Memmert IF450 incubator, 449 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY

With an internal capacity of 449 litres, the Memmert IF450 incubator offers significantly more space than the smaller IF models and is mounted on a base with castors that can be moved and locked in place. The door is double-leaf; the setting range, with forced air circulation, is from +20 to +80 °C for a total load of up to 300 kg.

Design, air circulation and chassis

The deep-drawn, ribbed interior of the IF450 is heated all round; externally, the unit stands on a mobile and lockable castor base. The low-noise turbine circulates the air, adjustable in 10 % increments, whilst an exhaust air flap mixes in preheated fresh air.

Controls and diagnostics

The temperature is measured by a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor using a 4-wire measurement; the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C; the IF450 is operated via the SingleDISPLAY ControlCOCKPIT. A self-diagnostic system assists with troubleshooting; the data logger is read out and managed via the Ethernet interface.

Safety and double door

A mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. The two fully insulated stainless steel doors, each with an inner glass door, are secured by a two-point locking mechanism.

Increased capacity and castors

The IF450 has eight possible shelves, each with a permissible load of 30 kg; the total permissible load is 300 kg. For those requiring less capacity, the IF260 offers a smaller alternative with 256 litres and up to nine shelves; for even larger sample quantities with up to 14 shelves, the IF750, which is also mobile and lockable, is available with a capacity of 749 litres.

With an internal volume of 449 litres and a double-leaf door, the IF450 is suitable as an incubator for incubating and temperature-controlling large sample quantities in research, medicine, pharmacy, food analysis and food chemistry.
