Memmert incubator IF110m, 108 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY

As a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745, the Memmert IF110m incubator is used to heat and maintain the temperature of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With an internal volume of 108 litres, it is the smaller of the two IF-m models, with an internal width of 560 mm. Two stainless steel grid shelves are fitted as standard; up to five can be fitted in total.

Chamber, door and heating

The cabinet measures 560 x 480 x 400 mm internally and 745 x 864 x 584 mm externally; its net weight is approximately 76 kg. A fully insulated stainless steel door with a two-point locking mechanism (compression door lock) sits in front of an inner glass door. The deep-drawn, ribbed stainless steel interior is heated on all four sides and can carry a load of 20 kg per shelf; the total permissible load is 175 kg.

ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY

An adaptive PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display controls the temperature; measurement is carried out via a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor using 4-wire technology, with a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C. The air turbine can be electronically adjusted in 10 % increments; an exhaust air flap mixes in preheated fresh air, which is then discharged via the exhaust air outlet fitted with a throttle valve. The digital countdown timer covers a range from one minute to 99 days; the ‘SetpointWAIT’ function only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has been reached. In the event of a power cut, the programme sequence remains stored; data is read out via Ethernet using a time-limited trial version of AtmoCONTROL.

Temperature limitation

A mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, cuts off the heating at approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature; this is supplemented by an adjustable electronic temperature monitoring system and a self-diagnostic system for fault detection.

Distinction within the product range

The IN110m covers the same intended use and chamber size, but operates using natural convection rather than forced air circulation. In the case of the IF110mplus, which is the same size, the intended use changes to the temperature control of rinsing and infusion solutions as well as contrast media, regulated via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two displays.

Selection guide: other chamber sizes

For smaller quantities, the IF75m is sufficient, with a 74-litre capacity, an internal width of 400 mm, up to six shelves and a maximum total load capacity of 120 kg. If more chamber volume is required, the IF160m is the next option, with a capacity of 161 litres, eight shelves and a maximum total load of 210 kg.
