With 256 litres of interior and up to nine shelves, the Memmert UN260plus universal oven offers the largest volume of the UN-plus series that still manages with a single-phase 230 V connection. Two DIN class A Pt100 sensors monitor each other in 4-wire measurement and automatically take over the function of the other in the event of a fault. Heating is by natural convection alone, without an air turbine, and the setting temperature range extends from +20 to +300 °C.
Safety technology and HeatBALANCE
A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 forms the first level and switches off at around 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature. Selectable on the display in addition are an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2. AutoSAFETY automatically follows the setpoint at a freely selectable distance and reports deviations visually and audibly, and HeatBALANCE allows fine adjustment of the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group from -50 to +50 per cent. A self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding.
Interior for larger batches
The interior measures 640 x 800 x 500 mm and is deep-drawn ribbed with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating, and the external dimensions are 824 x 1,183 x 684 mm plus 56 mm for the door handle. Two stainless steel grid shelves are part of the standard equipment, and a total load of up to 300 kg is permitted with a maximum of 20 kg per shelf.
Control and connection
The oven is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. Programming and documentation are done via the Ethernet interface or USB port with the AtmoCONTROL software, and the programme sequence is retained in the event of a power failure. The UN260plus is connected with 230 V at approx. 3,400 W, and 115 V at approx. 1,800 W is available as a factory option at no extra charge.
Guide to choosing the right size
If the batches get even larger, the UN450plus with 449 litres offers considerably more internal volume, but with a 400 V three-phase connection and a mobile housing, see the size table below. If floor space is limited, the smaller UN160plus with 161 litres is the obvious alternative.
