Memmert Incubator IN110m, 108 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY

With 108 litres internal volume, the Memmert Incubator IN110m lies between the IN75m and the IN160m. It is a class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, and its intended purpose is the warming and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. Two electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, up to five shelves are possible, and the total load goes up to 175 kg.

Pt100 sensor, PID controller and time control

The temperature is measured by a Pt100 sensor of DIN class A using 4-wire technology, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The control loop is handled by the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: an adaptive, multifunctional PID microprocessor with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. The digital countdown timer covers a range from 1 minute to 99 days. Thanks to the SetpointWAIT function, the process time only starts to run once the setpoint temperature has been reached, and three temperature values can be freely calibrated.

Ventilation and temperature monitoring

Natural ventilation admixes preheated fresh air via an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap, and an equally electronically controllable throttle valve sits at the exhaust air port. Around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches the heating off, supplemented by an adjustable electronic temperature monitoring system. A self-diagnosis system supports fault finding.

Logging

After a power failure, the program sequence remains stored. Via an Ethernet interface, the data logger can be read out, managed and organised with the time-limited trial version of AtmoCONTROL, and a USB stick with the AtmoCONTROL software is available as an accessory.

Interior, door and connection

The interior is made of easy-care, deep-drawn ribbed stainless steel and is heated on all four sides, and the housing consists of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The fully insulated stainless steel door closes via a 2-point locking system with compression door seal, and behind it there is an inner glass door. Internally, the IN110m measures 560 x 480 x 400 mm, externally 745 x 864 x 584 mm plus 56 mm door handle, and it weighs around 76 kg net. The mains connection is 230 V with approx. 1,400 W or 115 V with approx. 900 W, each 50/60 Hz.

Distinction from the IN110 and IN110mplus

Without a medical intended purpose, LT Laborhandel carries the Memmert Incubator IN110 in the same size. The IN110mplus also holds 108 litres, but shows its values via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY instead of SingleDISPLAY and serves a different intended purpose: warming irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media.

Selection guide: which size fits

For a smaller space requirement, the IN75m with 74 litres offers six instead of five shelves, but only 120 instead of 175 kg total load. Those who need more volume will find it with the IN160m: 161 litres, eight shelves, 210 kg total load.
