The IN55plus has a capacity of 53 litres and, unlike the smaller IN30plus, also features the HeatBALANCE function for fine-tuning the distribution of heating power. Two Pt100 sensors monitor each other, whilst control is managed via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY within the range of +20 to +80 °C.
Design and air flow
Natural convection mixes in preheated fresh air via an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap; the exhaust air outlet with throttle valve is electronically controllable. The interior is reinforced with deep-drawn ribbing and features a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system. Those requiring forced air circulation instead of natural convection will find the same size in the IF-plus series.
Control via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY
HeatBALANCE adjusts the distribution of heating output between the upper and lower heating groups from -50 to +50 %, controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays and two DIN Class A Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire measurement configuration. Programmes are managed via Ethernet or USB using AtmoCONTROL; the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C.
Safety and sterilisation programme
A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 forms the first level of protection and switches off at approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. Additionally, an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can be selected; AutoSAFETY signals deviations from the setpoint visually and acoustically. A permanently installed sterilisation programme (4 hours at 160 °C) sterilises the interior of the cabinet, not the contents.
Selection guide for the right size
If the 32-litre IN30plus is no longer sufficient, the 53-litre IN55plus offers more capacity and the additional HeatBALANCE feature. If even more space is required, the 74-litre IN75plus is the next option in the size chart below.

With a 53-litre capacity, the IN55plus is suitable for incubating and temperature-controlling samples in the range from +20 to +80 °C, including in research applications.
