Memmert Incubator IN30mplus, 32 l, +20 to +80 °C, TwinDISPLAY

32 litres interior, 704 mm housing height: the Memmert Incubator IN30mplus is the smallest size in the IN-mplus series. As a class I medical device according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745, it is used to temper irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media. One electropolished stainless steel grid shelf is supplied as standard, and up to three shelves are possible.

Display and sensors

The ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, an adaptive digital PID microprocessor controller with two TFT colour graphic displays, handles the control. Two Pt100 sensors of DIN class A measure in 4-wire technology and check each other: if one sensor fails, the second takes over automatically. The set temperature can be adjusted between +20 and +80 °C, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The working temperature range starts at least 5 °C above room temperature.

Safety

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 (DIN 12880) disconnects the heating from the mains at about 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature. Optionally, an adjustable temperature monitor (protection class 3.1) or an adjustable temperature limiter (protection class 2) can be activated on the display. The AutoSAFETY function follows the set point at a freely selectable offset, warns visually and audibly in case of deviations and switches off the heating if the set point is exceeded; a self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding. A program of 4 hours at 160 °C is permanently stored for sterilising the interior, not for sterilising load items.

Interior, ventilation and connection

The stainless steel interior is easy to clean, stiffened by deep-drawn ribbing and heated on all four sides. The housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised rear wall. With natural ventilation, an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap admits preheated fresh air, and the exhaust air volume is controlled by an electronically adjustable throttle valve on the exhaust air outlet. The internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm and the external dimensions 585 x 704 x 434 mm (plus 56 mm door handle), and the net weight is around 48 kg. A total load of 60 kg is permitted at a maximum of 20 kg per shelf. The mains connection is 230 V (approx. 1,600 W), and in the 115 V version approx. 800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz.

The IN30m in comparison

Same size, but with a different intended purpose: the IN30m is likewise a class I medical device, but is used for warming and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. It has only one SingleDISPLAY and a single Pt100 sensor, without the second display and the redundant sensor pairing of the IN30mplus.

Choosing the right size

If more capacity is needed, the next size up follows, the Memmert Incubator IN55mplus with 53 litres, up to four shelves and 80 kg permissible total load. With 32 litres and a maximum of three shelves, the IN30mplus remains the most compact model in the series.
