With 53 litres of internal volume, the Memmert universal oven UN55m is one size above the smallest model in the series. As a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, it is used for heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. The internal dimensions of 400 x 400 x 330 mm offer more usable height than the UN30m, and one stainless steel grid shelf is included as standard.

Natural convection
The UN55m ventilates without a forced air circulation fan, unlike the UF-m model of the same size, which has an electronically adjustable forced air circulation turbine. The exhaust air port is equipped with an electronically adjustable throttle valve, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated.
Safety and self-diagnosis
At approx. 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, the mechanical temperature limiter TB of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches the heating off, and an adjustable electronic temperature monitor runs in parallel. Faults are reported by a self-diagnosis system. The interior is made of easy-care stainless steel stiffened by deep-drawn ribbing with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating, and the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel.
Loading, connection and dimensions
A total load of 80 kg is permitted at 20 kg per shelf, and up to four shelves fit in the housing. The UN55m is connected at 230 V with approx. 2,000 W or at 115 V with approx. 1,700 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. The external dimensions are 585 x 784 x 514 mm and the net weight is approx. 57 kg. Packed, the unit weighs approx. 76 kg, with packaging dimensions of 730 x 950 x 670 mm.
Distinction from the laboratory oven
Without a medical intended purpose, such as for drying and annealing in laboratories and industry, we offer the same chamber volume as the Memmert universal oven UN55. In the medical device line, the UN55m is also available as the UN55mplus with two displays for control.
Selection guide
If 53 litres are not enough, the UN75m follows with 74 litres, six shelves and 120 kg total load. For a more compact footprint, the UN30m is suitable, with 32 litres, three shelves and 60 kg total load.
