Memmert Incubator IF30m, 32 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY

With 32 litres, the Memmert Incubator Im IF30m is the smallest chamber in the IF-m series. Like all models in this series, it is a class I medical device according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745, and its intended purpose is the warming and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. The internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm, and 39 mm of the depth is taken up by the fan. When installed, the oven needs at least 15 cm clearance to the wall behind the unit, 20 cm to the ceiling and 5 cm to the side.

Inside, the IF30m is made of easy-care, deep-drawn ribbed stainless steel, and the heating is protected, integrated and runs all round on all four sides. One grid shelf made of electropolished stainless steel is part of the scope of delivery, and up to three fit in altogether. Each shelf may carry 20 kg, and a total load of 60 kg is permitted. The fully insulated stainless steel door closes with 2-point locking (compression door lock), and behind it is an inner glass door. Externally, the housing measures 585 x 704 x 434 mm with a net weight of around 48 kg.

Operation via ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY

The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY is an adaptive PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display. The temperature is measured by a Pt100 sensor of DIN class A in 4-wire measurement, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. In addition to the set temperature, the speed of the circulation motor, the exhaust air flap position, the program run time and the time zone including summer/winter time can be set. A digital countdown timer with target time display covers 1 minute to 99 days, and with SetpointWAIT the process time begins only when the chamber has actually reached the set temperature. Three freely selectable points can be calibrated. An Ethernet interface is available for evaluating the data logger, and the AtmoCONTROL software for this purpose is available for download as a time-limited trial version.

Safety

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature. An adjustable electronic temperature monitor runs in parallel, and a self-diagnosis system is used for fault finding.

Distinction from IN-m and IF-mplus

Anyone looking for the same application without air circulation will find it in the naturally convected counterpart IN30m, likewise 32 litres and with the same intended purpose. The case is different with the IF30mplus: it shares the chamber size with the IF30m, but is intended for tempering irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media and works with a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, that is, two displays instead of one.

Choosing the right size

The IF30m is the smallest size in the series, and a move down in size is not possible. If more than three shelves are needed or the planned load exceeds 60 kg, the IF55m with 53 litres, up to four shelves and 80 kg permissible total load is the next step.
