Memmert Incubator IN750mplus, 749 l, +20 to +80 °C, TwinDISPLAY

749 litres and up to 14 shelves: The Memmert Incubator IN750mplus is the largest model in the IN-mplus series and weighs approx. 217 kg net. As a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, it tempers irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media.

Control loop with two sensors

The ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY controls via an adaptive PID microprocessor controller with two TFT colour graphic displays. Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A monitor each other using 4-wire measurement, and if one sensor fails, the second automatically takes over. The setting temperature range extends from +20 to +80 °C, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C.

Safety and sterilisation

At approx. 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches the heating off. In addition, an adjustable temperature monitor of protection class 3.1 or an adjustable temperature limiter of protection class 2 can be selected on the display. The AutoSAFETY function automatically follows the set value within a freely selectable range, reports deviations visually and audibly and switches the heating off if the value is exceeded, and a self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding. A permanently installed program of 4 hours at 160 °C is available for sterilising the interior, not for load items.

Functions and programming

HeatBALANCE adjusts the heating power distribution between the upper and lower heating group from -50 to +50 percent, and SetpointWAIT lets the process time begin only once the set temperature has been reached. Three temperature values can be freely calibrated, and the program sequence remains stored in the event of a power failure. The AtmoCONTROL software creates, manages and transfers programs via the Ethernet interface or USB port.

Largest interior in the series

Fully insulated stainless steel doors with 2-point locking and inner glass doors open into the interior, which is made of easy-care, deep-drawn, ribbed stainless steel with 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised rear panel. Natural ventilation mixes in pre-heated fresh air via an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap, and an electronically adjustable throttle valve is fitted at the exhaust air port. Internally, the IN750mplus measures 1,040 x 1,200 x 600 mm and externally 1,224 x 1,720 x 784 mm plus 56 mm door handle. Two grid shelves are included as standard, and up to 14 shelves are possible at a maximum of 30 kg per shelf and 300 kg total load. It is connected at 230 V (approx. 2,000 W) or 115 V (approx. 1,800 W), in each case 50/60 Hz.

The IN750m compared

The IN750m of the same size is also a Class I medical device, but its intended purpose is the heating and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. It is controlled via a SingleDISPLAY with one Pt100 sensor instead of the two displays and redundant sensors of the IN750mplus.

Selection guide

If 449 litres are enough, the Memmert Incubator IN450mplus with eight instead of 14 shelves at the same total load of 300 kg is the smaller alternative. No model in the series is larger than the IN750mplus, which remains the top model with 749 litres and the highest number of shelves.
