The Memmert universal oven UF450m is the first mobile model of the UF-m series: 449 litres of internal volume on castors, lockable at the desired location. The interior measures 1,040 x 720 x 600 mm and holds up to 8 shelves with up to 30 kg each, up to 300 kg in total. The UF450m is also a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, intended for heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs, controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY.
Technology of the first mobile model in the series
Unlike the six smaller models, the UF450m is designed for 400 V and 3 x 230 V without neutral conductor at 50/60 Hz, and the power consumption is around 5,800 watts. In the 449 litre interior, an electronically controllable air turbine distributes the heat, and an exhaust air flap admixes preheated fresh air. The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY controls the temperature between 20 and 300 °C with a setting accuracy of 0.1 or 0.5 °C, plus forced air circulation fan speed and programme run time, and SetpointWAIT delays the start of the keep-warm time until the setpoint temperature is reached. The safety equipment includes an adjustable electronic temperature monitoring, a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 that switches off the heating around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and a self-diagnosis system for fault finding.
Choosing within the UF-m series
The housing measures 1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mm, plus 56 mm in depth for the door handle, and the net weight is around 161 kg. At the installation site, a distance of at least 15 cm to the wall and at least 5 cm at the sides must be kept. The UF750m, with 749 litres, offers more volume, and the UF260m, with 256 litres, is one size smaller. The sister model UF450mplus is available for two redundant sensors and two displays. As a laboratory device without classification as a medical device, there is the Memmert universal oven UF450.
