Memmert Incubator IF260m, 256 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY

With 256 litres of internal volume and up to nine shelves, the Memmert Incubator Im IF260m is the largest IF-m model without castors. It is classified as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, with the intended purpose of heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. Two stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard.

Control and air circulation

Control is provided by the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display. A Pt100 sensor of DIN class A measures using 4-wire technology, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. Air circulation is provided by an air turbine that is electronically adjustable in 10 percent steps, an exhaust air flap mixes in pre-heated fresh air, and the exhaust air port with throttle valve discharges it again.

Timer and data logging

The countdown timer can be set from one minute to 99 days, and SetpointWAIT only starts counting the process time once the set temperature has been reached. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated, and the data logger is read out via Ethernet using a time-limited AtmoCONTROL trial version.

Housing, door and loading

Internal dimensions 640 x 800 x 500 mm, external dimensions 824 x 1,183 x 684 mm, net weight approx. 110 kg: The deep-drawn, ribbed stainless steel interior with 4-sided all-round heating holds up to nine shelves with 20 kg each, and a total load of 300 kg is permitted. The fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking sits in front of an inner glass door.

Temperature monitoring

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches the heating off at approx. 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. In addition there are an adjustable electronic temperature monitor and a self-diagnosis system for fault finding.

IN-m and IF-mplus compared

For the same application with natural instead of forced convection, the IN260m is available, with the same chamber size and intended purpose. The IF260mplus shares the chamber size but has a different intended purpose, the tempering of irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media, and is operated via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two displays.

Smaller or larger chamber

If 161 litres are enough, the IF160m with eight shelves is the more compact choice. For larger quantities, the mobile IF450m follows, with 449 litres and 1,040 mm internal width.
