The RV 10 auto pro V-C Complete is the fully equipped, all-in-one solution from the RV-10-auto-pro range: drive unit, heating bath, VACSTAR digital vacuum pump, coated vertical glass set and RC 2 lite recirculating cooler are all included in a single order item. Unlike the RV 8 series, a motorised lift handles the piston movement here, whilst a TFT colour graphic display and an integrated vacuum controller automatically regulate the vacuum and cooling water flow. Anyone wishing to set up a laboratory workstation without having to procure peripheral equipment separately, whilst relying on automated process control, will find that this set offers the highest specification level of IKA rotary evaporators.

TFT display and automated vacuum control

The TFT colour graphic display guides the user through programming; ramp functions, a timer, a soft start and alternating clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation in interval mode protect sensitive samples. The integrated vacuum controller automatically regulates the vacuum and cooling water flow and automatically detects the boiling point; an adjustable cleaning cycle reduces the maintenance interval. The control range extends from 1050 to 1 millibar with a measurement accuracy of ±1 millibar. USB and RS-232 interfaces are available for remote control via labworldsoft and for firmware updates.

Vacuum pump and recirculating chiller as a set

According to the manufacturer, the VACSTAR digital vacuum pump achieves a minimum vacuum of 2 millibars and is controlled directly by the drive unit via a data cable; automatic boiling-point detection continuously adjusts the vacuum during distillation. The RC 2 lite recirculating cooler cools down to minus 10 degrees Celsius with a cooling capacity of 400 watts, operates with a pressure and suction pump at 0.35 bar, filters through a stainless steel mesh filter and runs on the natural refrigerant R290.

Motorised lift and coated glassware set

The motorised lift, with a stroke of 140 millimetres, automatically raises the evaporator flask out of the heating bath in the event of a power cut via the safety-stop function. Individually adjustable safety temperature circuits, dry-run protection and an adjustable end-position detection system provide additional protection against glass breakage. The coated RV 10.10 vertical glass assembly, featuring three cooling coils, makes efficient use of the 1,500 square centimetre cooling surface via a specially developed glass guide.

Warranty and procurement service

The IKA manufacturer’s warranty applies to the drive unit and the heating bath: 2 years, extended to 5 years upon registration at ika.com/register within 90 days of purchase. The IKA ‘2+1’ warranty applies to the VACSTAR digital and RC 2 lite peripherals included in the set; upon registration, this is 3 years instead of 5. For a second condenser, replacement glass or a more powerful cooler, LT Laborhandel’s procurement service will put together the appropriate package.
