The RV 10 digital pro V double Complete provides two complete rotary evaporator drive units at a single workstation, allowing them to share a common set of peripherals: an HB digital heating bath, a VACSTAR digital vacuum pump and an RC 2 GREEN basic recirculating chiller. Each of the two drive units has its own VC 10 pro vacuum controller; according to the manufacturer, a single vacuum source is sufficient to supply both evaporators. For laboratories carrying out parallel experiments or training institutions, the set halves the procurement costs for the pump, heating bath and cooler compared with two separate individual sets.
Two drive units, one vacuum circuit
Both RV 10 digital V drive units feature a motorised lift with a 140-millimetre stroke and a safety-stop function, which automatically lifts the evaporator flask out of the heating bath in the event of a power cut. Individually adjustable safety temperature circuits protect both evaporators independently of one another. The speed per drive unit ranges from 5 to 280 revolutions per minute, whilst the heating bath temperature can reach up to 180 degrees Celsius.
VACSTAR digital and VC 10 pro per evaporator
The VACSTAR digital vacuum pump achieves a minimum vacuum of 2 millibars and supplies both drive units jointly. Each unit has its own VC 10 pro vacuum controller for individual process control. The RC 2 GREEN basic recirculating chiller cools both evaporators simultaneously and operates using the natural refrigerant R290.

Within the digital range, this set differs from the single Complete variant in that it features two drive units instead of one and an uncoated glass set instead of a coated one. Warranty and procurement service
The IKA manufacturer’s warranty applies to both drive units and the heating bath: 2 years, extended to 5 years upon registration at ika.com/register within 90 days of purchase. For the VACSTAR digital vacuum pump, both VC 10 pro vacuum controllers and the RC 2 GREEN basic recirculating chiller, the 2+1 warranty level applies; upon registration, this is 3 years instead of 5.
