The Memmert UN450plus universal oven stands on castors that can be moved and locked, and with 449 litres of interior it offers the second-largest volume of the UN-plus series. Up to eight shelves can be loaded at the same time, and it is connected with 400 V and 3 x 230 V at approx. 5,800 W. The net weight is around 161 kg.
Floor-standing unit with a large interior
The unit measures 1,040 x 720 x 600 mm internally and 1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mm externally plus 56 mm for the door handle. The stainless steel doors are fully insulated and have 2-point locking with a compression door seal. Two stainless steel grid shelves are part of the standard equipment, and up to 300 kg total load is permitted with a maximum of 30 kg per shelf.
Sensors and control
Two DIN class A Pt100 sensors monitor each other in 4-wire measurement and automatically take over the function of the other in the event of a fault. On the ControlCOCKPIT with two TFT colour graphic displays, the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C setpoint temperature and 0.5 °C above that. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated, and programmes are created and managed via Ethernet or USB with AtmoCONTROL.
Temperature protection for large batches
A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating approx. 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature, and an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can additionally be selected on the display. AutoSAFETY follows the setpoint at a freely selectable distance and triggers a visual and audible alarm when the temperature exceeds or falls below it. HeatBALANCE shifts the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group by -50 to +50 per cent, and a self-diagnosis system supports fault finding.
Guide to choosing the right size
If a single-phase connection and a smaller volume are sufficient, the UN260plus with 256 litres and 230 V technology is the more compact alternative without the need for a three-phase supply.
