With 449 litres of internal volume, the Memmert universal oven UN450m is a floor-standing device with a mobile, lockable housing on castors. As a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, it is used for heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy, and two stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard.
Control and sensors
The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY handles control with a Pt100 sensor of DIN class A in 4-wire measurement and a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. The setting temperature range extends from +20 to +300 °C, and the digital countdown timer can be set from 1 minute to 99 days. The SetpointWAIT function starts the process time only after the setpoint temperature has been reached.
Safety
A mechanical temperature limiter TB of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 disconnects the heating around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, backed up by an adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and a self-diagnosis system. Convection is natural, and an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap admixes preheated fresh air.
Housing and connection
The housing is designed to be mobile and lockable on castors. The UN450m is connected at 400 V and 3 x 230 V without neutral conductor, 50/60 Hz, at approx. 5,800 W. Up to eight shelves carry 300 kg together, at 30 kg per shelf. The internal dimensions are 1,040 x 720 x 600 mm, the external dimensions 1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mm, and the net weight is around 161 kg.
Distinction from the laboratory oven
Without a medical intended purpose, we offer the Memmert universal oven UN450 in the same chamber size, for laboratory and industry. Within the medical device line, the UN450m is also available as the UN450mplus with two displays for control.
Choosing a model
The next smaller UN260m offers 256 litres with nine shelves, but without a mobile housing and with a permissible load of 20 kg instead of 30 kg per shelf. Anyone who needs more volume will find the UN750m, with 749 litres and 14 shelves, to be the next larger version.
