With a capacity of 749 litres, the Memmert IF750 incubator is the largest model in the IF series and is mounted on a castor base that can be moved and locked in place. The door is double-leaf, and up to 14 shelves can be accommodated with a maximum total load of 300 kg. The setting range, with forced air circulation, is from +20 to +80 °C.
Construction, chassis and air circulation
Inside, the IF750 features deep-drawn ribbing and is heated on four sides; the unit stands on a mobile and lockable castor base. A low-noise turbine circulates the air, adjustable in 10 % increments, whilst the exhaust air flap mixes in preheated fresh air.
Control and timer functions
The temperature is measured by a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor using a 4-wire measurement method; the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The SingleDISPLAY-ControlCOCKPIT control panel allows you to set programme duration, time zones and summer and winter time; three temperature values can be freely calibrated.
Safety and door lock
A mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, switches off the heating when the temperature exceeds the maximum cabinet temperature by approximately 20 °C. The two fully insulated stainless steel doors, each with an inner glass door, are secured by a two-point locking mechanism.
The largest chamber in the series
With 14 possible shelves and an internal volume of 749 litres, the IF750 is designed for very large sample quantities or multiple parallel batches. If such a large volume is not required, the IF450 with 449 litres, up to eight shelves and a similarly mobile and lockable housing is the next smaller alternative in the series.
