Product information "IKA R 1825 Plate Stand for RW 20 digital Stirrer, Height 560 mm, 0003160000"
An overhead stirrer such as the IKA RW 20 digital needs its own stand to hold the drive securely above the stirring vessel. The IKA R 1825 plate stand (MPN 0003160000) is the entry-level model in the IKA stand series for this purpose, with a stable base plate on which the stirring vessel itself can also stand.
With a rod height of 560 mm and a rod diameter of 16 mm, the stand has enough room to position the stirrer head above vessels of different heights, and takes up to 5 kg of load according to the manufacturer.

Promotional item of the IKA Specials Q4/2026, valid until 31 December 2026. The struck-through price is IKA's recommended retail price. Our promotional price is net.The IKA RW 20 digital stirrer (MPN 0003593000) is the digital further development of the proven RW 20 series and combines a mechanically controlled drive with an LED digital display for the speed. Anyone who regularly has to move stirring volumes of up to 20 litres of water in the laboratory and wants to switch between powerful, low-speed and fast, high-speed stirring will find a robust working tool for daily use here.Mechanical gearbox with two speed rangesThe RW 20 digital has a gearbox with two speed ranges that is switched manually by lever. Range I covers 60 to 500 rpm and delivers a high torque of up to 150 Ncm at the stirring shaft, suitable for highly viscous media of up to 10,000 mPas, pastes or larger volumes. Range II extends from 240 to 2,000 rpm and is suitable for low-viscosity media and fast dispersing. At a mains frequency of 50 hertz, the ranges are 60 to 500 rpm (range I) and 240 to 2,000 rpm (range II), and at 60 hertz correspondingly 72 to 600 rpm and 288 to 2,400 rpm. The maximum torque at the stirring shaft is 150 Ncm at 100 rpm and falls to 24 Ncm at 1,000 rpm; for a short time, an overload of up to 300 Ncm is even permissible at 60 1/min.Precision through LED digital displayWhile power transmission is mechanical, the integrated LED digital display on the front of the unit ensures a speed that can be read at any time and is reproducible. Setting is continuous, the setting accuracy is ±1 rpm, and the deviation of the speed measurement is ±30 rpm. The nominal torque of the drive is 1.5 Nm at a power consumption of 70 watts and an output power of 35 watts. The unit is designed for continuous operation at 100 percent duty cycle.Pass-through hollow shaft for flexible height adjustmentA practical detail in everyday laboratory work is the pass-through stirring shaft (hollow shaft) with an internal diameter of 10.5 millimetres. It makes it possible to adjust the height of the stirring tool in the chuck (clamping range 0.5 to 10 millimetres) without having to realign the entire stirrer on the stand. The shaft is adjusted at standstill only. The boss rod for mounting on the stand has a diameter of 13 millimetres and a length of 160 millimetres.Typical applicationsWith its high torque in the lower speed range and a stirring volume of up to 20 litres, the RW 20 digital is technically suited for:Universal stirring tasks in the laboratory with changing batch sizesHomogenising and dispersing medium-viscosity to higher-viscosity media of up to 10,000 mPasTeaching and industrial laboratories with frequently changing usersRoutine operation in which it is necessary to switch between powerful and fast stirringSelection guide: stirring mechanically or electronicallyWithin the IKA stirrer range, the RW 20 digital described here, with its mechanically controlled drive, is contrasted by the compact NANOSTAR 7.5 digital with electronic BLDC control. For stirring volumes of up to 20 litres, high torque in the lower speed range and robust continuous operation, the RW 20 digital is the right choice. If, on the other hand, no more than 5 litres are moved and a particularly compact, electronically controlled design is required, for example in tight space conditions in a fume hood, the NANOSTAR 7.5 digital is the more space-saving alternative.Differences from larger models of the RW seriesIf a stirring volume of 20 litres is not sufficient for the planned batch, IKA continues the mechanical RW series in larger sizes: the RW 28 digital for stirring volumes of up to 80 litres and the RW 47 digital for stirring volumes of up to 200 litres. For the majority of laboratory applications with batches of up to 20 litres, the RW 20 digital described here remains the more compact and more economical choice.Technical detailsMax. stirring volume (H2O)20 lMax. viscosity10,000 mPasSpeed controlmechanicalSpeed range I / II60 to 500 rpm / 240 to 2,000 rpm (at 50 Hz)Speed range I / II (60 Hz)72 to 600 rpm / 288 to 2,400 rpmSpeed setting methodcontinuousSetting accuracy / speed deviation±1 rpm / ±30 rpmSpeed displayLEDMotor power, input / output70 W / 35 WNominal torque1.5 NmMax. torque at the stirring shaft150 Ncm (at 100 rpm), 300 Ncm overload at 60 1/minTorque at the stirring shaft at 1,000 rpm24 NcmMax. power at the stirring shaft26 WPermissible duty cycle100 %Stirring tool mountingChuck, clamping range 0.5 to 10 mmHollow shaft, internal diameter10.5 mm, pass-through at standstillStand mountingBoss rod, Ø 13 mm, length 160 mmProtection classIP 20 according to DIN EN 60529Dimensions (W x H x D)88 x 294 x 212 mmWeight3.1 kgConnection values220 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, 72 W (other voltage variants 100 to 115 V available)Scope of delivery1 x RW 20 digital1 x chuck keyA stand and a cross clamp for mounting as well as a suitable stirring tool are required for operation but are not included in the scope of delivery.Use, installation, maintenance and disposalAccording to protection class IP 20, the RW 20 digital is protected against solid foreign objects from 12.5 millimetres, and contact with splashing water must be avoided. The switching lever for the two speed ranges should only be operated with the motor stopped, as should the height adjustment of the pass-through hollow shaft in the chuck. For a secure stand, a sufficiently heavy stand with a stable cross clamp is recommended, especially when using the high torque in the lower speed range. At the end of its service life, the unit as electrical equipment does not belong in household waste but in the separate collection of waste electrical equipment.Individual requirements & procurement serviceOperating the RW 20 digital requires a stand (for example an IKA base plate stand), a suitable cross clamp and a stirring tool matched to the application, for example propeller, turbine, anchor or dissolver stirrers. Through our procurement service , LT Laborhandel will gladly put together a suitable stirring set-up for you from our range of stirring and mixing technology .Frequently asked questionsIs a stand included in the scope of delivery? No, a stand, cross clamp and stirring tool are required for operation but are not included in the scope of delivery. What is the maximum stirring volume possible with the RW 20 digital?Up to 20 litres of water, at a maximum permissible viscosity of 10,000 mPas.How do you switch between the two speed ranges?Via a mechanical lever on the front of the unit, which should only be operated with the motor stopped. Can the stirring tool be adjusted in height without moving the stand?Yes, via the pass-through hollow shaft in the chuck, adjustable at standstill. Is there an electronically controlled model as an alternative? For more compact applications of up to 5 litres, the electronically controlled NANOSTAR 7.5 digital is suitable. What happens if the stirring shaft is overloaded? For a short time, an overload of up to 300 Ncm at the stirring shaft is permissible at 60 1/min; beyond that, the load should be reduced.
A batch of formulation in a beaker, an emulsion in a 500-millilitre flask, a batch of cell suspension for sample preparation: the T 25 digital ULTRA-TURRAX is the classic drive unit for all tasks in everyday laboratory work involving volumes between 1 millilitre and 2 litres. It covers a speed range from 3,000 to 25,000 revolutions per minute and is supplied as a drive unit only, without a dispersing tool, so that each laboratory can choose the appropriate tool geometry itself.Electronic speed control for reproducible batchesThe speed can be adjusted continuously between 3,000 and 25,000 rpm, with a deviation of just 1 per cent. An LED display shows the set value directly, whilst electronic overload protection and an error code display ensure reliable operation. Without an attachment fitted, the unit remains comparatively quiet at 75 dB(A); the maximum viscosity is 5,000 mPas. For batches that alternate between low- and medium-viscosity phases, the speed can be readjusted at any time during the process without switching off the unit.Compact drive for the laboratory benchMeasuring 87 x 271 x 106 millimetres and weighing 2.5 kilograms, the T 25 digital takes up little bench space; the arm measures 13 millimetres in diameter and 160 millimetres in length. The power input is 800 watts, whilst the power output is 500 watts. The unit operates at 220 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz; a voltage variant of 100 to 120 volts is also available. Protection class IP 20 in accordance with DIN EN 60529 and a permissible duty cycle of 100 per cent round off the key technical specifications; the permissible ambient temperature range is from 5 to 40 degrees Celsius with up to 80 per cent relative humidity.Assemble tools and stand as requiredAs no dispersing tool is supplied, each laboratory selects the geometry to suit the application: reusable stainless steel tools such as the S 25 N - 18 G - ST (Ident 0004447300) or the S 25 N - 25 G (Ident 0001713300), as well as disposable plastic tools in two sizes for applications where cross-contamination between samples must be ruled out. The S 25 KV – 25 G dissolver tool (Ident 0002466900) is suitable for more viscous media. For stationary operation, the R 1826 plate stand (ID 0003160100) with R 182 cross-sleeve (ID 0002657700) is available; for cleaning, the TS 25-3 Cleaning Tool (ID 0020003013) or the disposable tube S 18/25-ET50 (ID 0003452500) are suitable for cleaning.Typical applicationsHomogenisation of wastewater samples in environmental analysisDispersion tasks in laboratory reactorsWork under vacuum or pressure with suitable accessoriesSample preparation in medical researchSelection guide: individual drive unit or complete setIf you do not wish to put together the tool and stand separately, you will find the same technology, including accessories, in the T 25 digital Solution. For smaller tasks involving temperature measurement, the T 25 mini control ULTRA-TURRAX is the more compact alternative; for a housing design that is easier to clean, the T 25 easy clean digital is the choice. If the volume range of up to 2 litres is no longer sufficient for larger batches, the T 50 digital ULTRA-TURRAX handles volumes of up to 30 litres.Technical detailsMotor power input / output800 W / 500 WProcessing volume (H₂O)0.001 to 2 lMax. viscosity5,000 mPasSpeed range3,000 to 25,000 rpm, continuously variable (1 per cent deviation)Speed displayLEDNoise level (without tools)75 dB(A)Boom diameter / boom length13 mm / 160 mmProcess typebatchPermissible duty cycle100%Permissible ambient temperature range / humidity5 to 40 °C / 80 % (up to 31 °C), decreasing linearly to 50 % at 40 °CProtection classIP 20 in accordance with DIN EN 60529Rated power220 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, 800 W (additional voltage variant 100 to 120 V available)Dimensions (W x H x D)87 x 271 x 106 mmWeight2.5 kgContentsT 25 digital ULTRA-TURRAX drive unitA dispersing tool is not included and must be selected separately to suit the specific application.Regulatory informationThis device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Not every application requires the full power of the larger T 18 units. For those who mainly homogenise low-viscosity samples and have limited bench space in their fume cupboard, the T 18 mini digital ULTRA-TURRAX offers a compact drive unit from the same series, which is noticeably lighter and smaller than its brushless counterpart.Compact design, lower power ratingThe drive unit measures 66 x 186 x 100 millimetres and weighs 1.8 kilograms, meaning it can be accommodated even in confined spaces. The motor draws 210 watts and delivers 160 watts; as with the larger model, the processable volume ranges from 0.001 to 1.5 litres (H₂O), with a maximum viscosity of 2,000 mPas. This makes the unit particularly suitable for low-viscosity samples; for more viscous samples, the more powerful T 18 brushless digital, with a maximum viscosity of 5,000 mPas, is the more appropriate choice.Brushless motor with digital displayLike the larger models in the series, the T 18 mini digital operates with a brushless DC motor; the speed can be continuously adjusted between 3,000 and 25,000 revolutions per minute, with a tolerance of 3 per cent. The speed and timer are controlled via a digital display. The unit is powered by 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz; a USB-C interface connects it to a computer for remote control and documentation using labworldsoft.Tools from the S-18 seriesA dispersing tool is not included with the T 18 mini digital and must be selected to suit the application, for example as a reusable stainless steel tool such as the S 18 N - 10 G or S 18 N - 19 G, or as a disposable plastic tool such as the S 18 D - 10 G - KS and S 18 D - 14 G - KS for switching between samples without the need for cleaning. For stationary operation, plate stands from the R-1825 series with R 182 cross-sleeve are available; for securing the instrument during operation, the RH 3 clamping holder is used.Cost-effective alternative for routine tasksCompared to the T 18 brushless digital, the T 18 mini digital offers slightly less power reserve but is nevertheless suitable for most routine tasks involving low-viscosity samples, such as in training or for recurring standard processes. Its compact dimensions and low weight of 1.8 kilograms make it easy to move between multiple workstations, without the need for a separate unit at each location.Typical applicationsHomogenisation of low-viscosity samples in a limited footprintSimple emulsification and dispersion tasks in routine work and trainingMobile use between multiple workstations thanks to its compact designReproducible short runs with a timerSelection guide: mini, brushless or with temperature measurement? If the power of the T 18 mini digital is insufficient – for example, with higher viscosities or larger batches – the T 18 brushless digital, with 400 watts and a range of up to 5,000 mPas, is the more powerful alternative; it is also available as the T 18 brushless digital Solution, complete with tool and stand. For those who also need to monitor the sample temperature during dispersion, this function is available in the T-25 series, for example in the T 25 mini control ULTRA-TURRAX.Technical detailsMotor power input / output210 W / 160 WProcessable volume (H₂O)0.001 to 1.5 lMax. viscosity2,000 mPasSpeed range3,000 to 25,000 rpm, continuously variable (tolerance 3 %)Speed displayDigital displayMotor typebrushless, direct currentNoise level without tools75 dB(A)Extension arm diameter / extension arm length13 mm / 160 mmDuty cycle100 %Protection classIP 30 in accordance with DIN EN 60529USB interfaceUSB-CPower rating100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, 210 W (max. 250 W, standby 3 W), 48 V= / 4,500 mADimensions (W x H x D)66 x 186 x 100 mmWeight1.8 kgPermissible ambient temperature / humidity5 to 40 °C / 80 %ContentsT 18 mini digital ULTRA-TURRAX drive unitAccording to the manufacturer, a mixing tool is expressly not included in the scope of delivery and must be selected separately from the S-18 series range of accessories.Regulatory informationThe unit is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). The IKA EUROSTAR 40 digital overhead stirrer (MPN 0020105155) represents the modernised, highly optimised mechatronic generation of universal laboratory stirrers for more demanding routine tasks in the higher viscosity range. With a footprint reduced by up to 23 per cent compared to its predecessors, this powerhouse boasts exceptional functional density within a minimal footprint. Designed for sample volumes of up to 25 litres (based on water), the system handles viscosities of up to 30,000 mPas with complete reliability. It thus offers the ideal process engineering system solution for demanding mixing processes, homogenisation and reproducible test series in a professional B2B laboratory environment. Innovative torque trend measurement for viscosity monitoring An outstanding metrological feature of the digital series is the integrated torque trend measurement. The system detects transient changes in the medium’s viscosity with a precision of ±6 Ncm and displays the relative viscosity trend directly on the clear LCD display. This provides laboratory staff with valuable insights into the current state of the mixing process at all times. Thanks to a sophisticated automatic speed adjustment system covering a wide range from 30 to 2000 revolutions per minute, the stirrer maintains the selected speed absolutely constant even during transient changes in viscosity, thereby ensuring error-free results. Ergonomic tool change and high operational safety From a process engineering perspective, the EUROSTAR 40 digital is consistently designed for maximum user-friendliness and process reliability in daily continuous operation. The integrated quick-release chuck allows the user to change stirring tools comfortably with one hand, without the need for any additional tools. A dedicated lock button protects the running system from accidental parameter changes by the user. To reliably prevent mechanical damage or hazardous situations, the stirring drive features autonomous safety circuits which trigger an immediate automatic shutdown in the event of an overload or blockage of the stirring element. Future-proof connectivity and robust housing design The system’s infrastructure architecture enables straightforward integration into digitised laboratory workstations. Equipped with standard USB-C and RS232 interfaces, the overhead stirrer can be seamlessly connected to a PC and fully controlled and comprehensively documented via the labworldsoft laboratory software ®. The mechanically robust housing consists of a combination of coated die-cast aluminium and sturdy thermoplastic, which meets the demanding IP 54 protection rating. The brushless DC motor operates with virtually no wear, is whisper-quiet (52 dBA) and completely clean, meaning the system is fully qualified for a 100 per cent duty cycle in continuous operation. Anyone who frequently homogenises samples in the laboratory will be familiar with the problem: a good drive alone is not enough; ultimately, it is the right tool that determines the final fineness and throughput. The IKA T 18 digital ULTRA-TURRAX (0003720000) is designed precisely with this in mind. It is supplied as a drive unit only, with a power consumption of 500 watts, which can be freely combined with various S-18 tools for coarse, fine or single-use applications. The LED display shows the set speed – between 3,000 and 25,000 revolutions per minute – at all times, which facilitates reproducible results across multiple test runs. Rotor-stator principle with high shear rates During dispersion, the tool draws the sample in axially and forces it out radially through the narrow slots between the rotor and stator. This briefly generates very high shear rates, which break down solid components and mix liquids into stable emulsions or suspensions. With an output power of 300 watts and a processable volume of 0.001 to 1.5 litres (based on water), the T 18 digital covers typical laboratory batches up to a maximum viscosity of 5,000 mPas. Stepless speed control with LED display The speed can be adjusted continuously between 3,000 and 25,000 rpm, with a deviation of just 1 per cent according to the data sheet. Unlike purely analogue controllers, the LED display shows the set value directly. Once process parameters have been determined, they can be noted down and reproduced exactly for subsequent experiments. With a permissible duty cycle of 100 per cent, prolonged continuous operation is also possible without the drive having to pause in between. The choice of tool determines the result The T 18 digital is deliberately supplied without a dispersing tool, as the most suitable tool depends heavily on the specific sample. The standard S 18 N – 19 G tool with PTFE bearings is suitable for coarse pre-shredding and tougher media, whilst the S 18 N – 10 G offers a narrower gap geometry for finer end products. Those who frequently work with varying samples that are potentially susceptible to contamination will find disposable plastic tools to be a practical alternative, as they rule out cross-contamination between batches from the outset. Typical areas of application As a standalone drive unit, the T 18 digital is particularly suitable for laboratories that already work with a variety of tools or switch specifically between several applications: Preparation of emulsions and suspensions in sample preparation Homogenisation of tissue samples in biology and life sciences research Mixing pigments and fillers into dispersions Routine tasks in quality assurance with varying tool configurations Setting up customised workstations through flexible combination with a stand and tool Selection guide for the T-18 range Drive unit only, complete set or just the tool? The four T-18 variants stocked by LT Laborhandel differ primarily in terms of what is included in the scope of delivery and, in the case of the mini-drive, in terms of motor power. Differences from the neighbouring series If you also require a brushless motor with a timer, the IKA T 18 brushless series offers the next step up: the T 18 brushless digital ULTRA-TURRAX as a drive unit without an attachment, or the T 18 brushless digital Solution as a complete set. Both drive units operate with lower wear than the classic T 18 digital. An overview of all dispersers available from LT Laborhandel can be found in the ‘Dispersers’ category; suitable tools are listed under ‘Dispersing Tools’. Application, set-up and maintenance For short-term manual operation, the T 18 digital fits comfortably in the hand; for longer or reproducible processes, it can be securely mounted on a stand, such as the R 1826 plate stand. Operation is permitted at an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of up to 80 per cent at 31 degrees Celsius, decreasing linearly to a maximum of 50 per cent at 40 degrees Celsius. The drive, with protection class IP 20, is not designed for use in damp rooms or outdoors. After each use, the tool used should be dismantled and, depending on the material, cleaned or sterilised before the next procedure begins. At the end of its service life, as an electrical appliance, the drive must not be disposed of with household waste but must be placed in the separate collection for waste electrical and electronic equipment. Individual requirements & procurement service In addition to the standard tools, LT Laborhandel supplies further accessories for the T 18 digital, such as stands, mounting elements or the Silentstream flow breaker to reduce air ingress during dispersion. Do you require a specific tool, a qualification document or assistance in selecting the right configuration? Through our procurement service, LT Laborhandel can assist you with procurement and configuration. Frequently Asked Questions Is a dispersing tool included in the scope of delivery? No, the T 18 digital is supplied exclusively as a drive unit. A suitable tool, such as the S 18 N - 19 G, must be purchased separately. Which tool is suitable for coarse pre-grinding?For coarse applications and tougher media, the S 18 N - 19 G with PTFE bearings is the standard choice; finer end products can be achieved with the S 18 N - 10 G. How accurately can the speed be reproduced? The LED display shows the set value within a range of 3,000 to 25,000 rpm with a deviation of around 1 per cent, which facilitates the exact repetition of test series. Is a stand included in the scope of delivery? No; for continuous operation, we recommend a separately available stand such as the R 1826 plate stand. What is the difference between the T 18 digital and the T 18 mini digital Solution? The T 18 mini digital Solution features a more compact, brushless drive with lower motor power and comes as a set including the tool and stand; the T 18 digital described here is the more powerful drive unit without accessories.
