Memmert Incubator IF750mplus, 749 l, +20 to +80 °C, TwinDISPLAY

With 749 litres and up to 14 shelves, the Memmert Incubator Im IF750mplus forms the top end of the mplus series. Its intended purpose as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 is the tempering of irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media. Two stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard.

Pt100 pair with function takeover

Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A measure using 4-wire technology and monitor each other; if one fails, the other takes over the measuring function. A temperature between +20 and +80 °C can be set, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The display is provided by the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two TFT colour graphic displays.

Heating power and program transfer

HeatBALANCE shifts the heating power between the upper and lower heating group in the range of -50 to +50 percent. AtmoCONTROL via Ethernet or USB is used for programming, the sequence remains stored in the event of a power failure, and SetpointWAIT lets the process time begin only once the set temperature has been reached. Three values can be freely calibrated.

Limiters, monitors and sterilisation

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches the heating off at approx. 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. Optionally, an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can be set on the display. A permanently installed sterilisation program (4 h at 160 °C) is used for sterilising the interior and is not intended for sterilising load items. A self-diagnosis system additionally assists with fault finding.

AutoSAFETY monitoring

In addition to the temperature limiter, AutoSAFETY automatically follows the set value within a freely selectable range above and below. If the temperature deviates, the device triggers a visual and audible alarm, and if the value is exceeded, it disconnects the heating.

Dimensions, connection and installation

The housing stands mobile and lockable on castors. The IF750mplus is connected at 230 V with approx. 2,000 W or at 115 V with approx. 1,800 W. Internally, the cabinet measures 1,040 x 1,200 x 600 mm and externally 1,224 x 1,720 x 784 mm, with a net weight of approx. 217 kg, and a total load of 300 kg is permitted at 30 kg per shelf, distributed over up to 14 shelves.

Comparison with IF750m and IF750plus

With the IF750m, a single Pt100 sensor handles the measurement, controlled via SingleDISPLAY without HeatBALANCE, and the intended purpose remains a different one (fango, silicate and APS packs). The laboratory incubator IF750plus also has a TwinDISPLAY, but no medical intended purpose.

Largest chamber in the series

The IF750mplus is the largest chamber in the mplus series, and Memmert does not offer a larger size in this line. If 449 litres are sufficient, the smaller, also mobile IF450mplus is the more compact alternative.
