The Memmert Incubator IN75m is a class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. The intended purpose is the warming and keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With 74 litres internal volume and internal dimensions of 400 x 560 x 330 mm, two electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, and up to six shelves are possible.
ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY and time control
The core of the control system is the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY with an adaptive, multifunctional PID microprocessor controller and a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. A Pt100 sensor of DIN class A supplies the measured values using 4-wire technology, and the setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. SetpointWAIT only starts counting the process time once the setpoint temperature has been reached, and the digital countdown timer can be programmed from 1 minute to 99 days. Three temperature values can be freely calibrated.
Ventilation and safety technology
An electronically adjustable exhaust air flap admixes preheated fresh air into the natural ventilation, supplemented by an exhaust air port with an electronically controllable throttle valve. For protection against over-temperature, a mechanical temperature limiter TB protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches the heating off at around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and an adjustable electronic temperature monitoring system and a self-diagnosis system for fault finding are added. After a power failure, the program sequence remains stored. The data logger is read out via Ethernet with a time-limited trial version of AtmoCONTROL, and a USB stick with the software is available as an accessory.
Loading, interior and connection
Easy-care, deep-drawn ribbed stainless steel forms the interior, and the 4-sided all-round heating is integrated behind it, protected. Two electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included in the scope of delivery, up to six shelves fit, and a total of 120 kg is permitted at 20 kg per shelf. The fully insulated stainless steel door closes via a 2-point locking system with compression door seal and has an inner glass door. Connection is made with 230 V at approx. 1,250 W or with 115 V at approx. 900 W, each 50/60 Hz. Externally, the IN75m measures 585 x 944 x 514 mm plus 56 mm door handle, with a net weight of around 66 kg.
Distinction: laboratory device IN75 and IN75mplus
In the same size, LT Laborhandel offers the Memmert Incubator IN75 without a medical intended purpose. The IN75mplus also has 74 litres, but shows the values via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, not via SingleDISPLAY, and serves a different purpose: warming irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media, not the warming of fango, silicate and APS packs.
Selection guide: which size fits
Smaller is the IN55m with 53 litres, four shelves and 80 kg total load. With the next larger IN110m, volume (108 litres) and total load (175 kg) increase, but the number of shelves drops to five. With six shelves, the IN75m therefore offers one shelf more than the larger IN110m.
