The IN260plus offers an internal capacity of 256 litres and a maximum of nine shelves, more than any smaller model in the IN-plus range featuring TwinDISPLAY. Weighing around 110 kilograms net, the unit is installed with a clearance from the wall, just like the smaller models; it comes as standard without castors, though a castor frame can be ordered as a factory option. Control is via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two Pt100 sensors in the range +20 to +80 °C.
Design for larger batches
Natural convection mixes in preheated fresh air via an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap; the exhaust air outlet with throttle valve is electronically controllable. The interior is reinforced with deep-drawn ribbing and features a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system. Those requiring forced air circulation instead of natural convection will find the same size model in the IF-plus series.
ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY
The ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, featuring two TFT colour graphic displays, evaluates data from two DIN Class A Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire measurement configuration, which monitor each other; the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. HeatBALANCE distributes the heating power between the upper and lower heating groups within a range of -50 to +50 %; programmes are transferred via Ethernet and USB using the AtmoCONTROL software.
Multi-stage temperature monitoring
The display allows selection between an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2, AutoSAFETY supplements these levels with over- and under-temperature monitoring, which tracks the setpoint at a freely selectable interval and issues both visual and audible warnings. At the lowest level, a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. The permanently installed programme performs internal sterilisation over 4 hours at 160 °C; the contents of the cabinet are not sterilised during this process.
Selection guide for the right size
With nine shelves, the IN260plus offers the most shelf spaces of all models below the large mobile units, making it suitable for users for whom the IN160plus, with its 161-litre capacity, has become too small. If even larger batches are required, the table below lists the mobile IN450plus with a capacity of 449 litres; however, it has only eight shelves instead of nine.

The IN260plus can be ordered ex-works with, amongst other things, interior lighting and a socket, a left-hand door hinge and a 4-20 mA interface. We also offer a USB user ID stick, reinforced grid shelves up to 60 kilograms, a wall bracket and an Ethernet cable. For qualification and requalification, we arrange calibration and IQ/OQ services.
