Memmert Incubator IN30m, 32 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY

The Memmert Incubator IN30m is a class I medical device according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Its intended purpose is the warming and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With 32 litres of internal volume, it is the smallest model in the IN-m series, and the internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm. One electropolished stainless steel grid shelf is supplied as standard, and up to three shelves are possible.

SingleDISPLAY and temperature control

The IN30m is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. A Pt100 sensor of DIN class A measures in 4-wire measurement, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The working temperature range starts at least 5 °C above room temperature and extends to +80 °C. The SetpointWAIT function starts the process time only when the set temperature has been reached, and the digital countdown timer can be set from 1 minute to 99 days. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated.

Ventilation, safety and diagnostics

Natural ventilation supplies preheated fresh air via an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap, and the exhaust air outlet has an electronically controllable throttle valve. A mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at around 20 °C above the maximum oven temperature, and an electronic temperature monitor can also be set. A self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding. The data logger can be read out, managed and organised via Ethernet, and a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download for this purpose. A USB stick with the software is available as an accessory.

Construction, loading and connection

The interior is made of easy-care stainless steel, stiffened by deep-drawn ribbing and equipped with a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system. One electropolished stainless steel grid shelf is supplied as standard, a maximum of three shelves is possible, and a total load of 60 kg at 20 kg per shelf is permitted. The fully insulated stainless steel door has 2-point locking with a compression door lock and an inner glass door. The IN30m is connected at 230 V at approx. 1,600 W or at 115 V at approx. 800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. The external dimensions are 585 x 704 x 434 mm plus 56 mm door handle, the net weight is around 48 kg, and the gross weight in the carton is around 64 kg.

Distinction: laboratory unit IN30 and IN30mplus

In the same size, LT Laborhandel carries the Memmert Incubator IN30 without a medical intended purpose. Also with 32 litres, there is the IN30mplus with ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY instead of SingleDISPLAY. Its intended purpose is different: it is used to temper irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media, not to warm fango, silicate and APS packs.

Choosing the right size

The IN30m is the smallest model in the IN-m series. Those who need more chamber volume will find the next size up in the IN55m with 53 litres, four shelves and 80 kg total load.
