtemperature occurs. A visual residual heat indicator also warns staff of the burn risk until the surface has cooled down. For the first time, the RCT basic anodised has an integrated menu with a timer function: the freely programmable timer starts either immediately or once the target temperature is reached and signals the end of the run with an audible tone, and heating and stirring can be switched off independently of each other. At 160 x 100 x 200 mm (W x H x D) and a net weight of 2.3 kg, the unit stays compact enough to run several units side by side in the fume hood. Typical applications The anodised base plate and the connection options for external temperature sensors make the RCT basic anodised a versatile stirrer for laboratory applications in research and industrial quality control: Chemical syntheses and reactions that need fast, direct heat transfer through the anodised aluminium plate Homogenising and heating larger volumes of up to 20 litres of water Precise temperature control in the medium with PT1000, ETS-D5, ETS-D7 or the wireless PT.Wireless sensor Routine work in quality control and research where short heating times of up to 9 K/min matter Continuous laboratory use thanks to IP 54 protection against splashing water and vapours Technical details Number of stirring positions1 Max. stirring volume (water)20 litres Maximum load25 kg MotorBrushless DC motor (EC), 9 W output Speed range50 to 1500 rpm Speed controlStepless via rotary push button Speed setting accuracy10 rpm Stirring bar length20 to 80 mm Heating power800 W Heating plate temperature rangeRoom temperature to 310 °C Temperature setting resolution1 K (heating plate), 0.1 K (actual value display) Adjustable safety circuit50 to 360 °C Heating rate (1 l water, H1500)9 K/min Control accuracy with PT1000±0.5 K Control accuracy with ETS-D5±0.5 K Control accuracy with ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless±0.2 K Control accuracy at heating plate centre without vessel (100 °C)±5 K Self-heating of the base plate (RT 22 °C, 1 h stirring)max. +12 K Base plate materialAnodised aluminium Base plate diameterØ 135 mm Overall dimensions (W x H x D)160 x 100 x 200 mm Net weight2.3 kg Protection class per DIN EN 60529IP 54 DisplayLED display for setpoint and actual values Connection for external sensorPT1000 series, ETS-D5, ETS-D7, PT.Wireless Timer1 second to 5,999 minutes Digital interfacesRS232 and USB-C WPAN interfaceoptional via USB WD dongle pH measurementoptional with ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless Power consumption820 W, standby 0.45 W Power supply220 to 230 V, 50/60 Hz Contents 1 x IKA RCT basic anodised magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN: 0020133785) 1 x mains lead 1 x Detailed operating instructions / safety guide Customised requirements & accessories IKA provides a manufacturer's warranty for the RCT basic anodised of 2 years, extended to 10 years if the device is registered at ika.com/register within 90 days of purchase. Part of the IKA Specials Q4/2026, valid until 31 December 2026. The crossed-out price is IKA's recommended list price. Our promotional price is net.The new IKA RET basic anodised magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0020133787) represents a technological milestone, setting a completely new industry standard for comprehensive digitalisation, process reliability and process efficiency in the modern laboratory. As currently the most compact device in its performance class on the global market, this high-end mechatronic stirring drive delivers an outstanding heating output of 800 watts at a maximum operating temperature of 340 °C. The system has been specially developed for forward-looking B2B laboratory set-ups, where uncompromising mechanical resilience and maximum functional density must be combined with intuitive, error-free operation during continuous daily use. Compact assembly with maximum power density and anodised protection The materials science foundation of the 135 mm footprint is based on a highly conductive aluminium substrate featuring an energetically insulated design. This enables extreme heating rates of up to 9 K/min with absolutely homogeneous temperature distribution. For long-term protection against mechanical abrasion, deep scratches and highly aggressive chemical reagents, the surface is sealed with a specialised anodised coating. Despite this enormous power density, the instrument boasts an ultra-compact housing design measuring just 160 x 200 x 100 mm. The stirrer thus saves valuable space in the fume cupboard, can be easily positioned on any standard laboratory lifting platform and is ideally suited to complex, parallel experimental set-ups in the most confined spaces. Forward-looking laboratory digitalisation via integrated network interfaces To ensure seamless, barrier-free integration into networked Industry 4.0 laboratory infrastructures and automated documentation projects, the RET basic is equipped as standard with fully-fledged Wi-Fi and LAN interfaces. This technological system architecture allows the magnetic stirrer to be connected to a central network, monitored in real time, controlled remotely or integrated directly into higher-level software solutions. Direct device-to-device communication is also possible via the digital communication matrix, which is based on standardised, ASCII-based Namur commands. For example, the RET basic can be coupled with an IKA Eurostar overhead stirrer: if the stirring speed of the viscous medium falls below a critical threshold, the RET basic deactivates the heating system fully automatically – the fundamental prerequisite for reliable, unattended 24/7 continuous operation. Maximum electrical safety in accordance with EN IEC 61010-2-010 and 18 safety features With a total of 18 integrated safety features, the RET basic meets and exceeds the strict laboratory equipment standard EN IEC 61010-2-010 for heated laboratory equipment in all critical parameters. System safety is certified by an independent certificate from TÜV Süd in accordance with the internationally recognised NRTL standard (equivalent to UL and CSA). In addition to a self-contained, mechanically adjustable safety circuit via two separate plate sensors, the unit features innovative Delta-T medium monitoring, probe breakage and misalignment detection, as well as automatic heating shut-off in the event of a sudden drop in temperature (e.g. due to glass breakage). In the event of a safety shutdown, the integrated ‘Always Stir’ function is activated: heating is stopped whilst stirring remains active, thereby reliably preventing dangerous boiling delays or transient hotspots in the medium. IKA Magnetrührer RCT basic mit Heizung, 0025008259, Generation 2026, Produktansicht
IKA RCT basic magnetic stirrer with heating, aluminium base plate, 0025008259
Herstellernummer: 0025008259

Part of the IKA Specials Q4/2026, valid until 31 December 2026. The crossed-out price is IKA's recommended list price. Our promotional price is net.The IKA RCT basic magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0025008259) is one of the most widely used laboratory instruments in the world and has stood for reliable stirring and heating for decades. The current generation covers the full range of typical laboratory tasks, from preparing small reagent quantities to stirring larger volumes, with a stirring capacity of up to 20 litres of water, a heating power of 800 watts and a speed range of 50 to 1,500 revolutions per minute. The 135 mm aluminium base plate gives even heat distribution, and the IP 54 protection class keeps the unit safe from splashing water during continuous use. Powerful drive and precise speed control The magnetic drive of the RCT basic covers a stepless speed range from 50 to 1,500 revolutions per minute, set via a rotary push button control with a setting accuracy of 10 rpm. Stirring bars from 20 to 80 mm in length can be used, so the unit suits small beakers as well as larger vessels with a load of up to 25 kg. The drive is a brushless DC motor with 9 watts of output power and keeps a constant speed even at higher viscosities, without a noticeable change in the stirring pattern as the load increases. With the optional IKA HUB, automatic reverse rotation and intermittent operation can also be activated, for example to loosen deposits on the stirring bar or to automate recurring stirring cycles. Aluminium base plate and glass control panel The base plate of the RCT basic is made from an aluminium alloy with a diameter of 135 mm and gives fast, even heat transfer during heating. The control panel with its glass surface is easy to clean even with frequent contact with chemicals. The housing is protected to IP 54 against splashing water and dust, a clear step up from the IP 42 rating of the previous generation, and this makes it suitable for wet areas and washing stations in the lab as well. Heating power and safety concept for continuous operation With a heating power of 800 watts, the RCT basic heats one litre of water by 9 kelvin per minute in heating stage H1500, noticeably faster than the 600 watts and 6.5 kelvin per minute of the previous generation, and reaches temperatures from room temperature up to 310 degrees Celsius, adjustable in steps of 1 kelvin. The safety temperature range can be set independently between 50 and 360 degrees Celsius with a tolerance of 5 degrees Celsius and switches off the heater immediately on an unexpected overtemperature. If the unit is switched off while the heating plate is still above 50 degrees Celsius, the display alternates between the warning "HOT" and the current plate temperature until the plate has cooled to a safe level. Combined with the supplied external PT1000 temperature sensor, control accuracy in the medium reaches ±0.5 kelvin; with an optional IKA ETS-D5 contact thermometer it stays at ±0.5 kelvin, and with the ETS-D7 or the wireless PT.Wireless sensor it improves to ±0.2 kelvin. The ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless sensor also allows an optional pH reading of the medium on the RCT basic. Digital display and interfaces for process documentation An LED display shows setpoint and actual values for speed and temperature in real time, so the process can be monitored at all times. Via the digital USB-C and RS232 interfaces, the RCT basic can be connected to a PC and documented, for example, with the labworldsoft laboratory software. For external temperature measurement, a socket is available for the PT1000 series as well as the ETS-D5 and ETS-D7 electronic contact thermometers, and an optional USB WD dongle also connects the wireless PT.Wireless sensor via WPAN. A built-in timer covers times from 1 second to 5,999 minutes, and a sensor-in-medium detection reports once the temperature probe is actually immersed in the medium. When the RCT basic is controlled externally via IKA HUB or labworldsoft, the device controls can be locked with the safeSTOP function, and the display then shows "safeSTOP". Power supply is 220 to 230 volts at 50 or 60 hertz, with power consumption of 820 watts in operation and 0.45 watts in standby. Compact format for parallel use At 160 x 100 x 200 mm (width x height x depth) and a net weight of 2.3 kg, the RCT basic takes up little space on the bench or in the fume hood. Its compact format makes it easier to run several units in parallel, for example when quality control or research work needs several batches stirred and heated at the same time. Because the stirrer and the heater are combined in one unit, there is no need to set up separate stirring and heating devices, which saves bench space and reduces cabling at the workstation. Typical applications As a base unit for stirring and heating liquid media, the RCT basic is used across a wide range of laboratory settings, from routine analysis to synthesis: Preparing and heating buffers, nutrient solutions and reagents in the routine lab Chemical syntheses with defined temperature control, for example reflux boiling or dissolving solids Homogenising larger volumes of solution thanks to a stirring capacity of up to 20 litres of water, for example stock solutions in quality control Sample preparation with external temperature monitoring via PT1000, ETS-D5, ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless, for example during digestion or extraction Use at wet workstations and washing areas thanks to IP 54 protection against splashing water Training and teaching in chemistry and pharmacy, where robust, easy-to-use instruments are needed Technical details Number of stirring positions1 Max. stirring volume per position (H2O)20 litres Maximum load25 kg Speed range50 to 1500 rpm Speed adjustmentStepless via rotary push button Speed setting accuracy10 rpm Max. stirring bar length20 to 80 mm Motor typeBrushless DC motor (EC), 9 W output Heating power800 W Heating temperature rangeRoom temperature to 310 °C Temperature setting resolution1 K (heating plate), 0.1 K (actual value display) Adjustable safety temperature range50 to 360 °C ± 5 °C Heating rate (1 l H2O, stage H1500)9 K/min Control accuracy with PT1000± 0.5 K Control accuracy with ETS-D5± 0.5 K Control accuracy with ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless± 0.2 K Control accuracy at heating plate centre without vessel (100 °C)± 5 K Self-heating of the base plate (RT 22 °C, 1 h stirring)max. + 12 K Base plate materialAluminium alloy Base plate dimensionsØ 135 mm Overall dimensions (W x H x D)160 x 100 x 200 mm Net weight2.3 kg Protection class per DIN EN 60529IP 54 DisplayLED display for setpoint and actual values Connection for external sensorPT1000 series, ETS-D5, ETS-D7, PT.Wireless Timer1 second to 5,999 minutes Digital interfacesRS232 and USB-C WPAN interfaceoptional via USB WD dongle pH measurementoptional with ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless Safety systemsAdjustable safety circuit, HOT display warning, sensor-in-medium detection, safeSTOP function Power consumption820 W, standby 0.45 W Power supply220 to 230 V, 50/60 Hz Scope of delivery 1 x IKA RCT basic magnetic stirrer base unit (MPN 0025008259) 1 x IKA PT 1000.60 temperature sensor 1 x mains lead 1 x screwdriver for the safety circuit 1 set of IKAFLON 30 round and IKAFLON 40 round magnetic stirring bars 1 x quick start guide 1 x warranty card Matching accessories The RCT basic has a socket for external PT1000 series temperature sensors as well as the ETS-D5 and ETS-D7 contact thermometers, so it can be upgraded in a targeted way: IKA ETS-D5 electronic contact thermometer with touchscreen (MPN 0025008371) for finer temperature control, up to ±0.5 kelvin accuracy in the medium Further original accessories such as the wireless PT.Wireless temperature sensor, the ETS-D7 or the USB WD dongle for WPAN connection are available through our procurement service. IKA RET basic magnetic stirrer with heating, aluminium base, 0025008265
IKA RET basic magnetic stirrer with heating, aluminium base, 0025008265
Herstellernummer: 0025008265

Part of the IKA Specials Q4/2026, valid until 31 December 2026. The crossed-out price is IKA's recommended list price. Our promotional price is net.The IKA RET basic magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0025008265) combines a heating power of 800 watts with a compact housing measuring 160 x 200 x 100 mm and integrated Wi-Fi and LAN interfaces. The aluminium base plate gives fast, direct heat transfer into the sample. For B2B laboratories with high safety and documentation requirements, the RET basic combines a fast heating rate, fine speed control and a comprehensive, standard-compliant safety concept for daily continuous use. Compact design with high power density and direct heat transfer The 135 mm base plate is made from an uncoated aluminium alloy, which gives particularly direct heat transfer with heating rates of up to 9 K/min and even temperature distribution, adjustable in four heating speed stages. Unlike the anodised RET basic anodised, this plate has no additional oxide-layer protection against scratches and chemicals, but the bare metal surface transfers heat without the small resistance a coating adds. Despite the high heating power of 800 watts, the housing stays ultra-compact at 160 x 200 x 100 mm. This saves space in the fume hood, fits on any standard laboratory lifting platform and suits parallel experimental setups in tight spaces. Networked laboratory processes via Wi-Fi and LAN For integration into networked laboratory infrastructure and automated documentation processes, the RET basic comes standard with Wi-Fi and LAN interfaces as well as the wired USB-C and RS232 interfaces. This connectivity allows the stirrer to be monitored centrally, controlled remotely or integrated into higher-level software systems, including via the IKA app. The communication interface, based on ASCII Namur commands, also allows direct device-to-device communication. The RET basic can, for example, be paired with an IKA overhead stirrer: if the stirring speed of the viscous medium falls below a critical threshold, the RET basic switches off the heating automatically, an important condition for reliable, unattended continuous operation. Comprehensive safety concept per EN IEC 61010-2-010 With 18 integrated safety features, the RET basic meets the EN IEC 61010-2-010 standard for heated laboratory equipment. System safety is further confirmed by a TÜV Süd certificate to the NRTL standard, comparable to UL and CSA. Besides a mechanically adjustable safety circuit (50 to 360 degrees Celsius) using two separate plate sensors, the unit has Delta-T medium monitoring, sensor break and misalignment detection, and automatic heating shut-off on a sudden temperature drop, for example from broken glassware. If a safety shut-off occurs, the Always Stir function keeps stirring active while heating stops, to prevent bumping or hot spots in the medium. A visual residual heat warning also protects against burns on surfaces above 50 degrees Celsius. Typical applications The combination of network connectivity, direct heat transfer and a comprehensive safety concept makes the RET basic a versatile instrument for digitalised laboratory environments: Networked laboratory processes with documentation requirements, thanks to integrated Wi-Fi and LAN Unattended continuous operation by pairing with an IKA overhead stirrer via Namur commands Demanding syntheses with high safety requirements, thanks to 18 safety features per EN IEC 61010-2-010 Mobile process monitoring via the IKA app Wet workstations that benefit from direct heat transfer through the uncoated aluminium plate Technical details Number of stirring positions1 Max. stirring volume (water)20 litres Maximum load25 kg MotorBrushless DC motor (EC), 9 W output Speed range50 to 1700 rpm Speed setting accuracy10 rpm Heating power800 W Heating plate temperature rangeRoom temperature to 340 °C Maximum heating rateup to 9 K/min Heating speed4 individually adjustable stages Control accuracy with PT1000 or ETS-D5±0.5 K Control accuracy with ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless±0.2 K Base plate diameter135 mm Base plate materialAluminium alloy, uncoated Network interfacesWi-Fi and LAN Wired data interfacesUSB-C and RS232 Communication standardASCII-based Namur commands App connectivityIKA app Timer1 second to 5,999 minutes pH measurementoptional with ETS-D7 or PT.Wireless Standards complianceEN IEC 61010-2-010, TÜV Süd NRTL-tested (UL/CSA standard) Number of safety features18 Adjustable safety circuit50 to 360 °C Medium safety functionDelta-T monitoring Bumping protectionAlways Stir function Burn protectionVisual residual heat warning above 50 °C surface temperature Display technology14-segment glass display Housing materialSealed die-cast aluminium housing Protection class per DIN EN 60529IP 54 Dimensions (W x D x H)160 x 200 x 100 mm Net weight2.3 kg Power supply220 to 230 V, 50/60 Hz OriginMade in Germany Scope of delivery1 x IKA RET basic magnetic stirrer with heating (MPN 0025008265)1 x PT 1000.60 temperature sensor, stainless steel1 x H 801 x IKAFLON 30 magnetic stirring bar1 x IKAFLON 40 magnetic stirring bar1 x screwdriver1 x mains cable1 x operating instructions Customised requirements & accessories IKA provides a manufacturer's warranty for the RET basic of 2 years, extended to 10 years if the device is registered at ika.com/register within 90 days of purchase. IKA Magnetrührer RCT basic Synthesis Solution 250 Komplettpaket, Aluminium-Aufstellplatte
IKA RCT basic Synthesis Solution 250 Magnetic Stirrer Complete Pack, Aluminium Base Plate, 0010016490
Herstellernummer: 0010016490

A glass flask is not very forgiving if, during reflux distillation, a sensor cable rubs against the clamp or if an oil bath spills onto the hotplate should the flask break. The IKA RCT basic Synthesis Solution 250 (ID No. 0010016490) addresses both issues: a wireless temperature sensor measures directly within the reaction medium, a second, wired sensor simultaneously monitors the synthesis block, and the flask is housed in an aluminium block rather than in an open oil bath. IKA supplies the complete set for round-bottom flasks up to 250 millilitres: the RCT basic magnetic stirrer with heating, flask holder, PT wireless and PT1000 sensors, USB dongle, as well as a stand and clamps for securing the flask. Wireless temperature and pH measurement in the reaction medium The centrepiece of the set is the PT wireless sensor, which transmits measurement values wirelessly to the RCT basic. A pH electrode can also be connected via the PT wireless’s BNC socket; the RCT basic’s display then shows the pH value directly, without the need for a separate measuring device. As there is no longer a sensor cable leading to the flask, the setup on the stand remains more flexible, and there is no risk of cables being damaged or scorched by contact with the heating plate. The supplied USB WD dongle also connects the RCT basic wirelessly to the IKA Lab Assistant app for visualising the measurement data. Dual temperature monitoring for greater safety In addition to the PT wireless, the set includes the wired PT 1000.60 sensor. Both sensors measure simultaneously, but at different locations: the PT 1000.60 monitors and limits the temperature at the synthesis block or heat transfer medium, whilst the PT wireless measures the temperature directly within the reaction medium. The RCT basic displays both values side by side on the screen. This separate measurement is particularly important in the event of glass breakage, as a sudden discrepancy between the block temperature and the medium temperature becomes immediately apparent and does not have to be detected via a single measurement point. Synthesis block instead of an oil bath The flask holder supplied (IKA designation H 135.25, for 250 ml round-bottom flasks, without handle) is a synthesis block made of solid anodised aluminium and is temperature-resistant up to 300 degrees Celsius. Compared to an oil or sand bath, this significantly reduces the potential for hazards and simplifies handling and cleaning, as there is no risk of an oil bath leaking or sand becoming stuck. A universal clamp (R 350) additionally secures the flask to the stand. The RCT basic has a second stand mount, which can be used to attach an additional stand rod for a reflux condenser if required. RCT basic as a basic unit: stirring and heating with 800 watts The basic unit covers a speed range of 50 to 1,500 revolutions per minute, adjusted via a rotary-push control with an accuracy of 10 revolutions per minute. Stirring rods with lengths of 20 to 80 millimetres can be used; according to the data sheet, the stirring capacity is up to 20 litres of water, and the maximum load is 25 kilograms. The heater has an output of 800 watts and reaches temperatures ranging from room temperature to 310 degrees Celsius; one litre of water heats up by 9 Kelvin per minute in heating stage H1500. The safety limit can be set independently of the setpoint between 50 and 360 degrees Celsius – a control logic that IKA has been using for decades in heated equipment. The die-cast aluminium housing is rated to IP 54, which protects against splashing water and corrosive laboratory air. Safety concept for unattended operation Beneath the heating plate are two further, separate temperature sensors: one controls the setpoint temperature, whilst the second monitors an independently adjustable safety limit in accordance with EN IEC 61010-2-010; this setting is adjusted mechanically directly on the unit and is independent of the process setpoint. If the medium temperature drops suddenly – for example, due to glass breakage or the medium evaporating – the RCT basic detects this and can switch off the heating. If the temperature fails to rise despite the power supply – for example, because a sensor is not immersed in the medium – the device also deactivates the heating automatically. A visual warning is also displayed as soon as the mounting surface exceeds 50 degrees Celsius, even if the unit is already switched off. Differences compared to the larger sets in the series The Synthesis Solution 250 shares the base unit with the 500 and 1,000 millilitre sets; the flask holder in all three sets is tailored to the respective flask volume. If you mainly carry out small experiments up to 250 millilitres, this set will suffice. If your experiments regularly reach 500 or 1,000 millilitres, the corresponding larger sets are the more obvious choice. It has not been verified at this stage whether the 500 and 1000 millilitre sets include the same range of wireless sensors as the 250-ml set; the shop descriptions for these sets to date only mention the wired PT1000 probe. Typical applications As a synthesis kit with wireless sensor technology, the RCT basic Synthesis Solution 250 is suitable for, amongst other things: Organic syntheses on a 250-ml scale with simultaneous monitoring of block and medium temperatures Refluxing, where an additional stand rod is required for the condenser pH monitoring directly in the reaction mixture, without a separate pH meter at the workstation Laboratory workstations that wish to avoid open oil baths for safety or cleaning reasons Technical details Number of stirring points1 Max. stirring volume (H₂O)20 l Maximum load25 kg Motor power output9 W, brushless DC motor Speed range50 to 1500 rpm Speed adjustment accuracy10 rpm Stirrer rod length20 to 80 mm Heating power800 W Heating temperature rangeRoom temperature to 310 °C Heating rate (1 l H₂O, heating setting H1500)9 K/min Adjustable safety circuit50 to 360 °C Control accuracy with PT1000 (500 ml H₂O, 40 mm rod, 600 rpm, 50 °C)±0.5 K Base plate materialAluminium alloy, Ø 135 mm Protection class according to DIN EN 60529IP 54 InterfacesRS232, USB-C, USB WD dongle (wireless) Dimensions of base unit (W x H x D)160 x 100 x 200 mm Net weight of base unit2.3 kg Power supply220 to 230 V, 50/60 Hz Power consumption820 W Piston carrier volume250 ml, without handle Flask holder materialAnodised aluminium, temperature-resistant up to 300 °C Wired temperature probePT 1000.60, stainless steel Wireless temperature probePT wireless, with BNC connector for optional pH electrode Contents 1 x IKA RCT basic magnetic stirrer with heating 1 x PT wireless, wireless temperature probe 1 x H 16 V support rod 1 x support rod H 38 2 x H 44 cross-sleeve 1 x H 80 bracket for the temperature probe 1 x R 350 universal clamp 1 x PT 1000.60 temperature probe, stainless steel 1 x USB WD, USB dongle for the RCT basic 1 x flask holder H 135.25 for 250 ml round-bottom flasks, without handle 5 x IKAFLON 25 ellipse, magnetic stirring bars 1 x IKAFLON 30 magnetic stir bar 1 x IKAFLON 40 magnetic stirring bar 1 x screwdriver for assembly Customised requirements & procurement service Those who regularly carry out larger batches will find the IKA RCT basic Synthesis Solution 500 (MPN 0010016483) or the Synthesis Solution 1000 (MPN 0010016478) to be the ideal set for 500 or 1000 millilitres respectively. Part of the IKA Specials Q4/2026, valid until 31 December 2026. The crossed-out price is IKA's recommended list price. Our promotional price is net.The IKA RH lite magnetic stirrer with integrated heating represents a cost-effective and highly efficient thermomechanical system solution for the precise mixing, temperature control and homogenisation of liquids in biological, chemical and university laboratory environments. As a robust entry-level and routine instrument from the IKA laboratory technology range, this compact unit is designed for continuous stirring tasks up to a volume of 15 litres (based on water). For everyday standard applications, reagent preparation or simple heating processes, this system offers constant speed stability and reliable heat transfer to guarantee reproducible results. Efficient mixing and gentle heating The stirring drive is based on an energy-efficient, brushless EC motor with a speed range of 100 to 1,500 revolutions per minute. With a heating power of 600 watts, the system heats sample media rapidly and directly up to a hotplate temperature of 310 degrees Celsius (room temperature plus device self-heating). One litre of water reaches a heating rate of approximately 5.5 K per minute. The magnetic coupling keeps the stir bar reliably in position even when the viscosity of the medium begins to change, and a gentle start-up mode prevents the stir bar from becoming disengaged during the critical start-up phase. Robust aluminium alloy hotplate for everyday laboratory use The mechanical heart of the IKA RH lite is its round hotplate (diameter 135 mm) made from an aluminium alloy with increased surface strength for a long service life. Self-heating of the plate during stirring at maximum speed stays at around 6 K (based on 22 degrees Celsius room temperature over one hour), which makes mixing temperature-sensitive samples easier. The housing is made from a durable composite material that protects the internal electronics from spills and allows for easy, residue-free cleaning of the unit's surfaces. Safety-oriented operation for everyday laboratory use The RH lite has an adjustable temperature safety circuit in accordance with the laboratory equipment standard EN IEC 61010-2-010 for heated devices, adjustable from 50 to 360 degrees Celsius. Two rotary and push buttons on the front panel allow independent setpoint adjustment as well as separate start and stop of the heating and stirring function, even when wearing laboratory gloves. Thanks to its compact footprint of 168 x 100 x 217 mm (width x height x depth), the magnetic stirrer can be integrated into any laboratory workstation or fume cupboard to save space, even when several stirring points are needed in parallel. At a net weight of 2.1 kg, the unit is also easy to move between workstations. IKA Topolino Mobil, magnetic stirrer without heating, battery-powered, 0003381300
IKA Topolino Mobil, magnetic stirrer without heating, battery-powered, 0003381300
Herstellernummer: 0003381300

Electromagnetic rotational kinematics in microvolumes The homogenisation of aqueous or low-viscosity samples in portable field diagnostics requires compact systems with a highly efficient ratio of energy consumption to mechanical torque transmission. The IKA topolino mobil operates as a purely electromagnetic stirrer (without a thermodynamic heating function) and is process-technically limited to a maximum working volume of 250 ml (based on water). The miniaturised drive train generates a continuously variable rotating magnetic field that synchronises the magnetic stirring bar in the vessel at a frequency of 300 to 1,800 revolutions per minute. This asymmetric speed range makes it possible to generate gentle diffusion flows at low frequencies for sensitive colorimetric titrations, whilst the maximum speed generates a strong axial flow vortex to mix reagents microkinetically in fractions of a second. Energy self-sufficiency and system isolation The fundamental innovation of this model lies in its complete energy decoupling from the mains supply. The topolino mobil is primarily powered by rechargeable NiMH batteries (AA standard) or conventional batteries. This infrastructural self-sufficiency makes the system ideally suited for use in self-contained glove boxes, anaerobic workbenches or compact CO₂ incubators, where the routing of stationary power cables through the housing walls would compromise the system’s hermetic seal (and thus the aerosol containment or the atmosphere). With a self-sufficient operating time of up to 12 hours, the system guarantees uninterrupted fluid-mechanical agitation far removed from laboratory infrastructure (field use). Tribological material architecture and system statics Despite its extreme miniaturisation, the device is subject to the chemical and physical requirements of instrumental analysis. The monolithic housing and base are entirely injection-moulded from high-density polypropylene (PP). This thermoplastic polymer exhibits excellent structural integrity and is highly chemically inert towards accidentally spilled acids, bases or organic solvents. The absence of a heating matrix prevents thermal stress on the housing material and eliminates the latent risk of sample denaturation due to unintended heat transfer. Technical details Kinematics & Fluid Mechanics Operating principle: Electromagnetic rotation Maximum stirring volume (H₂O): 250 ml Speed range: 300 – 1,800 rpm Speed adjustment: Continuously variable via analogue rotary potentiometer Maximum magnetic stir bar length: 30 mm Motor power input / output: 1.2 W / 0.8 W Motor type: Brushless DC motor (wear-free) Energy management & self-sufficiency Primary power supply: Mains-independent rechargeable or battery operation (AA / Mignon) Maximum running time (rechargeable battery operation): approx. 8 to 12 hours (depending on viscosity) Secondary power supply: Mains adapter for continuous stationary operation Charging function: Integrated; charges rechargeable batteries whilst the device is connected to the mains Materials Science & Dimensions Housing / base material: Polypropylene (PP) Base dimensions: Ø 70 mm System dimensions (W x H x D): 140 x 40 x 73 mm Weight: 0.13 kg (excluding batteries) Safety & Environmental Conditions Permissible ambient temperature range: 5 – 40 °C (suitable for incubators) Permissible relative humidity: max. 80 % Protection class (according to DIN EN 60529): IP 20 Electrical & Infrastructure Voltage / frequency (mains adaptor): 100 – 240 V / 50/60 Hz DC input on the device: 9 V Current consumption: 300 mA Contents of delivery 1 x IKA topolino mobil magnetic stirrer 4 x rechargeable NiMH batteries (type AA) 1 x mains adaptor (incl. adapter) (Important note: Magnetic stirring rods for creating agitation in the vessel are not included!) Individual requirements & accessories The topolino mobil generates pure electromagnetic rotation, but requires a suitable rotor in the medium to induce the flow. Due to the spatial limitations of the system and the induced magnetic field, the length of the magnetic stirring rod must not exceed the absolute maximum of 30 mm; otherwise, at higher frequencies, the rotor will be thrown out of the magnetic field (decoupled) due to asymmetric slip. For aqueous micro-assays, we recommend standard PTFE-coated IKAFLON stirring rods (20 mm or 30 mm). Please contact our procurement service at any time for the fluid-dynamically correct configuration of your mobile setup.

IKA colour squid white, magnetic stirrer without heating, glass surface, 0003671000
IKA colour squid white, magnetic stirrer without heating, glass surface, 0003671000
Herstellernummer: 0003671000

Electromagnetic Rotational Kinematics and Microfluidics The homogenisation of aqueous or low-viscosity matrices on a laboratory scale requires compact, high-frequency power transmission. The IKA colour squid white operates as a purely electromagnetic stirrer (without a thermodynamic heating unit) and is process-technically limited to a maximum hydrodynamic working volume of 1 L (based on water). The drive unit generates a continuously modulatable, high-frequency alternating magnetic field, which synchronises the rotor (stirring bar) in the reaction vessel at a frequency of 0 to 2,500 revolutions per minute. This asymmetrically wide speed range generates an extremely steep axial flow funnel (vortex) even at minimal volumes. The resulting centrifugal force maximises molecular mass transfer (mixing kinetics) in fractions of a second and physically eliminates dead zones within the reaction vessel. Amorphous glass matrix and absolute chemical inertness The materials science architecture of the mounting surface (Ø 115 mm) is fundamentally designed for tribological and chemical resistance. The chassis is coated with a monolithic layer of tempered real glass. This amorphous silicate structure is completely inert towards virtually all highly aggressive chemical reagents, halogens, strong acids or alkalis, which would irreversibly corrode conventional metallic or polymer housings in the event of accidental spillage. The glass also physically prevents the accumulation of microbial biofilms and can be thoroughly decontaminated. As the system is thermodynamically decoupled (no heating matrix), the thermolabile matrix in the reaction vessel is not denatured by heat radiation induced from the surface on which it is placed. Metrological system cybernetics and electronic commutation The mechanical drive train is based on an electronically commutated motor (EC motor). The complete absence of mechanical carbon brushes eliminates tribological wear and frictional resistance, thereby qualifying the system for uninterrupted continuous operation (100% duty cycle) at a constant kinetic power (3 W). Metrological control of the stirring process is carried out via a digital LED display. The integrated processor-controlled cybernetics guarantees delay-free transmission of speed adjustments and seamless visual feedback of the actual rotational kinematics to the user. Technical details Kinematics & Fluid Mechanics Processing principle: Electromagnetic rotation Maximum stirring volume (H₂O): 1 L Speed range: 0 – 2,500 rpm Speed display: Digital LED display Speed adjustment: Continuously variable via button interface Maximum magnetic bar length: 30 mm Motor power input / output: 3 W / 2 W Motor principle: Electronically commutated DC motor (wear-free) Materials science & dimensions Base material: Hardened real glass (amorphous silicate matrix) Colour scheme / design: White (white background with IKA logo) Base dimensions: Ø 115 mm System dimensions (W x H x D): 145 x 45 x 160 mm Machine weight: 0.54 kg Housing material: Chemical-resistant plastic with glass lid Safety & Environmental Conditions Permissible ambient temperature range: 5 – 40 °C Permissible relative humidity: max. 80 % Protection class (according to DIN EN 60529): IP 54 (protection against dust and water spray from all directions) Thermal conditions: No heating function; physical protection for thermolabile samples Electrical & Infrastructure Voltage / frequency (mains adaptor): 100 – 240 V / 50/60 Hz DC input on the unit: 12 V Current consumption: 300 mA Power consumption: max. 4 W Contents of delivery 1 x IKA colour squid white magnetic stirrer 1 x mains power supply (including adapter) Important note: Magnetic stirring rods for generating kinetics in the fluid are essential for process operation and are not included in the scope of delivery! Due to the compact geometry of the magnetic field, the use of rotors with a maximum length of 30 mm is a metrological requirement to prevent asymmetric slip (decoupling) at high frequencies. Custom requirements & accessories As a pure drive unit, the color squid white does not generate mixing as long as the magnetic field lines are not transferred to a rotor in the vessel. For optimum fluid dynamic turbulence in 1 L Erlenmeyer flasks or beakers, we recommend purchasing cylindrical, PTFE-coated IKAFLON magnetic stirring bars (e.g. in lengths of 20 mm or 30 mm). To safely retrieve the contaminated rotors from the solution, you will also need a long PTFE magnetic rod retriever. Please contact our procurement service at any time for assistance with configuring your micro-homogenisation infrastructure.

IKA myPlate, magnetic stirrer without heating, customisable glass surface, 0025005156
IKA myPlate, magnetic stirrer without heating, customisable glass surface, 0025005156
Herstellernummer: 0025005156

Electromagnetic Rotational Kinematics and Fluid Mechanics The homogeneous mixing of aqueous or low-viscosity matrices on a laboratory scale requires a compact, high-frequency power transmission system. The IKA myPlate operates as a purely electromagnetic stirrer (without a thermodynamic heating unit) and is designed for a hydrodynamic working capacity of up to 1.5 L (based on water). The brushless drive generates a continuously variable rotating magnetic field that synchronises the rotor in the reaction vessel at a frequency of 0 to 2,500 revolutions per minute. This asymmetrically wide speed range creates a massive axial flow vortex. The resulting centrifugal forces and shear stresses maximise molecular mass transfer (mixing kinetics) and completely eliminate fluid dynamic dead zones in the beaker or Erlenmeyer flask. Amorphous glass matrix and optical system architecture The materials science architecture of the large mounting surface (Ø 135 mm) is based on a monolithic layer of tempered real glass. This amorphous silicate structure guarantees absolute inertness towards highly aggressive chemical reagents, strong acids or alkalis, which would irreversibly corrode conventional plastic housings in the event of a spill. A distinctive feature of this chassis’s design is the integrated, tool-free removable insert frame. This allows the instrument’s surface to be visually customised by inserting individual printed media, without blocking the magnetic field lines or compromising the metrological enclosure. As the system is thermodynamically decoupled, thermal denaturation of thermolabile samples is physically impossible. Metrological cybernetics and capacitive interface control The mechanical drive train is implemented via an electronically commutated motor (EC motor). The absence of mechanical sliding contacts eliminates tribological wear, reduces power consumption to a minimum of 4 W and qualifies the system for continuous operation without thermal stress. Metrological control of the process is carried out via a capacitive sensor keypad (touch slider) and a digital LED display. The integrated sensor technology translates the manual swiping gesture instantly into an incremental adjustment of the rotational speed and provides seamless visual feedback on the rotational kinematics. Technical details Kinematics & Fluid Mechanics Process principle: Electromagnetic rotation Maximum stirring volume (H₂O): 1.5 L Speed range: 0 – 2,500 rpm Speed display: Digital LED display Speed adjustment: Capacitive touch slider Maximum stir bar length: 30 mm Motor power input / output: 4 W / 2 W Motor type: Electronically commutated DC motor (EC motor) Materials Science & Systems Architecture Base material: Tempered real glass (amorphous silicate matrix) Modular design: Integrated interchangeable frame for visual customisation Base dimensions: Ø 135 mm System dimensions (W x H x D): 152 x 30 x 164 mm Machine weight: 0.5 kg Housing material: High-performance plastic with real glass cover Safety & environmental conditions Permissible ambient temperature range: 5 – 40 °C Permissible relative humidity: max. 80 % Protection class (to DIN EN 60529): IP 54 (protection against dust and splashing water) Thermal influence: None, as it is a purely kinetic unit without a heating matrix Electrical & Infrastructure Voltage / frequency (mains adaptor): 100 – 240 V / 50/60 Hz DC input on the unit: 12 V Current consumption: 300 mA Contents of delivery 1 x IKA myPlate magnetic stirrer 1 x mains power supply (including adapter) 1 x blank paper insert for personalisation Important note: Magnetic stirring rods for hydrodynamic energy transfer into the fluid are essential for operation and are not included in the scope of delivery! Due to the magnetic pole spacing within the chassis, only stirring rods with a maximum length of 30 mm may be used to prevent asymmetric flow separation (decoupling). Individual requirements & accessories The IKA myPlate generates a rotating magnetic field but, without a suitable rotor, does not induce any mechanical flow vectors. For maximum efficiency in 1.5 L beakers, we recommend using cylindrical, PTFE-coated IKAFLON magnetic stirring rods (max. 30 mm in length). To retrieve the magnetic stir bars without contamination after homogenisation, you will also need a PTFE magnetic stir bar retriever. Please contact our procurement service at any time for the fluid-dynamically correct configuration of your stirring setup.

IKA RT 15 Mehrstellenmagnetrührer mit Heizung, 15 Rührstellen im 90-mm-Raster
IKA RT 15 Multi-position Magnetic Stirrer with Heating, 15 Stirring Positions in a 90 Mm Grid, 0003692600
Herstellernummer: 0003692600

Anyone who regularly stirs a whole series of identical samples in parallel, for example, in quality control, in series of experiments or in laboratory classrooms with many groups working simultaneously, will quickly reach the limits of space and cost when using individual magnetic stirrers. The IKA RT 15 (0003692600) accommodates 15 heated stirring positions in a 90-millimetre grid, driven by a single coil drive instead of 15 individual motors, with a speed deviation of 0 per cent between the positions. Shared coil drive instead of individual motors Unlike 15 separate magnetic stirrers, the RT 15 operates using silent coil drive technology that powers all 15 stirring positions simultaneously. According to the data sheet, the speed variation between the individual positions is 0 per cent; all positions therefore run synchronously at the same set speed of 0 to 1,000 revolutions per minute, adjustable in increments of 10 revolutions per minute. 15 stirring positions in a uniform 90-millimetre grid The base, made from an aluminium alloy, measures 270 x 495 millimetres and is designed to accommodate 15 standard vessels in a 90-millimetre grid. Up to 0.4 l of water is provided per stirring position; in total, the unit can carry a maximum load of 15 kilograms. Stirring rods measuring 25 to 30 millimetres in length are suitable for the individual positions. Heating function with a total power output of 580 watts The integrated heating system covers a temperature range from room temperature to 120 degrees Celsius, with a total heating power of 580 watts for all 15 positions combined. The safety limit can be set between 50 and 150 degrees Celsius. A silicone mat supplied with the unit protects the surface on which it is placed and, according to the manufacturer, ensures optimised temperature distribution across the heating zones. Silent drive with no mechanical wear The coil drive technology generates the rotating field for all 15 positions electronically, without any mechanically moving drive elements such as belts or gears at each stirring point. This not only reduces noise levels during continuous operation but also minimises maintenance requirements compared to a bench comprising 15 individual, mechanically driven stirrers, where each motor has its own wear parts. Typical applications With synchronously operating multiple stations, the RT 15 is ideally suited for: Parallel batch tests with identical stirring and heating parameters across 15 batches Quality control with recurring sample series in routine laboratories Training laboratories where several workstations are required to operate simultaneously at the same speed Solution preparation for sample series of up to 0.4 l per station A space-saving alternative to several individual heated magnetic stirrers Selection guide: single-station or multi-station stirrer Anyone who regularly stirs more than three to four identical batches in parallel should weigh up the cost of a multi-station stirrer against that of several individual units: ModelStirring positionsHeatingStirring capacity per stationPower supply RT 15 (this unit)15Yes, 580 W0.4 l230 V mains voltage RT 1010Yes, 375 W0.4 l230 V mains voltage RO 1010No0.4 l24 V, external power supply If heating is required in addition to stirring, the RT series is the right choice. If stirring alone without heating is sufficient, the RO series with its 24-volt power supply saves on initial purchase costs and ongoing electricity costs. For smaller batches of up to 10 runs, the RT 10 is also available within the RT series, which requires fewer positions whilst maintaining the same grid layout. Differences between the RT 10 and RO 10 The most significant difference within the multi-station series lies between the RT and RO models: The IKA RT 10 shares the same heating function and 230-volt mains voltage as the RT 15, but offers only 10 stirring positions instead of 15, with a correspondingly lower heating power of 375 watts instead of 580 watts. The IKA RO 10 does not have a heating function at all and is instead powered by an external 24-volt power supply; this is the key factor in the purchasing decision: those who only need to stir, but do not need to heat, are better served by the RO series. Technical details Number of stirring positions15 Stirring point spacing (grid)90 mm Speed variation between positions0 % Max. stirring volume per point (H2O)0.4 l Maximum load15 kg Speed range0 to 1000 rpm, adjustable in 10-rpm increments Stirrer rod length25 to 30 mm heating power580 W (total) Heating temperature rangeRoom temperature to 120 °C, LED display Adjustable safety limit50 to 150 °C Footprint, material / dimensionsAluminium alloy, 270 x 495 mm Heating rate (1 l H2O in H1500)3 K/min Dimensions (W x H x D)280 x 60 x 610 mm Weight10.5 kg Protection classIP 40 (DIN EN 60529) Mains connection230 V, 50/60 Hz, 600 W (other voltage options: 115 V / 100 V available) Scope of delivery 1 x IKA RT 15 multi-position magnetic stirrer with heating (0003692600) 1 x silicone mat for protection and optimised temperature distribution The scope of delivery does not include stirring rods for the individual positions, and they must be purchased separately if required. Use, installation, maintenance and disposal With an IP 40 protection rating, the RT 15 is protected against solid foreign objects from 1 millimetre in size; however, it is not splash-proof. Accordingly, the unit should be operated on a dry, level surface and not in the immediate vicinity of sources of splashing water. The supplied silicone mat should be checked regularly for damage and cleaned if necessary, as it protects against both mechanical contact and uneven heat distribution. Before moving the device, which, at 10.5 kilograms, is comparatively heavy, it should be allowed to cool down and disconnected from the mains. At the end of its service life, as an electrical appliance, the device must not be disposed of with household waste but must be placed in the separate collection scheme for waste electrical and electronic equipment; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is DE 66784213. Business case: Multi-position stirrer versus multiple individual units For batch processing involving many small, similar batches of up to 0.4 l per position, the RT 15 is generally more cost-effective than 15 individual heated magnetic stirrers, both in terms of purchase cost and in terms of space required on the laboratory bench and cabling requirements, as only a single mains cable is required instead of 15 individual connections. The 0 per cent speed deviation between stations also ensures comparable results across all positions, an advantage over multiple individual units with potentially slightly differing calibration. If, on the other hand, only a few samples need to be processed in parallel or larger stirring volumes per vessel are required, individual C-MAG or RCT/RET units with a higher stirring volume per position are the more suitable choice. Individual requirements and procurement service Suitable original accessories are available for the RT 15 as required, such as magnetic stirring bars in various shapes, beaker lids, a stirring bar remover and power cables for different country variants (EU, USA, UK, Switzerland). Through our procurement service, we also assist you with spare parts and the standardisation of equipment across multiple production workstations. Further information and contact details can be found at lt-laborhandel.com/service. Frequently Asked Questions Do all 15 stirring stations really operate at the same speed?Yes, according to the data sheet, the speed variation between the stations is 0 per cent, made possible by the shared coil drive rather than individual motors. Can each stirring station be heated individually?According to the data sheet, the heating power of 580 watts is specified for all stations combined; all stations share the same setpoint temperature. How does the RT 15 differ from the RO 10?The RT 15 heats and operates on a 230-volt mains supply, whilst the RO 10 does not have a heating function and is powered by an external 24-volt power supply; however, it offers only 10 stirring positions instead of 15. What is the maximum size of a stirring vessel per position?According to the data sheet, up to 0.4 l of water per stirring position is permitted; the spacing between positions is 90 millimetres, which is sufficient for standard test tubes and small beakers. Are stirring rods included in the scope of delivery? No, the RT 15 is supplied without stirring rods for the 15 stirring positions; suitable PTFE-coated magnetic rods in various shapes are available separately from the IKA range of accessories. Is the RT 15 suitable for continuous operation with multiple parallel batches? The silent coil drive technology, which does not use individual mechanical motors, is designed for long-term, low-maintenance continuous operation. How does the RT 15 differ from the RT 10?The RT 15 offers 5 additional stirring positions and correspondingly higher heating power (580 instead of 375 watts), whilst otherwise featuring identical operating logic and the same 90-millimetre grid. How should the RT 15 be disposed of correctly? As an electrical appliance, it should be taken to a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection point rather than disposed of with household waste; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is listed in the section on ‘Use, Installation, Maintenance and Disposal’.

IKA RT 10 Mehrstellenmagnetrührer mit Heizung, 10 Rührstellen im 90-mm-Raster
IKA RT 10 Multi-position Magnetic Stirrer with Heating, 10 Stirring Positions in a 90 Mm Grid, 0003691100
Herstellernummer: 0003691100

Not every laboratory needs as many as 15 parallel stirring stations; 10 synchronously operating positions are often sufficient for standard sample series. The IKA RT 10 (0003691100) offers exactly that: 10 heated stirring stations in a 90-millimetre grid, driven by a single coil drive rather than individual motors, with a speed deviation of 0 per cent between the stations. Common solenoid drive for consistent results Like the larger models in the series, the RT 10 uses silent solenoid drive technology instead of individual motors for each position. According to the data sheet, the speed variation between the 10 positions is 0 per cent; all positions run synchronously at the same set speed of 0 to 1,000 revolutions per minute, adjustable in increments of 10 revolutions per minute. 10 stirring positions in a uniform 90-millimetre grid The base, made from an aluminium alloy, measures 180 x 495 millimetres, smaller than that of the RT 15, but with the same 90-millimetre grid for standard vessels. Up to 0.4 l of water is provided per stirring position; the maximum load capacity of the unit is 10 kilograms. Stirring rods measuring 25 to 30 millimetres in length are suitable for the individual positions. Heating function with a total output of 375 watts The integrated heating system covers a temperature range from room temperature to 120 degrees Celsius, with a total heating power of 375 watts for all 10 positions combined. The safety limit can be set between 50 and 150 degrees Celsius. A silicone mat, supplied as standard, protects the surface on which the unit is placed and, according to the manufacturer, ensures optimised temperature distribution. Silent drive with no mechanical wear The coil drive technology generates the rotating field for all 10 positions electronically, without any mechanically moving drive elements such as belts or gears at each stirring point. This not only reduces noise levels during continuous operation but also minimises maintenance requirements compared with a bench comprising 10 individual, mechanically driven stirrers. Typical applications With multiple stations operating in synchronisation, the RT 10 is ideally suited for: Parallel sample series with identical stirring and heating parameters across 10 batches Routine laboratories carrying out regularly recurring series of tests Training laboratories with several workstations operating simultaneously Solution preparation for sample series of up to 0.4 l per station A space-saving alternative to several individual heated magnetic stirrers, on a smaller scale than the RT 15 Selection guide: 10 positions, 15 positions or without heating The choice between the RT 10, RT 15 and RO 10 depends primarily on the number of positions required and whether heating is necessary: ModelStirring positionsHeatingCapacityPower supply RT 10 (this unit)10Yes, 375 W10 kg230 V mains voltage RT 1515Yes, 580 W15 kg230 V mains voltage RO 1010No10 kg24 V, external power supply If more than 10 parallel stations are required, the RT 15 is the more suitable choice. If simple stirring without heating is sufficient, the RO 10, with its 24-volt power supply, offers lower purchase costs than the RT 10. Differences between the RT 15 and RO 10 The IKA RT 15 shares the same heating technology and 230-volt mains voltage as the RT 10, but offers 15 stirring stations instead of 10, with a correspondingly higher heating power of 580 watts instead of 375 watts, for larger production runs. The IKA RO 10 has the same number of stirring positions as the RT 10, but does not feature a heating function at all and is powered by an external 24-volt power supply. This is the key factor in the purchasing decision: those who only need to stir, but do not need to heat, are better served by the RO 10. Use, installation, maintenance and disposal With an IP 40 protection rating, the RT 10 is protected against solid foreign objects from 1 millimetre in size; however, it is not splash-proof. Accordingly, the unit should be operated on a dry, level surface away from sources of splashing water and direct solvent vapours. The supplied silicone mat should be checked regularly for damage, as it protects against both mechanical contact and uneven heat distribution. Before moving the unit, which weighs 7.5 kilograms, it should be allowed to cool down and disconnected from the mains. At the end of its service life, as an electrical appliance, the unit must not be disposed of with household waste but must be placed in the separate collection for waste electrical and electronic equipment; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is DE 66784213. Business case: 10 positions as a starting point for batch production For laboratories that regularly process between 5 and 10 identical batches in parallel, the RT 10 is often the more economical choice compared to the larger RT 15, both in terms of purchase price and the space required on the bench, as well as the cabling requirements, since only one mains cable is needed instead of several individual connections. If requirements exceed 10 parallel stations, a comparison should be made between purchasing a second RT 10 and switching directly to the RT 15; the latter generally saves space, reduces cabling effort and minimises the number of mains connections compared with two smaller units. If heating is not required, the RO 10, which offers the same number of workstations, is the more cost-effective alternative. Individual requirements and procurement service Suitable original accessories are available for the RT 10 as required, such as magnetic stirring bars in various shapes, beaker lids, a stirring bar remover and power cables for different country variants (EU, USA, UK, Switzerland). Through our procurement service, we can also assist you with spare parts and the standardised kitting of multiple production workstations. Further information and contact details can be found at lt-laborhandel.com/service. Frequently Asked Questions Do all 10 stirring positions really operate at the same speed?Yes, according to the data sheet, the speed variation between the positions is 0 per cent, made possible by the shared coil drive rather than individual motors. What happens if I need more than 10 parallel stations? For larger production runs, IKA offers the RT 15 in the same series, featuring 15 stirring stations in the same 90-millimetre grid and a correspondingly higher total heating power of 580 watts. How does the RT 10 differ from the RO 10?The RT 10 heats and operates on 230-volt mains voltage, whilst the RO 10 does not have a heating function and is powered by an external 24-volt power supply. What is the maximum size of a stirring vessel per position?According to the data sheet, up to 0.4 l of water per stirring position is permitted; the spacing between positions is 90 millimetres. Are stirring rods included in the Scope of delivery? No, suitable stirring rods for the individual positions must be purchased separately; the range of accessories includes PTFE-coated rods in various shapes. Can the RT 10 be set up alongside other laboratory equipment to save space? With a footprint of 180 x 495 millimetres and external dimensions of 190 x 60 x 610 millimetres, the RT 10 is designed as a narrow, elongated unit for installation along a laboratory bench. Is it worth opting for a single RT 15 instead of two RT 10s?Where there is a long-term requirement for more than 10 stirring positions, a single RT 15 with 15 positions is often more space-saving and cost-effective than two separate RT 10 units with double the cabling. Can the RT 10 be combined with the RT 15 to cover more stations? Both units can be operated side by side independently of one another; the manufacturer’s specifications do not provide for joint control or synchronisation between two separate units. How should the RT 10 be disposed of correctly? As an electrical appliance, it should be taken to a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection point rather than disposed of with household waste; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is listed in the section on ‘Application, Installation, Maintenance and Disposal’.

IKA RO 10 Mehrstellenmagnetrührer ohne Heizung, 10 Rührstellen im 90-mm-Raster, 24 V
IKA RO 10 Multi-position Magnetic Stirrer without Heating, 10 Stirring Positions in a 90 Mm Grid, 24 V, 0003691000
Herstellernummer: 0003691000

Not every routine task in the laboratory requires a heating function; often, the only requirement is reliable, synchronised and uniform stirring at room temperature across multiple positions. The IKA RO 10 (0003691000) is the pure stirring variant of the multi-position series: 10 stirring positions in a 90-millimetre grid without heating, powered by an external 24-volt power supply rather than direct mains voltage, with a speed deviation of 0 per cent between positions. Common coil drive without heating function Like the heated RT models, the RO 10 utilises silent coil drive technology, which drives all 10 stirring positions collectively rather than via individual motors. According to the data sheet, the speed variation between the positions is 0 per cent; the speed range extends from 0 to 1,200 revolutions per minute, which is slightly higher than that of the heated RT models at 1,000 revolutions per minute. Operates via an external 24-volt power supply Unlike the RT 10 and RT 15, which are powered directly from a 230-volt mains supply, the RO 10 runs via an external power supply unit delivering 24 volts DC and drawing a current of 1,000 milliamps. The power supply unit itself accepts an input of 100 to 240 volts and has a power consumption of 24 watts. This design is typical for devices without a heating load, where the lower overall power consumption allows for a low-voltage supply. Stainless steel mounting surface and anti-slip film The work surface is made of 1.4301 stainless steel and measures 190 x 470 millimetres in a 90-millimetre grid, providing 10 positions. A removable, transparent anti-slip film is included in the Scope of delivery and ensures that vessels do not slip on the smooth stainless steel surface. Stirring rods measuring 25 to 30 millimetres in length are suitable for the individual positions. Silent drive with no mechanical wear As with the heated RT models, the coil drive technology generates the rotating field for all 10 positions electronically, without any mechanically moving drive elements at each stirring point. Combined with the enclosed, compact design, this results in a low-maintenance unit for continuous batch processing, where, unlike with multiple individual motors, there are no wear parts at each stirring point that require monitoring. Typical applications As a pure stirring variant without a heating function, the RO 10 is technically suitable for: Parallel stirring processes without temperature requirements, such as homogenisation or dissolution at room temperature Routine laboratories where a heating function is not required and purchase costs are a consideration Environments with low-voltage requirements, such as in certain training situations Batches of samples up to 0.4 l per position with uniform, synchronised speed As a supplement to existing heating sources such as separate water baths Selection guide: with or without heating The most important decision within the multi-station series is whether heating is required: ModelStirring positionsHeatingSpeed rangePower supply RO 10 (this unit)10No0 to 1200 rpm24 V, external power supply RT 1010Yes, 375 W0 to 1000 rpm230 V mains voltage RT 1515Yes, 580 W0 to 1000 rpm230 V mains voltage If heating is required in addition to stirring, the RT 10 or RT 15 are the right choice. If stirring alone is sufficient, the RO 10 saves on both the initial purchase cost and ongoing electricity costs compared to the RT models, and even achieves a slightly higher maximum speed range. Differences between the RT 10 and RT 15 The IKA RT 10 shares the same 10 stirring positions on a 90-millimetre grid as the RO 10, but also features a heating function with a total power output of 375 watts and is powered directly from a 230-volt mains supply rather than via an external power supply unit. The IKA RT 15 offers a further 5 stirring positions, including heating, for larger batches, also in a 90-millimetre grid and with the same 0 per cent speed deviation. Anyone who only needs to stir but requires more than 10 stations should weigh up this requirement against two RO-10 units or an RT-15 solution with an unused heating function. Technical details Number of stirring stations10 Stirring station spacing (grid)90 mm Speed variation between positions0 % Max. mixing volume per point (H2O)0.4 l Maximum load10 kg Speed range0 to 1200 rpm, adjustable in 10-rpm increments Stirrer rod length25 to 30 mm DC voltage / current consumption24 V DC, 1000 mA Footprint, material / dimensionsStainless steel 1.4301, 190 x 470 mm Dimensions (W x H x D)190 x 60 x 570 mm Weight5 kg Protection classIP 40 (DIN EN 60529) Mains connection (power supply unit)100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, power consumption 24 W Scope of delivery 1 x IKA RO 10 multi-position magnetic stirrer without heating (0003691000) 1 x removable transparent anti-slip film Stirring rods for the individual positions are not included in the Scope of delivery and must be purchased separately if required. Use, installation, maintenance and disposal With an IP 40 protection rating, the RO 10 is protected against solid foreign objects from 1 millimetre in size; it is not splash-proof, so the unit should be operated on a dry, level surface. The stainless steel base is chemical-resistant and easy to clean; the transparent anti-slip film can be removed and replaced as required. As the unit is powered by an external 24-volt power supply, the cable should be checked regularly for damage. At the end of its service life, as an electrical appliance, the device must not be disposed of with household waste but must be placed in the separate collection scheme for waste electrical and electronic equipment; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is DE 66784213. Investment rationale: When it pays to do without heating If stirring is carried out exclusively at room temperature, or if a heat source is already available elsewhere, such as a separate water bath, the RO 10 offers a lower purchase cost than the RT 10 with the same number of stations, without compromising on stirring performance or synchronisation between the stations. Operating electricity consumption is also correspondingly lower due to the absence of the heating load. If it is foreseeable that heating will also be required, switching directly to the RT 10 is generally more cost-effective than retrofitting at a later date, as a heating function cannot be retrofitted to an RO unit. Individual requirements and procurement service Suitable original accessories are available for the RO 10 as required, such as magnetic stirring bars in various shapes, beaker lids and a stirring bar remover, as well as certificates and documentation for IQ/OQ qualification. Through our procurement service, we also assist you with spare parts and the standardised kitting of multiple production workstations. Further information and contact details can be found at lt-laborhandel.com/service. Frequently Asked Questions Why is the RO 10 powered by 24 volts rather than direct mains voltage? As there is no heating load, a low-voltage supply via an external power supply unit, which accepts 100 to 240 volts at the input, is sufficient. Can a heating function be retrofitted at a later date? No, the RO 10 is designed purely as a stirring unit; for heating requirements, the RT 10, which has an identical design, is available. Do all 10 stirring positions really run at the same speed?Yes; according to the data sheet, the speed variation between the positions is 0 per cent. Is the external power supply included in the Scope of delivery? The unit operates on 24-volt DC with a current draw of 1,000 milliamps; we can provide the identification number of the supplied power supply on request; the power supply itself accepts 100 to 240 volts at the input. What is the anti-slip mat for?It prevents containers from slipping on the smooth stainless steel work surface and can be removed if required. Why is the speed range on the RO 10 higher than on the RT 10?According to the data sheet, the speed range of the RO 10 extends up to 1,200 revolutions per minute instead of 1,000; this is a model-specific difference that exists independently of the lack of a heating function and may be useful for very low-viscosity media. Is the RO 10 suitable for use alongside a separate water bath?Yes, as it does not have its own heating function, the RO 10 can be combined well with a separately temperature-controlled water bath or circulating thermostat. Can the RO 10 be combined with an RT model? Both series of units can be operated independently of one another, for example where some workstations require heating whilst others only need stirring. How should the RO 10 be disposed of correctly? As an electrical appliance, it should be taken to a collection point for waste electrical and electronic equipment rather than disposed of with household waste; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is listed in the section on ‘Use, Installation, Maintenance and Disposal’.
