The RV 10 digital pro V-C Complete combines a motorised lift and an RS-232 interface for remote control via labworldsoft into a complete set: The drive unit, HB digital heating bath, VACSTAR digital vacuum pump with VC 10 lite vacuum controller and RC 2 lite recirculating chiller are all supplied in a single order. Unlike the auto-line, there is no integrated controller to regulate the vacuum automatically; instead, the separate VC 10 lite takes on this task. Anyone looking for a digitally controlled RV-10 complete set without the top-of-the-range auto-line configuration will find this set to be the manually configurable alternative.

Motorised lift and safety features

The motorised lift, with a stroke of 140 millimetres, automatically raises the evaporating flask out of the heating bath via the safety-stop function in the event of a power cut. Individually adjustable safety temperature circuits, dry-run protection and adjustable end-position detection provide additional protection against glass breakage. A soft start and alternating right-left rotation in interval mode protect sensitive samples, whilst a timer function controls the distillation timings.

Vacuum pump, condenser and glassware set

The VACSTAR digital vacuum pump achieves a minimum vacuum of 2 millibars and is controlled via the supplied VC 10 lite vacuum controller, which accepts setpoints manually or via a programme and also controls the recirculating chiller. The coated RV 10.10 vertical glass set utilises the cooling surface area of 1,500 square centimetres via a specially developed glass guide. The RC 2 lite cools to minus 10 °C at 0.35 bar with a cooling capacity of 400 watts via a stainless steel mesh filter, using the natural refrigerant R290. The heating bath is controlled via an infrared interface from the control unit.

Warranty and procurement service

The IKA manufacturer’s warranty applies to the drive unit and the heating bath: 2 years, extended to 5 years upon registration at ika.com/register within 90 days of purchase. For the VACSTAR digital vacuum pump, VC 10 lite vacuum controller and RC 2 lite recirculating chiller, the 2+1 warranty level applies; upon registration, this is 3 years instead of 5.
