The Memmert universal oven UN75mplus is classified as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, and its intended purpose is the heating and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. The interior holds 74 litres and takes up to six shelves, and two stainless steel grid shelves are part of the standard equipment.
Sensors and setting accuracy
Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A measure using 4-wire technology and back each other up: if one sensor fails, the second automatically takes over its task. Display is via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C above that. HeatBALANCE shifts the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group by -50 to +50 %, and a digital countdown timer covers target times from 1 minute to 99 days.
Safety technology
The mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 disconnects the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum permissible cabinet temperature, and an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can also be activated on the display. AutoSAFETY reports deviations from the setpoint within a freely selectable distance visually and audibly, and a self-diagnosis system assists with troubleshooting. Programs are managed via Ethernet or USB with the AtmoCONTROL software.
Dimensions, loading and connection
Internally, the UN75mplus measures 400 x 560 x 330 mm and externally 585 x 944 x 514 mm plus 56 mm for the door handle, and the net weight is around 66 kg. The permissible total load is 120 kg with a maximum of 20 kg per shelf. The mains connection is 230 V with approx. 2,500 W, and 115 V with approx. 1,800 W is available as an alternative.
Distinction from the laboratory oven and the SingleDISPLAY version
For laboratories and industry without a medical intended purpose, the Memmert universal oven UN75plus with TwinDISPLAY is available in the same size. If you are looking for a SingleDISPLAY with one Pt100 sensor instead of redundant dual sensors, the UN75m is available as a Class I medical device with the same intended purpose.
Selection guide: the right size
With 53 litres, four shelves and a housing 160 mm lower, the UN55mplus is the smaller alternative. If more volume is needed, the Memmert universal oven UN110mplus offers 108 litres and a 175 kg total load with five shelves.
