The Memmert universal oven UN30m is the smallest model in the UN-m series and a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. The intended purpose is heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With 32 litres of internal volume and an internal width of 400 mm, the device is supplied as standard with one stainless steel grid shelf, and up to three shelves are possible.
Control and sensors
The UN30m is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. A Pt100 sensor of DIN class A with 4-wire measurement records the temperature, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a set temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. The setting temperature range extends from +20 to +300 °C. A digital countdown timer with target time indication can be set from 1 minute to 99 days, and the SetpointWAIT function only starts the process time once the set temperature has been reached. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated, and the temperature can be displayed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Air circulation
The UN30m ventilates without a forced air circulation fan, and convection is purely natural. An electronically adjustable exhaust air flap mixes in pre-heated fresh air, and the exhaust air port is equipped with an electronically adjustable throttle valve.
Safety
An adjustable electronic temperature monitor works together with a mechanical temperature limiter TB of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, which switches the heating off at approx. 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. A self-diagnosis system assists with fault finding. The interior made of easy-care stainless steel is stiffened by deep-drawn ribbing and equipped with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating, and the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel.
Loading, connection and dimensions
A total load of 60 kg is permitted at 20 kg per shelf, and one electropolished stainless steel grid shelf is included as standard. The connection is 230 V with approx. 1,600 W or 115 V with approx. 1,600 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. The internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm and the external dimensions 585 x 704 x 434 mm, with a net weight of approx. 45 kg. The data logger can be read out, managed and organised via an Ethernet interface, and a USB stick with AtmoCONTROL software is available as an accessory if required.
Distinction from the laboratory oven
For applications without a medical intended purpose, such as drying and annealing in laboratories and industry, we offer the Memmert universal oven UN30 in the same chamber size. Within the medical device line, the UN30mplus is also available as a version with two displays for control.
Selection guide
The UN30m is the smallest size in the UN-m series. Anyone who needs more volume or more shelves will find the next larger version in the UN55m with 53 litres, four shelves and 80 kg total load.
