Memmert Incubator IF30mplus, 32 l, +20 to +80 °C, TwinDISPLAY

The Memmert Incubator Im IF30mplus is a class I medical device according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is used to temper irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media. With 32 litres of internal volume, it is the smallest size in the IF-mplus series. One stainless steel grid shelf is supplied as standard, and up to three shelves are possible.

ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY and sensors

Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A monitor each other in 4-wire measurement and automatically take over the function of the other in case of failure. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C, the setting temperature range extends from +20 to +80 °C, and the working temperature range starts at least 10 °C above room temperature. Control is via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays. The digital countdown timer with target time display can be set from 1 minute to 99 days, and the SetpointWAIT function starts the process time only after the set temperature has been reached. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated.

Safety and interior

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature. An adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can also be selected on the display. The AutoSAFETY function automatically follows the set point at a freely selectable offset, triggers a visual and audible alarm in case of deviation and switches off the heating if the set point is exceeded. A self-diagnosis system assists with fault finding. A fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking (compression door lock) and an inner glass door close the chamber, and the stainless steel interior is stiffened by deep-drawn ribbing and heated all round. The permanently installed sterilisation program (4 h at 160 °C) is used for sterilising the interior and is not intended for sterilising load items.

Ventilation, connection and dimensions

The electronically controllable air turbine runs quietly and can be set in 10 % steps. Preheated fresh air is admitted via the electronically adjustable exhaust air flap, and the exhaust air outlet has an electronically controllable throttle valve. The IF30mplus is connected at 230 V at approx. 1,600 W or at 115 V at approx. 800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. The internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm and the external dimensions 585 x 704 x 434 mm with a net weight of around 48 kg. A total load of 60 kg at 20 kg per shelf is permitted.

Distinction from the SingleDISPLAY and the laboratory unit

As a class I medical device with SingleDISPLAY and only one Pt100 sensor, we carry the IF30m, which has a different intended purpose: warming and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. The IF30mplus, by contrast, has the TwinDISPLAY with the two mutually monitoring sensors and the adjustable temperature monitor or limiter that can be selected on the display. Without a medical intended purpose, but with TwinDISPLAY and the same chamber size, we also carry the laboratory incubator IF30plus.

Choosing the right chamber size

The IF30mplus is the smallest size in the mplus series, and Memmert does not offer a smaller chamber in this line. Those who need more volume or more shelves will find the next size up in the IF55mplus with 53 litres and up to four shelves.
