The Memmert universal oven UF160m offers 161 litres of internal volume and space for up to 8 shelves, with a load capacity of 20 kg per shelf and 210 kg in total. Like all units in the series, it is a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is intended exclusively for heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy, controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY.
Capacity, control and safety at a glance
In the 161-litre interior, an air turbine that is electronically controllable in 10 % steps and an exhaust air flap that admixes preheated fresh air are at work, and the stainless steel interior is heated by 4-sided all-round heating. Temperature range and setting accuracy correspond to the rest of the series with 20 to 300 °C and 0.1 or 0.5 °C respectively, measured by a DIN class A Pt100 sensor. The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY controls temperature, forced air circulation and program run time, stores the run in the event of a power failure and can be read out via Ethernet and AtmoCONTROL. A DIN 12880 temperature limiter of protection class 1 switches off in the event of over-temperature, and a self-diagnosis system and three calibratable temperature values complement the safety technology.
Selection guide within the UF-m series
The housing measures 745 x 1,104 x 584 mm, plus 56 mm in depth for the door handle, and the net weight is around 96 kg. At the installation site, a distance of at least 15 cm from the wall and at least 5 cm at the sides must be observed. Compared with the UF110m it offers 161 instead of 108 litres and up to 8 instead of 5 shelves, with the same housing depth of 584 mm. If that is still not enough, the UF260m is the next size. For two redundant sensors and two displays, the sister model UF160mplus is available, and as a laboratory unit without classification as a medical device there is the Memmert universal oven UF160.
