With 53 litres of internal volume and up to 4 shelves, the Memmert universal oven UF55m offers more space than the smallest model in the series, with the same external width of 585 mm. The UF55m is also a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is intended exclusively for the physiotherapeutic heating of fango, silicate and APS packs, controlled by a ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY.
How the UF55m distributes and monitors heat
An air turbine, electronically adjustable in 10 % steps, circulates air through the 53-litre interior, supported by an exhaust air flap that admixes preheated fresh air. In terms of temperature, the UF55m covers 20 to 300 °C, with a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C above that, measured by a DIN class A Pt100 sensor with 4-wire measurement. The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY handles control of temperature, forced air circulation speed and program run time, logs the run in the event of a power failure and can be read out via Ethernet using the time-limited AtmoCONTROL trial version. As a second safety level alongside electronic monitoring, a DIN 12880 temperature limiter of protection class 1 switches off the heating about 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and self-diagnosis and a three-point calibration function are also included.
Selection guide within the UF-m series
The housing measures 585 x 784 x 514 mm, plus 56 mm in depth for the door handle, and the net weight is around 57 kg. Compared with the smaller UF30m with 32 litres and up to 3 shelves, it offers 53 litres and up to 4 shelves, and the permissible total load rises from 60 to 80 kg. If more shelves and volume are needed, the UF75m is the next step. For two redundant sensors and two displays, the sister model UF55mplus is available, and as a laboratory unit without classification as a medical device there is the Memmert universal oven UF55.
