The Memmert universal oven UF260m offers 256 litres of internal volume and space for up to 9 shelves, and is the largest model of the series before the three mobile sizes UF450m, UF750m and UF1060m. It is also a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, intended for heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs, controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY.
Load, control and safety in the UF260m
With a permissible total load of up to 300 kg, the UF260m reaches the same load limit as the larger, mobile models of the series. An air turbine with electronic control in 10 % steps and an exhaust air flap for preheated fresh air distribute the heat in the 256 litre interior with up to 9 shelves. The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY controls the temperature between 20 and 300 °C with a setting accuracy of 0.1 or 0.5 °C, plus forced air circulation fan speed and programme run time, and the digital countdown timer covers 1 minute to 99 days. In addition to the electronic temperature monitoring, a mechanical limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating around 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and a self-diagnosis system helps with fault finding.
Choosing between stationary and mobile
The housing measures 824 x 1,183 x 684 mm, plus 56 mm in depth for the door handle, and the net weight is around 110 kg. At the installation site, a distance of at least 15 cm to the wall and at least 5 cm at the sides must be kept, and the cabinet is transported upright. The UF450m, with 449 litres, offers more volume and stands on castors that can be moved and locked, and the UF160m, with 161 litres, is one size smaller. The sister model UF260mplus is available for two redundant sensors and two displays. As a laboratory device without classification as a medical device, there is the Memmert universal oven UF260.
