The Memmert universal oven UN75m has 74 litres of internal volume with an internal height of 560 mm and is equipped as standard with two stainless steel grid shelves. The unit is a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 with the intended purpose of heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy.
Control and sensors
The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY controls via an adaptive multifunctional digital PID microprocessor with a TFT colour graphic display. A Pt100 sensor of DIN class A measures using 4-wire technology, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C setpoint temperature and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. The digital countdown timer covers 1 minute to 99 days, and SetpointWAIT starts the process time only once the setpoint temperature has been reached. Three temperature values can be freely calibrated.
Natural convection
Instead of a forced air circulation fan, an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap admixes preheated fresh air, and the exhaust air port is fitted with an electronically controllable throttle flap. The internal and external dimensions are 400 x 560 x 330 mm and 585 x 944 x 514 mm respectively.
Safety
If the cabinet temperature reaches a value of around 20 °C above the maximum, the mechanical temperature limiter TB (protection class 1 according to DIN 12880) disconnects the heating. Adjustable electronic temperature monitoring runs alongside it, and a self-diagnosis system finds faults. The interior made of easy-care stainless steel is stiffened by deep-drawn ribbing, and the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel back panel.
Loading and connection
Up to six shelves together take 120 kg, with a maximum of 20 kg per shelf. Connection is at 230 V with approx. 2,500 W or at 115 V with approx. 1,800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. Packed, the UN75m weighs around 85 kg with packaging dimensions of 730 x 1,130 x 670 mm, and the net weight is around 66 kg.
Distinction from the laboratory oven
Without a medical intended purpose, we offer the Memmert universal oven UN75 in the same chamber size for drying and tempering in laboratories and industry. Within the medical device line, the UN75mplus is available as a version with two displays for control.
Selection guide
The next smaller UN55m offers 53 litres with four shelves and an 80 kg total load, and the next larger UN110m reaches 108 litres, five shelves and a 175 kg total load.
