Product information "Memmert IN110plus incubator, 108 L, +20 to +80 °C, TwinDISPLAY"
The IN110plus has a capacity of 108 litres with a maximum of five shelves, two of which are fitted as standard, and weighs around 76 kilograms net. The smaller IN75plus, with a capacity of 74 litres, offers as many as six shelves, one more than the larger IN110plus. Temperature control is managed via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two Pt100 sensors, operating within a range of +20 to +80 °C.
Design and air flow
An electronically adjustable exhaust air flap introduces preheated fresh air, whilst the exhaust air outlet with a throttle valve is electronically controllable. The interior is reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing and features a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system. The IF-plus series of the same size, by contrast, operates with forced air circulation rather than natural convection.
HeatBALANCE and sensor technology
HeatBALANCE adjusts the distribution of heating output between the upper and lower heating groups from -50 to +50 %. Control is via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays; two DIN Class A Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire configuration monitor each other reciprocally. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. Programmes can be managed and transferred via Ethernet or USB using the AtmoCONTROL software.
Safety and internal sterilisation
A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 serves as a safety measure; it switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. An adjustable temperature monitor (protection class 3.1) or an adjustable temperature limiter (protection class 2) can also be selected on the display. AutoSAFETY monitors instances where the temperature exceeds or falls below the setpoint at freely selectable intervals and signals these both visually and acoustically; the sterilisation programme sterilises the interior, not the contents, at 160 °C within 4 hours.
Selection guide for the right size
If the smaller IN75plus, with a capacity of 74 litres, is no longer sufficient, the IN110plus offers an internal volume of 108 litres, albeit with a maximum of five shelves instead of six. If sample volumes increase further, the table below lists the IN160plus with a 161-litre capacity and eight shelves.
