Memmert Incubator IF75m, 74 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY

74 litres internal volume with an internal width that remains 400 mm, but an internal height of 560 mm: the Memmert Incubator Im IF75m is the largest IF-m chamber with 400 mm internal width. It, too, is intended as a class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 for the warming and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With up to six shelves, it takes more shelves than the two smaller models (IF30m three, IF55m four).

Chamber, door and loading

The interior measures 400 x 560 x 330 mm and is made of easy-care, deep-drawn ribbed stainless steel with integrated 4-sided all-round heating. Two stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, up to six fit in, each 20 kg per shelf, 120 kg total load. The fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking (compression door seal) sits in front of the inner glass door. Externally, the housing measures 585 x 944 x 514 mm, and the net weight is around 66 kg.

Control and air circulation

The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY controls via an adaptive PID microprocessor with TFT colour graphic display, a Pt100 sensor of DIN class A supplies the measured values using 4-wire technology, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The forced air is generated by an electronically controllable, quiet air turbine, adjustable in 10 per cent steps, an adjustable exhaust air flap admixes preheated fresh air, and an exhaust air port with throttle valve discharges the air again. The digital countdown timer ranges from 1 minute to 99 days, SetpointWAIT only runs the process time once the setpoint temperature has been reached, and three temperature values can be freely calibrated.

Safety and diagnostics

A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches off at around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and an adjustable electronic temperature monitoring system runs alongside. A built-in self-diagnosis system is used for fault finding.

Distinction from IN-m and IF-mplus

With the same chamber size, but with natural instead of forced convection, the IN75m is available for the same physiotherapeutic intended purpose. The IF75mplus, on the other hand, has a different intended purpose, the warming of irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media, and uses a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY with two displays.

Selection guide: suitable size

Those who can manage with 53 litres get, with the IF55m, a lower housing with the same footprint (external height 784 instead of 944 mm) with four instead of six shelves. If more volume and a larger internal width of 560 mm are needed, the IF110m with 108 litres and 175 kg permissible total load follows, although with a maximum of five shelves.

As a class I medical device, the Memmert Incubator Im IF75m is intended exclusively for physiotherapeutic applications with fango, silicate and APS packs.

For the IF75m, the 115 V voltage variant, extended over-temperature protection and temperature limiting to fixed values between +50 °C and +75 °C, among others, can be selected as factory options when ordering.
